Az elmúlt napok esőzései nyomán csaknem az egész Romániában áradnak a folyók. A Bánságban a legsúlyosabb a helyzet, ahol pénteken töltéseket, gátakat szakított át a Temes.
Az Országos Vízügyi és Vízgazdálkodási Intézet (INHGA) pénteken csaknem valamennyi erdélyi folyóra másodfokú (narancssárga) figyelmeztetést bocsátott ki, mely vasárnap délutánig érvényes. Bánságban, a Bisztra és a Temes folyókon a figyelmeztetés harmadfokú (vörös jelzésű).
Pénteken a Temes vízszintje a 2005-ben jegyzett történelmi csúcs fölé emelkedett, és Lugos város alatt meghaladta a baloldali árvízvédelmi gát töltéskoronájának szintjét. A töltés fölött a mezőre ömlő víz három óra alatt elmosta a gátat, mely két helyen is átszakadt.
Pénteken délután Marcel Vela belügyminiszter is a helyszínen tájékozódott a helyzetről. Közölte, hogy a gátszakadás nem sodort veszélybe településeket, csupán mezőgazdasági területeket árasztott el a víz. A tárcavezető a helyi vízügyi vezetőket tette felelőssé a történtek miatt, akik, szerinte nem végezték el az elmúlt években a szükséges árvízévdelmi munkálatokat. Marcel Vela azt is megemlítette, hogy csütörtökön a Krassó-Szörény megyei Nándorhegy (Otelul Rosu) közelében helikopterrel kellett húsz személyt kimenteni a Bisztra folyó által elárasztott területről.
A katasztrófavédelmi főfelügyelőség péntek reggeli jelentése szerint az ország 16 megyéje 58 településén okoztak károkat az árvizek. A tűzoltóknak 73 pincéből, 25 házból, 346 udvarról kellett kiszivattyúzniuk a vizet.
Az országos meteorológiai szolgálat pénteken is másodfokú (narancs színű) figyelmeztetést bocsátott ki csaknem az egész ország területére. A figyelmeztetés szerint szombat hajnalig további heves esőzések várhatók, melyek során négyzetméterenként 40 liter, de helyenként akár 60-80 liter csapadék is várható.

A négyéves kisfiút akkor sodorta el a megáradt patak Romániában, amikor a családja át akart kelni rajta az autójukkal. A holttestét vasárnap reggel találták meg – írja a Maszol.
Szombaton hatalmas esőzés volt a Bihar megyei Felsőmezősnél (Câmpani), ezért az egyik patak megáradt. Egy négyfős család kocsival akart rajta áthajtani, de elsodorta őket a víz. Az apa kiszállt az autóból és a partra vitte a 4 éves fiát, majd visszament a feleségéért és a másik gyerekéért. Amíg távol volt, a patak elsodorta a partra vitt fiút.
A hatóságok és a helybeliek egész este keresték a fiút, majd vasárnap reggel, több kilométerrel arrébb, Mocsest községnél találták meg a holttestét.

Kenyában a vírus okozta Covid-19 betegségnek eddig 24 halálos áldozata van.
A kenyai egészségügyi minisztérium az élelmiszersegély és ivóvíz mellett szájmaszkokat is küldött az árvízkárosultaknak.
Az áradások mintegy 3000 hektár rizsföldet is tönkretettek, és kár keletkezett a vízellátásért felelős infrastruktúrában is. Több város, egyebek közt Nairobi lakosait arra kérték, bánjanak takarékosan a vízzel.

Több mint 1800 család maradt fedél nélkül Kenya nyugati részén, miután a heves esőzések hatására a környék legnagyobb folyója kilépett medréből és több települést elöntött. A helyiek értékeiket hátrahagyva, csónakkal menekültek a környékről.
A magasabban fekvő területeken az átázott talaj megcsúszott, és sok helyen földcsuszamlásokat okozott. Kenya 47 megyéjéből 29-et sújtott áradás.
Az elmúlt napokban több mint százan vesztették életüket.
Az áradás csak tetézi a koronavírus-járvány sújtotta kelet-afrikai ország bajait. Habár egyelőre viszonylag alacsony a fertőzöttek és az áldozatok száma, a kenyai hatóságok a járvány gyors berobbanásától tartanak.
Tömeges tesztelésbe kezdett ezért az egészségügyi hatóság a főváros, Nairobi legsűrűbben lakott nyomornegyedeiben. Itt ugyanis lehetetlen eleget tenni a távolságtartásra vonatkozó előírásoknak. Az egyetlen megoldás a fertőzöttek minél gyorsabb kiszűrése és elkülönítése lehet.
„Nagyon örülök, hogy negatív lett a tesztem. Így a családom is biztonságban van. És az igazolással a kezemben talán könnyebben találok újra munkát” – mondta az egyik teszten átesett nő.
Azokat, akiknek a gyorstesztje pozitív lett, Nairobi központi kórházába szállítják, ahol már most 400 beteget kezelnek,
jobbára enyhébb tünetekkel. A kenyai egészségügyi minisztérium szerint ugyanakkor az egészségügyi ellátórendszer nincs felkészülve arra, hogy tömegével kezelje a súlyos eseteket.

Kisebb árhullám vonul le a Tisza magyarországi szakaszán, és az árral egyre több kommunális hulladék érkezik Ukrajnából – közölte a magyar Országos Vízügyi Főigazgatóság (OVF) pénteken az MTI-vel. A hulladékot géplánccal távolítják el.

A Felső-Tisza vízgyűjtőjére az elmúlt 24 órában lehullott csapadék hatására a Tisza magyarországi szakaszán kisebb árhullám vonul le. Az áradással egy időben, csütörtök délután a Felső-Tisza-vidéki Vízügyi Igazgatóság figyelőszolgálata a telepített kamerarendszer alapján jelezte, hogy ukrán területről percenként mintegy húsz kommunális hulladék érkezik a folyón.

Hozzátették: a magyar Országos Meteorológiai Szolgálat előrejelzése szerint a következő 24 órában a Felső-Tisza vízgyűjtőjén 6 milliméter csapadék várható, amely további vízszintemelkedést okoz, és az áradással várhatóan további flakon és uszadék érkezik.
A Felső-Tisza-vidéki Vízügyi Igazgatóság vezetője a hulladék eltávolítása érdekében csütörtök 14 órától harmadfokú vízminőségi kárelhárítási készültséget rendelt el, ennek során géplánccal távolítják el a folyón érkező PET-palackokat és egyéb kommunális hulladékot.

Az OVF tájékoztatása szerint pénteken elkezdődik az erdőtakarítás Tiszaszalkánál, és így a magyar Tisza egyik legszennyezettebb, Natura 2000-es ártéri erdeje tisztul meg hétvégén a hulladéktól. Mint írták, most először, a magyar vízügyesek meghívására, több mint ötven ukrán vízügyi szakember is részt vesz az akcióban, amelyben a vízügyi szakemberek mellett PET Kupások és civilek vesznek részt.
Az Országos Vízügyi Főigazgatóság a kármentesítéshez szükséges teljes infrastruktúrával, a vízügy szakértőivel és önkénteseivel segíti a munkát.
