A China Eastern Airlines gépe a hivatalos tájékoztatás szerint balesetet szenvedett, és tüzet okozott a hegyekben Guangxiban.
A Sky a kínai állami televízióra hivatkozva arról számolt be, hogy a China Eastern Airlines 133 utast szállító repülőgépe balesetet szenvedett, ami miatt tűz ütött ki a hegyekben Guangxiban. A gép épp Kunmingból Kuangcsou-ba tartott, amikor baleset érte.
A hatéves Boeing 737-es fedélzetén tartózkodott 133 utas állapotáról egyelőre nincs információ. A CCTV azt mondta, a baleset Wuzhou közelében történt, Teng megyében. Az áldozatok száma jelenleg nem ismert, a mentőcsapatok már úton vannak a helyszínre.

„A részvényesek a bírósághoz fordultak, amiért a Boeing vezetősége nem tett eleget a repülésbiztonsági követelményeknek, nagy károkat okozva ezzel a vállalatnak és a részvényeseknek” – tette hozzá a bíró.
2018-ban Indonéziában, 2019-ben pedig Etiópiában zuhant le egy 737 Max repülőgép. A szerencsétlenségek 346 emberéletet követeltek.
A vizsgálatok megállapították, hogy MCAS néven ismert automatizált repülésirányító rendszer hibája okozta a tragédiákat.
Idén januárban a Boeing 2,5 milliárd dollárt fizetett az ellene felhozott büntetőjogi vádak elsimítása érdekében. A vád szerint a cég eltitkolta a MCAS rendszer hibáját a biztonsági személyzet előtt, amelyek hozzájárultak a balesetekhez.
Úgy tűnik, hogy ezzel nem úszták meg, a repülőgyártó óriáscégnek a részvényesek által indított keresetek mellett a elhunytak családjai által indított polgári perekkel is szembe kell néznie.
„Átgondoljuk a következő lépést” – reagált szűkszavúan a Boeing.
A balesetek miatti jogi incidensek, a visszamondott rendelések, illetve az egyék költségek már mintegy 20 milliárd dollárjába kerültek a Boeingnek.
