 Відповідне рішення було прийняте з огляду на те, що члени ополчення Three Percenters брали участь в облозі Капітолію 6 січня 2021 року, а також намагалися викрасти губернатора штату Мічиган.
 Відтак членам організації заборонений в’їзд до Канади, а співпраця канадських компаній та приватних осіб з членами організації є протизаконною. Крім того, уряд може в будь-який час прийняти рішення про блокування фінансових активів членів ополчення в Канаді.
 Three Percenters – це радикальна ультраправа децентралізована організація, одне з найбільших народних ополчень у США.
 Окрім неї, до списку терористів потрапив неонацист, активіст Джеймс Мейсон, британська расистська група Aryan Strikeforce та організація – член «Ісламської держави» в Демократичній Республіці Конго.
