Legalább három halálos áldozata és tíz sérültje van a kelet-üzbegisztáni Andizsán régió egyik mecsetjében hétfőn történt gázrobbanásnak – közölte a taskenti rendkívüli helyzetek minisztériuma.
A Telegramon közzétett tájékoztatás szerint a robbanás a mecset fürdőhelyiségében történt a ramadán muszlim böjti hónap végét jelentő ünnep, az íd al-fitr alatt. A tárca hozzátette, hogy vizsgálatot indítottak a robbanás körülményeinek kiderítésére.
„Március 31-én 12 óra 19 perckor léggázrobbanás történt az Andizsán régió Izboskan körzetében található Ahmadali Khoja nyilvános mecsetben” – közölte az UZ Daily Media a telegramon.
A helyszínre utazott Acsilbaj Ramatov üzbég kormányfőhelyettes, Botir Kudrathodzsajev, a rendkívüli helyzetek minisztere, valamint a régió vezetője is.

Az Üzbegisztáni Andizsán városi bíróság büntetőügyekben négy év két hónap szabadságvesztésre ítélte a 39 éves férfit, aki Oroszország oldalán harcolt Ukrajnában. Az ítéletet a gazeta.uz hozta nyilvánosságra, hivatkozva a bíróság döntésére.
A bírósági döntés szerint 2023 nyarán a vádlott Moszkvában írt alá szerződést az orosz hadsereggel, miközben szezonális munkát keresett. Az orosz hatóságok havonta 450 ezer rubelt (kb. 4950 dollárt) ígértek neki a háborúban való részvételért, de végül csak két alkalommal kapott 150 ezer rubelt, később a kifizetések megszűntek.
2023 júliusában a vádlottat a Donyeck megyei Szahtarszkba és Bahmutba küldték, ahol más külföldiekkel ismerkedett meg. A férfi a bíróság előtt elismerte, hogy Ukrajnában harcolt 2023 novemberéig, és ezen időszak alatt több mint 10 ukrán katonát ölt meg.
Decemberben visszatért Moszkvába, ahol elutasította a szerződés meghosszabbítását, majd feleségével és nővérével visszatért Üzbegisztánba. Önként jelentkezett a hatóságoknál, és benyújtotta az orosz hadseregben végzett szolgálatát igazoló összes dokumentumot.
A bíróság előtt a férfi megbánást tanúsított, és tetteit „nehéz anyagi helyzetével” indokolta. A bíróság bűnösnek találta őt zsoldosság és idegen hadseregben való szolgálat vádjában.
Az ítélet meghozatalakor a bíróság figyelembe vette a „könnyítő körülményeket”: a bűnösség teljes elismerését, a megbánást, a büntetlen előéletet, a családi állapotot és a három gyermek meglétét. A férfi számára jelenleg tilos elhagyni lakóhelyét, kivéve, ha munkavégzésre vagy tanulásra van szükség, illetve ha munkájába vagy tanulmányaihoz kapcsolódó utazásról van szó.

Egy üzbegisztáni állatkert munkatársa tragikus baleset áldozata lett, amikor egyedül próbálta visszaterelni a ketrecükből kiszabadult három oroszlánt. A férfi videót készített arról, ahogy belép a ketrecükbe, hogy később elküldhesse a barátnőjének, ám az oroszlánok rátámadtak, és halálosan megsebesítették – számolt be az Origo.
Az üzbegisztáni Parkentben található Lion Park állatkert egyik éjjeli műszakos dolgozója, a 44 éves F. Iriskulov három, a a kifutóban lévő oroszlánt akart visszazárni ketrecükbe.
Videót azért készített, hogy később a felvételt elküldhesse a barátnőjének. A férfi a saját halálát vette fel.
A videón látható, ahogy Iriskulov helyi idő szerint hajnali 5 órakor kinyitja a kifutó lakatját, majd belép. Az oroszlánok először mozdulatlanul figyelik ahogy a gondozó közeledik feléjük, majd hirtelen rárontanak. A gondozó többször is próbálta nyugalomra inteni a Simba névre keresztelt oroszlánt. A férfi folyamatosan ismételgette:
Nyugodj meg, nyugodj meg Simba.
A hatósági közlemény szerint az oroszlánok megtámadták, halálosan megsebesítették, és részben elfogyasztották Iriskulovot. A férfi maradványait kollégái csak néhány órával később találták meg. A támadás után két oroszlánt altatólövedékkel elkábítottak, míg a harmadikat lelőtték – írja a Daily Star.

Legkevesebb 19 gyerek halálát okozta Üzbegisztánban egy Indiából származó köptető, az üzbég államügyészség hamisított gyógyszerek forgalmazása miatt indított eljárást – közölte a Fergana üzbég hírügynökség csütörtökön.
Az üzbegisztáni titkosszolgálat egyik szóvivője elmondta, hogy az ügyben felelős gyanúsítottak előzetes letartóztatásban vannak. Az ügyészség közölte továbbá, hogy nemcsak a Dok-1 Max nevű köhögéscsillapító szirupot importáló cégnél indítottak vizsgálatot, de az üzbegisztáni gyógyszerszabványosításért felelős tudományos központban is.
A beszállító cégnél az üzbég egészségügyi minisztérium szerint eddig hét embert bocsátottak el és fegyelmi intézkedéseket vezettek be.
A gyógyszert előállító Marion Biotech indiai gyógyszercég sajnálatát fejezte ki a halálesetek kapcsán. A köptetőt azonnal kivonták a forgalomból, gyártását felfüggesztették.
Az indiai egészségügyi minisztérium közleményében leírta: a gyógyszergyártó cég felülvizsgálja a vállalat Uttar Prades indiai államban található létesítményét, emellett folyamatosan kapcsolatban állnak az üzbég hatóságokkal.
Az indiai külügyminisztérium szóvivője hangsúlyozta, hogy az ország gyógyszergyártó ipara „világszerte megbízható ellátást biztosít”, ezért nagyon komolyan veszik az ilyen és ehhez hasonló eseteket.
Vizsgálatok kimutatták, hogy a Dok-1 Max köptető a megengedettnél több etilénglikolt tartalmazott; a mérgező folyadék a fagyálló egyik legfontosabb összetevője. Szervezetbe jutva mérgezést okoz, nagyobb dózisban pedig halálos is lehet. Az üzbég egészségügyi minisztérium szerint a szülők a gyógyszert gyógyszerészeti ajánlásra vagy megelőző intézkedésként az ajánlottnál nagyobb adagban adták be gyermekeiknek.
Indiát sokszor nevezik „a világ gyógyszertárának”, de leginkább a szegényebb országokat látja el saját előállítású gyógyszereivel. Alig pár hónappal ezelőtt az indiai Maiden Pharmaceuticals cég volt kénytelen leállítani egy megfázáselleni és köhögéscsillapító szirup gyártását, miután a gyógyszert csaknem 70 gambiai gyerek halálával hozták összefüggésbe. Mindeddig a gambiai tragédia volt az indiai gyógyszeripar legnagyobb botránya, jóllehet mind az indiai hatóságok, mind a gyógyszercég tagadta bűnösségét.

A tüntetők és a biztonsági erők közötti összecsapásokban 18-an meghaltak, 243-an megsérültek és 94-en kerültek kórházba közölte Abror Mamatov, az üzbegisztáni főügyészség képviselője. A biztonsági erők 516 tüntetőt vettek őrizetbe, az autonómiában rendkívüli állapotot vezettek be.
1990. december 14-én az Üzbegisztánhoz tartozó Karakalpaksztán autonóm köztársaság parlamentje elfogadta az állami szuverenitásról szóló nyilatkozatot, amely az állam teljes függetlenségét helyezi kilátásba.
1993-ban Üzbegisztán kormánya 20 évre szóló államközi megállapodást írt alá Karakalpaksztánnal a Karakalpakisztáni Autonóm Köztársaság Üzbegisztánhoz való felvételéről. A megállapodás rögzíti az autonóm köztársaság jogát, miszerint népszavazás útján kiválhat Üzbegisztánból.
2013-ban a megállapodás érvényességi ideje lejárt, annak feltételeit nem teljesítették. Az „Alga, Karakalpaksztán” mozgalom tagjai Karakalpaksztán függetlenségéért küzdenek, sokan közülük külföldön élnek száműzetésben.

Június 4-én a Kirgizisztáni Állami Nemzetbiztonsági Bizottság az üzbég különleges szolgálatokkal együttműködve egy melléképület alatt a Kirgiz Köztársaságot és az Üzbég Köztársaságot összekötő alagutat fedezett fel. Ez a Kara-Suu régióban történt – közölte a knews az Állami Nemzetbiztonsági Bizottságra hivatkozva.
Az alagút mélysége 17,5 méter, az alagút bejárata 1,80 méter és szélessége pedig 70–80 cm. Ugyanakkor a kirgizisztáni bejárattól az üzbegisztáni kijáratig körülbelül 155 métert kell megtenni.
A hatóságok vizsgálatot indítottak az alagutat kialakító személyek azonosítását illetően. Ez már a második hasonló jellegű alagút, az elsőt május 20-án fedezték fel ugyanebben a régióban.

A tervezetthez képest kétszer annyi katonai eszközzel állomásoznak majd az orosz és üzbég katonák az afgán határnál.
A dél-üzbegisztáni Termez városa melletti támaszpontnál – a TASZSZ jelentése szerint – 1500 orosz és üzbég katonát mozgósítottak az öt napig tartó művelet keretében. Moszkva már korábban bejelentette, hogy – az eredetileg tervezett 1000 fős helyett – 1800 fős kontingenst küld a tádzsik határ mellé egy másik, orosz, üzbég és tádzsik csapatok részvételével csütörtökön kezdődő, jövő keddig tartó hadgyakorlatra. Az Interfax hírügynökség orosz kormányzati forrásokra hivatkozva azt közölte, hogy a műveletben összesen 2500 katona vesz részt.
A hadgyakorlatokon az orosz hadsereg 420 katonai eszközzel vesz részt, duplájával az eredetileg tervezettnek.
Az Afganisztánnal ugyancsak határos Tádzsikisztán július végén tartott hadgyakorlatot az afgán határnál, a műveletben több mint ezer katonai járművet, több száz ágyút és aknavetőt, valamint több tucat repülőgépet, köztük helikoptereket vetettek be. Emomali Rahmon tádzsik államfő ugyanekkor éberségre szólított fel a határtól délre, Afganisztánban folyó harcok miatt.
Szintén júliusban afgán katonák százai lépték át a tádzsik határt, amikor visszavonultak egy tálib offenzíva elől. Dusanbe hazaküldte őket, miután a kabuli kormány különleges légi járatokat szervezett hazaszállításukra.
Szergej Sojgu orosz védelmi miniszter szerdán, tádzsikisztáni látogatása során aggodalmának adott hangot az afgán biztonsági helyzet romlása miatt. Közlése szerint az Iszlám Állam dzsihadista szervezet harcosai érkeznek Afganisztánba Szíriából, Líbiából és több más országból.
Az amerikai csapatkivonást „elhamarkodottnak” minősítő orosz tárcavezető elmondta, hogy Moszkva kiképzésben részesít tádzsik katonákat a Tádzsikisztánban működő orosz támaszponton és a hozzá köthető létesítményekben. Fokozott figyelmet fordítunk arra, hogy megerősítsük támaszpontunk harci képességeit, és tervet dolgozzunk ki arra, hogy együtt lépjünk fel abban az esetben, ha egy-egy felkelő netán beszivárogna – mondta.
A kabuli kormány ellen harcoló tálibok egyik szóvivője július végén azt állította, hogy a radikálisok a Tádzsikisztánnal, Üzbegisztánnal, Türkmenisztánnal és Iránnal közös afgán határoknak körülbelül 90 százalékát vonták eddig az irányításuk alá.
Jóllehet a bejelentést más források nem erősítették meg, a tálibok jelentős előrenyomulást hajtottak végre az amerikai csapatkivonás kezdete óta, a létfontosságú amerikai támogatástól megfosztott afgán kormányerők pedig csak csekély ellenállást tanúsítottak.

Üzbegisztánban büntetőeljárás indult egy orvossal szemben, aki legalább 34 páciensét megfertőzte koronavírussal – közölte a szamarkandi kerületi ügyészség.
A vádhatóság szerint a szamarkandi kórház egyik osztályvezetője, bár észrevette magán a koronavírus-fertőzés tüneteit, úgy döntött, kigyógyítja magát, és továbbra is fogadott betegeket.
Az orvos által megfertőzött személyeket jelenleg a megyei járványkórházban kezelik, írja az MTI.
„Az egészségügyi dolgozóval szemben büntetőeljárás indult az Üzbég Köztársaság büntető törvénykönyve egészségügyi törvényeinek, illetve a járvány elleni küzdelemre vonatkozó előírásainak megszegésére vonatkozó cikkelyének értelmében” – közölte az ügyészség. Alapesetben háromtól öt évig, halálos kimenetel esetében viszont nyolctól tíz évig terjedő börtönt is kaphat, aki az orvoshoz hasonlóan megszegi a járvány elleni küzdelem szabályait az országban.
Április 25-től az üzbég válságstáb a járvány megfékezését szolgáló korlátozások enyhítéséről döntött: megnyithattak a fővárosi piacok, mosodák, bankfiókok és autószervizek. Emellett ismét engedélyezték a mezőgazdasági termelők ki- és beutazását Taskentbe. Szerdától a megnövekedett esetszám miatt azonban ismét szigorítottak a járványügyi intézkedéseken Szamarkandban.
A 32 millió lakosú Üzbegisztánban eddig 2568 fertőzöttet azonosítottak, akik közül 11-en haltak meg a vírus miatt.
