Robbanás történt szerdán a délnyugat-franciaországi Bergerac lőszergyárában, nyolcan megsebesültek, egyikük állapota életveszélyes – közölte a polgármesteri hivatal.
Az ismeretlen eredetű detonáció a nitrocellulózt (lőgyapotot) gyártó Manuco cég egyik épületében következett be, amely a súlyos ipari katasztrófát elszenvedett Seveso olasz városról elnevezett katasztrófavédelmi skála szerint magas veszélyességi besorolású.
Jean-Charles Jobard, Dordogne megye alprefektusa szerint a robbanás egy olyan épületben történt, amelyben „kevesebb mint két tonna nitrocellulóz” volt.
A megyei közigazgatási hivatal (prefektúra) szerint a robbanás helyszínén tűz keletkezett. A detonáció környékét lezárták, a tüzet délután négy óra tájban sikerült megfékezni. A helyszínre öt mentőautó, két helikopter és mintegy ötven tűzoltó érkezett.
A Manuco honlapján közzétett információk szerint a céget 2021-ben az Eurenco, Európa vezető lőpor és robbanószergyártója vásárolta meg. A cég katonai robbanószereket, hajtóanyagot és üzemanyagot, valamint polgári célú robbanószereket gyárt.
