  A rendőrség közlése szerint egy prominens pakisztáni ügyvédet agyon lőttek hétfőn egy bíróság épületében.
 A CNN a rendőrség és a szemtanúk beszámolói nyomán jelentett arról, hogy egy neves pakisztáni ügyvédet, egyben emberi jogi aktivistát hétfőn agyonlőttek az északnyugati Pesavar városában található egyik bíróság épületében.
 Muhammad Ijaz Khan fővárosi rendőr megosztotta, 79 éves Abdul Latif Afridit, a pakisztáni Legfelsőbb Bíróság ügyvédi kamarájának korábbi elnökét hatszor lőtték meg, amikor a pesavari legfelsőbb bíróság épületének egyik pihenőjében tartózkodott.
 A gyanúsított pedig egy 24 éves ügyvédjelölt, Adnan Sami Afridi, aki Khan közlése szerint nem állt közvetlen kapcsolatban a prominens ügyvéddel, a feltételezett elkövetőt pedig már őrizetbe vették.
 Egy szemtanú megosztotta, hogy a feltételezett fegyveres a lövöldözés után felemelt kézzel várta a hatóságokat, és közölte, hogy ezzel most bosszút állt apja haláláért. A rendőrség szintén arról tájékoztatta a CNN-t, hogy a feltételezett gyanúsított kijelentette, bosszúból gyilkolt.
