A rablók négy motorkerékpárral érkeztek és szabályosan megostromolták a pénzintézetet. Először a biztonsági őrökkel keveredtek heves tűzharcba, majd a riasztott rendőrökkel is – írja az MTI.
Az áldozatok többsége közülük került ki, hat támadót agyonlőttek a rendőrök. A lövöldözésben kereszttűzbe került és életét vesztette két banki ügyfél is. Rajtuk kívül egy rendőr, egy biztonsági őr, egy polgárőr esett el a tűzpárbajban.
A rablók közül többeknek sikerült kereket oldaniuk. A hatóságok a menekülők nyomában vannak. A balul elsült bankrablási kísérlet az afrikai ország középső részén, Kagara területén történt.

Drogkereskedőkön ütött rajta a brazil rendőrség pénteken egy riói favelában, és tűzpárbajban megölt tíz embert, köztük egy körözött drogbárót, a helyszínen megtalálták a drogbanda fegyverraktárát is.
A katonai rendészet egyik elitalakulata egy drogbáró után kutatott a Rio de Janeiro északi részén lévő Complexo de Alemao nevű szegénynegyedben, és az egyik háznál, amely a hatóságok információi szerint a drogkereskedők fegyverraktáraként szolgált, bűnözők tüzet nyitottak a kommandósokra, valamint kézigránátokat dobtak feléjük.
Ekkor tört ki a tűzpárbaj, amelyben meghalt többek között a keresett drogbáró, és egy rendőr is megsebesült. A rendőrök lőfegyvereket, 85 kézigránátot és kábítószert találtak a házban – olvasható a rendőrség közleményében.
A tűzpárbaj után öt sebesültet kórházba szállítottak, de ott mind életét vesztette. Öt ember holttestét pedig a favela lakói vitték ki a negyed bejáratához, és egymás mellett lefektették. Több tucatnyian összegyűltek ott ezután, és egy kisebb tüntetés alakult ki. Arra panaszkodtak az emberek, hogy a kormány vajmi kevéssel segíti a szegény közösségeket a koronavírus-járvány idején, miközben a rendőrségi akciók száma nem csökkent.
Név nélkül nyilatkozó tisztségviselők elmondták, hogy a megölt bandavezér 2016-ban megszökött a börtönből. Az év első három hónapjában a riói rendőrség akciói során 429 embert ölt meg, ami alig marad el a tavalyi adatoktól.
