Életfogytig tartó szabadságvesztésre ítélték kedden egy öt halálos áldozatot követelő németországi autós ámokfutás elkövetőjét.
Az ötrendbeli emberölés és tizennégy rendbeli súlyos testi sértés miatt elítélt férfi 2020. december 1-jén Trierben városi terepjárójával nagy sebességgel behajtott egy sétálóutcába, halálra gázolva öt embert – köztük egy kilenchetes csecsemőt és édesapját – és megsebesítve 18 másikat.
A Rajna-vidék-Pfalz tartományi városban született 52 éves német férfi ügyében nem tártak fel terrorizmusra vagy vallási indítékra utaló adatokat.
A trieri tartományi bíróság bizonyítottnak találta, hogy a vádlott szándékosan hajtott a tömegbe, és az volt a célja, hogy minél több emberben kárt tegyen.
Ezért különösen súlyosnak minősítették bűncselekményeit. Ez a minősítés azzal jár, hogy az elítélt nem kerülhet feltételesen szabadlábra a büntetés első 15 évének letöltése után.
A bíróság azt is elrendelte, hogy életfogytig vonják be a jogosítványát, és zárt pszichiátriai intézetben helyezzék el.
A perben szakértők kimutatták, hogy paranoid skizofréniában szenved és közveszélyes, az a rögeszméje, hogy egy nagyszabású összeesküvés áldozata.
Védői a szakvéleményre hivatkozva a vádlott korlátozott büntethetőségének megállapítását kérték, és azt indítványozták, hogy legfeljebb 15 év szabadságvesztésre ítéljék, és rendeljék el pszichiátriai kezelését.
Az ítélet nem jogerős. A Südwestrundfunk (SWR) regionális közszolgálati médiatársaság jelentése szerint a védelem még nem döntötte el, hogy fellebbezzen-e.

A feltételezett elkövetővel a rendőrök végeztek. A hatóságok a nap folyamán figyelmeztetést adtak ki Langley városában fedél nélküli emberek sérelmére elkövetett lövöldözések miatt, illetve felszólították a lakosokat, hogy kerüljenek bizonyos helyeket, így a többi között egy kaszinó parkolóját és egy buszmegállót.
Ghalib Bhayani, a regionális rendőrség vezetője szerint aktív nyomozást folytatnak a Vancouver elővárosában történt lövöldözések ügyében, amelyeknek két halálos áldozatuk, illetve egy kritikus állapotban lévő és egy komoly sebeket kapott sérültjük is volt.
„Jelen pillanatban még nem tudjuk a halálos incidens indokát, illetve azt sem, hogy volt-e valamilyen kapcsolat az gyanúsított és az áldozatai között” – mondta Bhayani.
Kanadában jóval ritkábbnak számítanak a lövöldözések déli szomszédjához, az Egyesült Államokhoz képest, részben a szigorúbb fegyvertartási törvényei miatt. Kanadában a helyi statisztikai hivatal szerint a lőfegyverrel elkövetett gyilkosságok száma alig ötöde az Egyesült Államokban mértnek, ugyanakkor magasabb a tehetős államok átlagánál és növekvő tendenciát mutat.

„A férfit elfogták, a rendelkezésre álló információink szerint egyedül cselekedett” – ismertette Öyvind Aas rendőrfőnök. „Többen életüket vesztették, illetve megsebesültek” – tette hozzá, de nem említette az áldozatok pontos számát.
A rendőrség egyelőre nem közölt semmilyen információt az elkövető személyéről, sem lehetséges indítékáról. Nem lehet tudni egyelőre, hogy terrortámadás történt-e. Az elkövető az Oslótól mintegy 80 kilométerre, délre található Kongsberg belvárosában követte el a vérengzést.
Aas szerint jelenleg még folyik az információk kiértékelése és a különböző helyeken a bűnügyi helyszínelés. Úgy fogalmazott, hogy még zavaros a helyzet. „Sok szemtanúnk van még, akikkel beszélnünk kell” – tette hozzá.
Norvég sajtójelentések szerint a rendőrség nagy erőkkel vonult ki Kongsberg belvárosában, amely felett rendőrségi helikopterek köröztek. Úgy tudni, tűzszerészeket is mozgósítottak.
A norvég közszolgálati rádió tájékoztatása szerint az első lakossági bejelentések 18.13-kor futottak be a rendőrséghez, miszerint egy íjjal és nyilakkal felfegyverzett férfit láttak a városközpontban.
A BBC információi szerint a gyanúsított a jelentések szerint az egész városban mozgott, és a hatóságok több nagy területet lezártak. Médiajelentések szerint a támadó egy szupermarketben kezdte az ámokfutást.
A jelentések szerint több tucatnyi mentőautó van a helyszínen.
A skandináv ország második világháború utáni történetének legsúlyosabb merényletét közel tíz éve követték el. A szélsőjobboldali nézeteket valló Anders Behring Breivik 2011. július 22-én pokolgépet robbantott Oslo kormányzati negyedében, majd a közeli Utoya szigetén a kormányzó párt ifjúsági szekciójának táborában kezdett féktelen lövöldözésbe. Az akkori támadásban hetvenheten vesztették életüket.

A lövöldözés helyi idő szerint csütörtök éjszaka kezdődött. A jelentések szerint egy túszul ejtett nő helyi idő szerint vasárnap reggelre halt bele a sérüléseibe, vele nőtt a halálos áldozatok száma ötre.
A sérültek között legalább két, más források szerint három állapota kritikus.
Az evanstoni rendőrök bátor fellépése nélkül, sokkal többen megsebesülhettek volna- mondta David Brown chicagói rendőrfőnök.
A lövöldöző a 32 éves Jason Nightengale volt. A hatóságok szerint Chicagóban megölt három embert, illetve többeket megsebesített, majd a várostól északra fekvő Evanstonba utazott, ahol egy étteremben megölt egy nőt, és többeket megsebesített mielőtt még ő is meghalt a rendőrökkel vívott lövöldözésben.
A férfinak már többször volt dolga a rendőrséggel. Öt alkalommal családon belüli erőszakkal vádolták, de sosem ítélték el. Egyszer pedig jogtalan egyenruha viselés miatt tartóztatták le.
A rendőrök a helyszínen megtalálták a férfi fegyverét is.

FORRÁS: MTI/AP/CHICAGÓI RENDŐRSÉG/- A hatóságok szerint a lövöldözés a chicagói Hyde Parknál kezdődött, ahol Jason Nightengale fejbelőtt egy 30 éves férfit. Ezután a nem messze lévő Kenwood negyedbe ment, ahol megölte egy bérház biztonsági őrét. Majd egy 77 éves nőre is rálőtt, aki éppen a postaládáját akarta megnézni. A hírek szerint a nő kritikus állapotban van.
A férfi ekkor meglátogatott valakit egy bérház 19. emeletén, megfenyegette ezt az embert, majd ellopta az autóját. Ezután egy kisboltba ment, innen elrabolt egy 20 éves férfit, akit később szintén megölt.
Eközben egy 81 éves embert is meglőtt, aki életveszélyes állapotban van.
A férfi ezután Evanstonba hajtott. A helyi rendőrséget értesítették, hogy egy fegyveres van az egyik gyógyszertárban. Mire a rendőrség oda érkezett a fegyveres egy közeli étterembe menekült, itt túszul ejtett egy nőt, akit meglőtt. A nő később a kórházban belehalt sérüléseibe.
A rendőrök Jason Nightengale-t végül egy áruház parkolójában lőtték le.

A magát a helyi Ku Klux Klán vezetőjeként hirdető Harry Rogers egy richmondi Black Lives Matter tüntetőcsoportba hajtott autójával.
A Ku Klux Klán egy ma is létező rasszista csoport, ők azok, akik régebben rendszeresen, most ritkábban fehér, csúcsos csuklyát húznak a fejükre (hogy ne lehessen őket felismerni) és úgy bántalmaznak és ölnek bárkit, akinek a bőrszíne nem fehér.
A mostani támadásban nem halt meg senki, sőt, súlyos sérülés sem történt, csak egy valaki igényelt egészségügyi ellátást a tüntetésen, pedig több ezren vettek részt. Ez a demonstráció is a feketéket érő rendőri brutalitás ellen zajlott, mint oly sok másik is az Egyesült Államokban, amióta májusban meghalt George Floyd, amikor letartóztatása közben percekig térdelt a nyakán egy minnesotai rendőr.
A Guardian a richmondi WTVR helyi tévécsatorna híre alapján számol be arról, hogy Rogers belehajtott a tömegbe, és a helyi ügyész szerint a hatóságok vizsgálják, hogy ezzel megvalósult-e a gyűlöletbűncselekmény bűntette.
A Guardian azt írja, Rogers 2016-ban egyszemélyes tiltakozást szervezett Ku Klux Klan ruhában, továbbá részt vett a 2017-es Charlottesville-i Unite the Right neonáci demonstráción, ahol az ellentüntető antifasiszta csoport közé autó hajtott, és egy ember, a 32 éves Heather Heyer pedig meghalt.

Seattle-ben a George Floyd halálát okozó rendőri túlkapás miatt és a rasszizmus ellen tartott tüntetésen a tiltakozók közé hajtott egy férfi autójával – közölte a CNN a helyi rendőrség beszámolójára hivatkozva. Az autó fennakadt egy akadályon, az onnan kikászálódó sofőr egy tüntetőre tüzet nyitott azért, mert az megpróbálta lefegyverezni.
A férfi a karján sérült meg és azonnal kórházba szállították, eközben a fegyveres ámokfutót a rendőrök őrizetbe vették.
Az esetről több videofelvétel is kering a közösségi médiában, ezen például az látszik, ahogyan az ámokfutó kiszáll az autójából, fegyvert ránt és a tömegben próbál elvegyülni:
A támadó 27 éves áldozata, akit stabil állapotban vittek kórházba, útközben egy riporternek azt mondta, hogy a többi tiltakozó védelmében próbálta lefegyverezni a tüntetők közé vegyülve szökni próbáló ámokfutót.

A múlt hét végén a kanadai ámokfutó a barátnője miatt öldökölt: miután összeveszett a párjával, gyilkolni indult. A nő ugyanakkor túlélte a 22 ember halálával végződő tragédiát – közölte a kanadai rendőrség pénteken.
A nő elbújt a közeli erdőben az 51 éves Gabriel Wortman elől szombaton éjjel, és csak vasárnap reggel merészkedett elő. Akkor telefontált a rendőrségnek, pontos leírást adva Wortmanről, és felfedve azt is, hogy a férfi álrendőrautóval és rendőrnek öltözve hajtott el.
Wortman több helyszínen gyilkolt a délkelet-kanadai Új-Skócia tartományban csaknem 13 órán át. Szombaton éjfél előtt másfél órával kezdte Portapique városkában, 130 kilométerre északra Halifaxtól, majd Truro, Milford és Enfield településeken folytatta a vérengzést, ráadásul több házat felgyújtott. Wortmant végül egy benzinkútnál lőtte agyon egy éppen tankoló rendőr vasárnap, nem sokkal dél előtt.
Az ámokfutó 22 áldozata közül a legfiatalabb egy 17 éves lány, a többiek felnőtt nők és férfiak.
Egy férfi – John Hudson –, aki 18 éve ismerte az ámokfutót, a rendőrségnek elmondta, hogy a sorozatgyilkos betegesen féltékeny volt barátnőjére, akivel hosszú ideje együtt élt. „Sohasem láttam, hogy megütötte, de tudom, hogy veszekedtek” – mondta Hudson. Az utóbbi évtizedek legszörnyűbb kanadai sorozatgyilkosa fogtechnikusként dolgozott, és büntetlen előéletű volt.
