A Bloomberg számolt be róla, hogy a Tesla beperelte a Rivian nevű elektromos autókat gyártó vállalatot. A vádak szerint egykori Tesla dolgozók szigorúan bizalmas információkat, üzleti titkokat loptak el a cégtől ás adták át azokat a riválisnak.
A Tesla szerint a Rivian azért alkalmazott több korábbi Tesla dolgozót, mert azok bizalmas információkkal szolgáltak a cégről, ráadásul az elektromos autógyártó buzdította is a volt alkalmazottakat az információk átadására.
A Rivian jelenleg a legjobb anyagi helyzetben lévő elektromosautó-gyártó startup, az elmúlt másfél évben 5 milliárd dollárt gyűjtöttek a befektetőktől. A vállalat prémium kategóriás pickupja várhatóan 2021-ben mutatkozik majd be, tehát a Tesla Cybertruck megjelenésének évében.
A Rivian összesen 2400 alkalmazottat vett fel az utóbbi időben, közülük 178-an régebben dolgoztak a Teslánál, hetvenen pedig egyenesen a Teslától jelentkeztek munkára a konkurens cégnél.
