Az esetről szintén beszámoló G4media.ro bukaresti hírportál felidézte, hogy április elsején hasonló tartalmú romaellenes üzenet jelent meg a főváros egy másik buszmegállójában is. A G4Media rámutatott: az Asztalos Csabának címzett halálos fenyegetést megelőzően megszaporodtak Romániában a radikális, legionárius (az egykori román fasiszta szervezet retorikáját idéző), idegengyűlölő üzenetek, amelyek többek közt Maia Morgenstern színművészt, Raed Arafat katasztrófavédelmi államtitkárt és Klaus Iohannis államfőt vették célba.
Asztalos Csaba nem kívánta különösebben kommentálni a fenyegetést.
„Mit mondhatnék? Mi folytatjuk a munkánkat” – jelentette ki a CNCD elnöke.
A Forradalom tér elnevezés a kommunista diktatúra bukásához vezető 1989-es decemberi népfelkelésnek állít emléket. A Román Kommunista Párt (PCR) egykori – jelenleg a belügyminisztérium által használt – székházának tetejéről menekült el 1989. december 22-én helikopterrel a nem sokkal később elfogott, egy rögtönítélő katonai bíróság által halálra ítélt és kivégzett Nicolae Ceausescu kommunista diktátor.
