Az észt Biztonsági Rendőrség (KaPo) egy közös nemzetközi művelet eredményeként megállapította, hogy az Oroszországi Föderáció Fegyveres Erői parancsnoksága alatt álló katonai egység kibertámadásokat hajtott végre Ukrajna, valamint a NATO és az EU országai, főként Észtország ellen.
A hírt a Jevropejszka pravda közölte az ERR-re hivatkozva.
Az Állami Ügyészség vezette Központi Bűnügyi Rendőrség nyomozást folytatott, amelynek során megállapították, hogy ugyanez az egység 2020-ban támadásokat hajtott végre észt állami intézmények ellen.

Nyolc és fél év börtönre ítéltek egy nőt Észtországban, aki a vádak szerint a kínai katonai hírszerzés számára folytatott kémtevékenységet – közölte az MTI pénteken a balti állam közszolgálati rádiójára hivatkozva.
A tájékoztatás szerint a 42 éves nő pénzt és egyéb juttatásokat kapott szolgálataiért cserébe. A nőt államellenes bűncselekmények és egy kábítószervétség miatt ítélték el.
A Postimees című helyi napilap úgy tudja, hogy a nő egy már korábban elítélt, ismert észt tengerkutató bűntársa volt. A tudóst 2021 márciusában ítélték három év szabadságvesztésre szintén Kína javára folytatott kémtevékenység miatt. A férfi bevallotta bűnösségét.

Litvániából négy orosz diplomatát utasítottak ki, Lettországból és Észtországból pedig hármat-hármat.
Azért kell távozniuk, mert „a diplomáciai státuszuknak ellentmondó tevékenységeket folytattak, és számításba kellett venni a folyamatban lévő orosz agressziót is Ukrajnában” – írta Edgars Rinkevics lett külügyminiszter a Twitteren.
Az észt külügyminisztérium közlése szerint azzal vádolják a diplomatákat, hogy „közvetlenül és aktívan aláásták Észtország biztonságát, és az orosz katonai lépéseket igazoló propagandát terjesztettek.”
Litvánia azt nyilatkozta, hogy a kiutasításokra az „Ukrajnával való szolidaritás” jegyében került sor.
Pénteken Bulgáriában is nemkívánatos személlyé nyilvánítottak és kiutasítottak tíz orosz diplomatát.
Marija Zaharova, az orosz külügyminisztérium szóvivője az intézkedésekre reagálva elmondta: „orosz diplomaták minden alaptalan kiutasítása arányos választ fog maga után vonni.”

A kémkedési ügyek elszaporodtak az utóbbi években Oroszország és a nyugati államok között, az ukrán válság és a dél-ukrajnai Krím félsziget 2014-es orosz bekebelezése óta egyre növekszik a feszültség a felek között.
Áprilisban Olekszandr Szoszonjukot, Ukrajna szentpétervári konzulját vette őrizetbe az FSZB azzal a váddal, hogy titkos értesülésekre akart szert tenni, és felkérték, hogy hagyja el Oroszországot.
Oroszországot számos kémkedési üggyel gyanúsítják több európai országban, több diplomata kiutasítására került már sor kölcsönösen.

A következő héttől Észtország bezárja iskoláit és felsőoktatási intézményeit a koronavírus-helyzet miatt – közölte az ERR.
Az információk szerint a tanintézmények december 14. és január 4. között zárva lesznek, ezalatt az idő alatt az oktatási folyamat csak távoktatásban folyhat. Az óvodák továbbra is működhetnek.
Amennyiben a járványhelyzet az országban nem javul, az intézkedéseket január 4. után is folytatják.
