 Зазначимо, що Коксохімічний завод є частиною Криворіжсталі, який нині називається ВАТ «АрселорМіттал Кривий Ріг».
 Пресслужба прокоментувала ситуацію з хмарою, що накрила Кривий Ріг: «Сьогодні близько 05:00 год сталося раптове відключення деяких виробничих потужностей від зовнішньої енергосистеми. Виробники змушені були вжити кризові заходи для збереження виробничого обладнання, зокрема обладнання коксохімічного виробництва та забезпечення безпеки працівників. Нажаль, видимі наслідки були помітні в місті».
 Пресслужба повідомила, що енергопостачання вже відновлено і ситуація під контролем.

 Керівник регіональної служби з надзвичайних ситуацій Клаудіус Надольний повідомив інформагентству «PAP», що шістьох співробітників підприємства доставили до лікарні з опіками та переломами, стан трьох із них лікарі оцінили як небезпечний для життя.
 На місце події скерували 60 пожежників і два рятувальні вертольоти. «Пшиязнь», що належить Jastrzebie Coal Company (JSW), є другим за величиною коксохімічним заводом у Польщі.
