Az ungvári rendőrkapitányság nyomozást indított egy halálos kimenetelű baleset ügyében, mely Csapon történt a napokban. Az ittas sofőrt letartóztatták.
Csap városában egy Chery típusú gépkocsi elütött egy gyalogost.
A bejelentést követően azonnal a helyszínre érkezett a nyomozó csoport. A rendőrök elvégezték az elsődleges intézkedéseket, és kiderült, hogy az autó vezetője egy 35 éves helyi lakos volt. Ő elütötte a 41 éves gyalogost, aki az úttesten haladt. Az elszenvedett sérülések következtében az áldozat a helyszínen életét vesztette. A férfi vérében 1 promille alkoholszintet mutattak ki, mely az ötszöröse a megengedettnek.
Az ügyben folyik a nyomozás, a tettesre akár 5 év börtönbüntetés is várhat.

Utóbbi a vontatókötelet a BMW-re és a Mazda típusú személygépkocsijára csatlakoztatta, így az érintettek megpróbálták elvontatni és elrejteni az eltulajdonított járművet.

Vasárnap este egy csapi lakos telefonált a rendőrségre, és azt jelentette, hogy egy férfit látott gránáttal a kezében a vasútállomás közelében. A járőrök és a nyomozócsoport azonnal reagáltak a bejelentésre és elindultak a helyszínre.
A bejelentő által megjelölt helyre kiérkezve a rendfenntartók egy gyanúsan viselkedő férfit láttak. A vele folytatott beszélgetés során a rendőrök megállapították a férfi személyazonosságát. Kiderült, hogy egy 23 éves helyi lakos, aki ittas, láthatóan idegesen viselkedett, és próbálta elrejteni a táskáját.
Később kiderült, hogy a férfi egy F‒1-es gránát tokját, a hozzá való biztosítékot, valamint az automata fegyverekhez való 5,45 mm-es töltényeket rejtegette.
A rendőrök a lőszert lefoglalták, és a gyanúsított lakóhelyén is házkutatást tartottak. Ott még csaknem száz töltényt, egy TNT-gránátot és egy bajonettkést ftaláltak és foglaltak le. Minden tárgyi bizonyítékot szakértői vizsgálatra küldenek.
A fiatalt őrizetbe vették és ideiglenes fogdába helyezték. Fegyverek és lőszerek illegális kezelésével vádolják, akár 7 év börtönt is kaphat. Az ügyben tart a nyomozás.
