У місті Мадурай в штаті Тамілнад на півдні Індії у вагоні потяга вибухнув газовий балон, який використовували пасажири для приготування напоїв. Внаслідок пожежі загинули дев’ятеро людей.
Як повідомляють журналісти, поїзд із туристами знаходився на стоянці біля залізничної станції в районі Мадура. Усього під час вибуху у вагоні перебували понад 50 паломників з Уттар-Прадеш.
За словами очевидців, тим, хто вижив, довелося виламувати двері, щоб вийти з вагона у полум’ї.
Офіційні особи заявили, що газовий балон, за допомогою якого пасажири вагона готували собі напої, був занесений до поїзда незаконним шляхом.

У Харківській області 14 квітня двоє людей підірвались на мінах, вони перебувають у лікувальних закладах.
Про це Головне управління Державної служби з надзвичайних ситуацій України у Харківській області повідомляє у Фейсбуці, передає Укрінформ.
“14 квітня в Ізюмському районі сталося 2 випадки підриву цивільних людей”, – ідеться в повідомленні.
Перший випадок стався біля села Степове близько 11:00 під час обходу лінії електропередач працівниками “Харківобленерго”. Один із них, чоловік 1977 року народження, наступив на міну, в результаті чого отримав травматичну ампутацію правої стопи.
Другий випадок стався на ринку у місті Ізюм на вулиці Цусимській. Жінка, 1994 року народження, під час господарювання поряд з кіоском наступила на протипіхотну міну (ймовірно, ПФМ-1). Вибухом їй пошкодило ногу.
Наразі всі постраждалі перебувають на лікуванні в лікувальних закладах.
На одному з найбільших прісноводних озер штату Кеббі, Нігерія, з наразі невідомих причин перекинулося пасажирське судно, тих, які вижили, досі шукають.
Інцидент стався в середу вдень поблизу міста Вара на березі озера Каїнджі, яке знаходиться в середній ділянці річки Нігер, повідомляє агентство Reuters, посилаючись на речника місцевих офіційних органів.
На борту перебувало 200 пасажирів. Прессекретар Яхая Сарки підтвердив, що жертв може бути дуже багато, тіла померлих та тих, хто вижив, все ще шукають рятувальники.
Один із живих пасажирів, Бухарі Абубакар, заявив: йому відомо, що наразі з озера та корабля врятували 40 осіб, кілька десятків людей, включаючи жінок та дітей, зникли безвісти.
У середу ввечері води озера Канджі винесли на берег п’ять тіл, жителі м. Вара очікують, що найближчими днями біля узбережжя з’явиться ще більше тіл померлих, тому багато хто не наважується виходити на берег озера – популярного місця відпочинку місцевих жителів.
За свідченнями очевидців, корабель був перевантажений, через що і сталася трагедія. Ймовірно, це одна з наймасштабніших корабельних аварій в історії Нігерії, хоча точна кількість жертв поки не відома.
Пасажирами корабля були здебільшого шахтарі та їх рідні, після роботи в золоторуднику на одному березі вони вирушили додому на інший бік озера.
