Az Egyesült Nemzetek Szervezete felfüggesztett minden utazást a jemeni húszi lázadók által birtokolt területekre, miután további hét munkatársukat túszul ejtette a csoport.
A húszik korábban őrizetbe vették az ENSZ munkatársait, valamint az Egyesült Államok akkori szanaai nagykövetségével és segélyszervezetekkel kapcsolatban álló személyeket.
„Tegnap a de facto szanaai hatóságok további ENSZ-személyzetet vettek őrizetbe az ellenőrzésük alatt álló területeken” – olvasható az ENSZ közleményében .
„Az összes alkalmazottja biztonságának biztosítása érdekében az Egyesült Nemzetek Szervezete felfüggesztett minden hivatalos mozgást a de facto hatóságok ellenőrzése alatt álló területekre és azokon belül.”
Azelőtt az ENSZ összesen 16 jemeni alkalmazottja volt húszik által fogva tartva.
A munkatársak megállapították, hogy hét másik személyt elfogtak, és leállították a munkájukat, amely élelmiszert, gyógyszert és egyéb segélyeket biztosít az elszegényedett nemzetnek.

A Pentagon szerint olaj szivárog a görög zászló alatt közlekedő Sounion olajszállítóból, amelyet a jemeni húszik támadtak meg a múlt héten, és még mindig lángol a Vörös-tengeren. A hajó 150 ezer tonna nyersolajat szállít.
A Pentagon szóvivője szerint megpróbáltak vontatóhajókat küldeni a Sounion megmentésére, de a húszik támadással fenyegettek.

Az amerikai hadsereg újabb támadást intézett csütörtökön az iráni támogatású húszi milíciák állásai ellen Jemenben – jelentették amerikai sajtóorgánumok.
A CNN, a CBS és az ABC hírcsatorna amerikai képviselőkre hivatkozva számolt be arról, hogy az amerikai hadsereg csapatai a héten immáron a negyedik alkalommal lőtték a húszik állásait.
Az amerikai hadsereg csapatai a húszik ellenőrzése alatt álló rakétaindító állásokra mért csapást – írta az X-en az amerikai fegyveres erők központi parancsnoksága (CENTCOM).
A légicsapások célja a húszik nemzetközi és kereskedelmi hajózás ellen folytatott támadásainak megfékezése a Vörös-tengeren, a Báb al-Mandab szorosban és az Ádeni-öbölben – tették hozzá.
„Az Irán által támogatott húszi terroristák műveleteinek folytatása veszélyezteti a nemzetközi hajózást és megzavarja a kereskedelmi hajózási útvonalakat a Vörös-tenger déli részén és a szomszédos vizeken” – idézik a bejegyzésben Michael Erik Kurilla tábornokot, a CENTCOM parancsnokát, aki hozzátette, hogy az amerikai hadsereg továbbra is mindent megtesz az ártatlan tengerészek és az amerikai nép védelmében.
Az amerikai hadsereg korábban egy jemeni harci drón indításáról is beszámolt, amellyel egy Marshall-szigeteki zászló alatt hajózó amerikai teherszállító hajót találtak el. A támadás károkat okozott, de sebesülést nem.
Az Egyesült Államok és Nagy-Britannia a múlt héten szövetségeseik támogatásával átfogó katonai csapást mért a húszikra válaszul a húszi milíciák Vörös-tengeren végrehajtott, nemzetközi hajózás elleni támadásaira.
Joe Biden amerikai elnök szerdán visszahelyezte a jemeni húszi lázadókat az Egyesült Államok terrorszervezeteket felsoroló lajstromára.
Az Izrael és a Hamász palesztin terrorszervezet között dúló gázai háború kezdete óta a húszik Izraelhez köthető hajók ellen hajtanak végre támadásokat. Egyre súlyosabb a helyzet a Közel-Keleten, a húszik már rakétákkal lövik az Egyesült Államok hadseregének hadihajóit.
Időközben a britek is csapásokat mértek a húszikra, akik egyre több támadást indítanak a Vörös-tengeren, és annak környékén. Az Irán által támogatott húszik az USA hajóit is célba vették, ami miatt korábban Joe Biden amerikai elnök újabb támadást rendelt el ellenük. Legutóbb USS Laboonra lőttek ki egy cirkálórakétát, amit az USA egyik harci repülőgépe semmisített meg, így nem történt anyagi kár, és személyi sérülés sem tudni.
Az Amerikai Központi Parancsnokság beszámolója szerint a rakétát Hodeida partjainak közelében lőtték le amerikai harci repülőgép. A húszik továbbra sem ismerték el a legutóbbi incidenst, akik több olyan teherhajó ellen is támadást indítottak, amik a csoport szerint Izraelhez köthetőek, ezzel is kifejezve támogatásukat a Gázában lévő palesztinok felé, akik több mint 100 napja vannak tűz alatt Izrael és a Hamász háborúja miatt.
Azóta, hogy novemberben a húszik elfoglalták az izraeli kötődésű Galax Leader névre keresztelt hajót, legkevesebb 26 hajtót támadtak meg. Ezek a támadások végül arra kényszerítették a világ néhány óriási hajózási vállalatát, hogy hajóikat az Afrika déli csücskénél lévő Jóreménység-fok körül vezényeljék át, ami viszont komoly zavarokat okozott a globális kereskedelemben.
Az Al Jazeera azt írja, a Vörös-tengeren átmenő forgalom normál esetben naponta 3-9 milliárd dollár értékű árut mozgat meg, de a támadások miatt ez több mint 40 százalékkal esett vissza, amivel jelentős károkat szenvednek el a beszállítók.

A beszámolók szerint rakéta csapódott be az Áden kikötővárostól 70 kilométernyire északra fekvő el-Anád légibázis gyakorlóterén, miközben a katonák reggeli gyakorlatukat végezték. Egyes hírek szerint nemcsak egy vagy több rakéta, hanem robbanószerrel megrakott drónok is becsapódtak a támaszpont területén.
A támadást egyértelműen a síita húszi lázadók számlájára írják. A húszik, akik régóta harcban állnak a jemeni kormány oldalán harcoló, szaúdi vezetésű nemzetközi koalícióval, korábban is támadták már ezt a légibázist.
Előzmények
A szaúdiak vezette katonai koalíció 2015-ben avatkozott be a jemeni polgárháborúba, és a kormány oldalán harcol a húszi lázadók ellen, akik rendszeresen indítanak rakéta- és dróntámadásokat a jemeni hadsereg állásai és szaúdi célpontok ellen azóta, hogy 2014 szeptemberében elfoglalták a jemeni fővárost, Szanaát.

A Szaúd-Arábia déli részén található Dzsizanban a jemeni síita lázadók drónokkal és rakétákkal megtámadtak egy nagy olajlétesítményt – jelentette a húszik egyik katonai szóvivője hétfőn.
A húszik ellen harcoló, Szaúd-Arábia vezette arab koalíció korábban közölte, hogy megsemmisített négy rakétát és hat robbanó drónt, amelyeket a lázadók lőttek ki. Rijád nem számolt be arról, hogy találat ért-e bármilyen létesítményt.
Az Aramco szaúdi olajvállalat egy napi 400 ezer hordó termelőkapacitású üzemet működtet a Vörös-tenger partján fekvő Dzsizanban, amely a jemeni határtól 60 kilométerre található.
Jahja Szarea húszi katonai szóvivő elmondta, hogyszaúdi katonai létesítményeket és rakétavédelmi rendszereket vettek célba Hamisz Musaitban, illetve egyéb katonai célpontokat támadtak Abha, Dzsizan és Nadzsran területén. Szarea hozzátette, hogy a dzsizani ipari övezetben található olajlétesítményt is célba vették. Az összes említett település Szaúd-Arábia délnyugati részén található, közel a jemeni határhoz.
A húszik szócsövének számító al-Maszíra tévécsatorna szerint az arab koalíció több,a lázadók felügyelete alatt álló terület ellen hajtott végre légicsapást hétfőn.
A húszik fokozták támadásaikat azóta, hogy május végén lejárt a koronavírus-járvány miatt életbe léptetett tűzszünet. Június végén a lázadók rakétái elérték a szaúd-arábiai fővárost, Rijádot.
Jemenben 2014 augusztusa óta dúl polgárháború a kormányellenes síita húszik és a nemzetközileg elismert jemeni elnökhöz, a Rijádban tartózkodó Abed Rabbó Manszúr Hádihoz hű erők között. A lázadók ellen 2015 márciusában lépett hadba a kormánycsapatokat támogató arab koalíció Szaúd-Arábia vezetésével.
A jemeni polgárháborúban több mint százezren haltak meg, és milliók váltak földönfutóvá. Az országban a világ legsúlyosabb humanitárius válsága alakult ki.
