Хлопчики, віком 13 і 16 років, гралися в гумовому човні на воді на острові Сайбай, коли обидва почали пливти до берега, але раптом один із них зник. Влада отримала повідомлення про зникнення дитини о 4 годині ранку. Почалися пошуки, і незабаром його тіло було знайдено.
Експерти встановили, що на нього напав крокодил, судячи з отриманих травм.
Влада намагається встановити місцезнаходження крокодила, довжина якого оцінюється в 3,5 метра. Молодший хлопчик знаходиться в безпеці, повідомляє The Guardian.
Це не перший подібний випадок нападу крокодилів на людей в Австралії. У національному парку в Зімбабве крокодил раніше убив чоловіка.

На острові Борнео в Індонезії крокодил проковтнув восьмирічного хлопчика, – повідомив у п’ятницю інформаційний портал The Sydney News Today. У середу маленький хлопчик та його молодший брат плавали у річці в східній частині провінції Калімантан, а їхній батько був біля будинку, коли на старшого сина напав крокодил, – сказав член місцевої пошуково-рятувальної групи.
Батько стрибнув у річку слідом за маленьким хлопчиком, але рептилія проковтнула дитину, батько даремно наздогнав тварину і почав бити його голими руками, – додав він. Усім відомо, що в річці живуть крокодили. “Однак вони часто ходили туди купатися або за водою для готування їжі”, – пояснив рятувальник.
У четвер у районі Кута-Тимур зловили шестиметрового крокодила, всередині якого виявили тіло дитини. На відео, опублікованому на YouTube, видно, як рятувальник витягує тіло зі шлунка рептилії перед членами сім’ї, які стояли і ридали поруч.
