Родичі жертв авіакатастрофи вже подали колективний позов і вимагають компенсації в 1,1 млрд доларів США.
«Юристи Канади подали груповий позов (до Ірану – авт.) через загиблих на борту українського літака, збитого над Тегераном минулого місяця. Заявники вимагають компенсацію в розмірі не менше 1,5 млрд канадських доларів (1,1 мільярда доларів США) », – інформує агенство Reuters.
Відповідачами у цій справі виступають – сам Іран, а також його керівник і духовний лідер аятолла Алі Хаменеї, головнокомандувачі КВІР, в тому числі генерал Амір Алі Хаджизаде, очільник ВПС країни тощо.
Так, у самому позові зазначається, що за попередніми даними, катастрофа українського літака була «навмисним і свідомим актом тероризму».
Позов проти Ірану, який збив літак МАУ, подано у канадському місті Торонто від імені «Джона Доу» – анонімного родича одного з пасажирів із Канади, загиблих під час авіакатастрофи. Самі заявники принципово не хочуть розкривати ім’я провідного позивача, «щоб не створювати ризик для здоров’я і життя для його родини з боку іранського режиму».
За словами одного із адвокатів постраждалих Джона Арнольда, документ перебуває в процесі передачі Тегерану. Він також вважає, що судовий процес може тривати «роками».
Нагадаємо, що 8 січня цього року іранські військові збили український пасажирський літак, на борту якого перебувало 167 пасажирів і 9 членів екіпажу. Унаслідок авіакатастрофи ніхто не вижив.
Іран запропонував компенсацію сім’ям жертв катастрофи літака МАУ в сумі 80 тисяч доларів. Президент України Володимир Зеленський зазначив, що цього замало і Україна вимагатиме компенсації в більшому розмірі.

Так звана „Зелена зона” іракської столиці, де розташовані урядові комплекси та іноземні диппредставництва, постраждала в ніч проти вівторка від удару трьома ракетами, дві з яких розірвалися біля Посольства США.
Про це йдеться в повідомленні американського видання Daily News.
„Три ракети у вівторок вранці впали всередині „Зеленої зони” Багдаду, пара з них розірвалася біля посольства США в Іраку”, – зауважується в повідомленні.
При цьому, видання розмістило відеозапис, зроблений репортеркою ВВС зсередини американського посольства після двох вибухів, ідентифікованих як розриви реактивних ракет.
На запису чутна робота сигналізації й оповіщення про необхідність негайного переміщення всіх співробітників і відвідувачів до укриття.
За попередньою інформацією місцевих сил безпеки, ракети були запущені з району Зафаранія, поруч із Багдадом. Повідомлень про жертви від ракетного удару не було.
Нинішня атака стала другою за останні два тижні, коли ракети потрапили в так звану „Зелену зону” Багдаду, яка вважається безпечною. Попередній удар був нанесений 8 січня.
Тоді також не повідомлялося про пошкодження чи жертви серед населення.

Зазначається, що сили безпеки Іраку розігнали протестувальників на мосту через річку Тигр. Вони відкрили попереджувальний вогонь та застосували сльозогінний газ.
Внаслідок цього від вогнепального поранення на місці загинув один протестувальник, ще один — у лікарні. Щонайменше 25 людей отримали поранення.
Як повідомлялося, протести в Іраку спалахнули у Багдаді ще у жовтні 2019-го року, і поширилися на інші міста країни. Протестувальники виступають проти безробіття, корупції в уряді та низької якості послуг, зокрема відключення електроенергії та нестачі води. Також протестувальники вимагають перезавантаження влади, що утвердилася у країні після американської військової операції у 2003 році. На думку прихильників протестного руху, чинний уряд просякнутий корупцією і не здатен подолати безробіття та надавати державні послуги належної якості.
