Чоловік, який кермував вантажівкою, в’їхав у церкву в містечку Брунн-ам-Гебірге в районі Медлінг у Нижній Австрії, повідомив речник поліції Йоганн Баумшлагер.
Це був 32-річний громадянин Румунії, який діяв умисно, тож не виключається релігійний мотив. За попередніми даними, ніхто не постраждав, але церква зазнала значних ушкоджень, існує загроза обвалу.
Як інформує видання Kronen Zeitung, чоловік в’їхав 12-тонною вантажівкою в церкву християн євангелістської віри – п’ятидесятників «ЕЛІМ».
Поліція затримала правопорушника. Не виключено, що він перебував під дією наркотиків чи алкоголю.
Громада п’ятидесятників «ЕЛІМ» була заснована в 1980-х роках румунськими політичними біженцями, ідеться на сайті церкви.

В ніч проти 20 серпня у селі Халявин на Чернігівщині невідомі підпалили церкву Святої Трійці, цей храм належить Українській православній церкві Московського патріархату.
Про це в коментарі Укрінформу розповіла староста села Алла Лісоває.
„Церква належить московському патріархату. Жодних погроз підпалу не надходило. Люди прокинулися й побачили пожежу близько другої години ночі. Поруч валялася каністра. Невідомі облили двері храму бензином і підпалили”, – сказала староста.
За її словами, перекриття храму залізобетонне, тому основні конструкції витримали. Однак громаді доведеться докласти чимало зусиль для відновлення храму.
Як стверджує староста села, жодних особливих цінностей в церкві не було, так само й не було погроз щодо підпалу храму. Все, що сталося, є повною несподіванкою для місцевих жителів.

Влада Кенії заборонила діяльність п’яти релігійних груп, які звинувачуються в смерті від голоду понад 400 вірян.
Відповідно до заяви уряду, лідер Міжнародної церкви Good News Пол Нтенге Маккензі казав своїм послідовникам, що вони зустрінуться з Ісусом, якщо будуть голодувати до смерті.
У квітні справжнім шоком стала новина про те, що в лісі поблизу міста Малінді на півночі країни знайшли тіла 98 членів церковної громади.
Маккензі був заарештований і постав перед судом за підозрою в тероризмі.
Ліцензію на діяльність секти анулювали 19 травня. Тим часом кількість знайдених у лісі тіл зросла до 425. Хоча багато жертв померли від голоду, результати розтину свідчать, що сотні людей були задушені або забиті до смерті.
Влада заборонила діяльність ще чотирьох невеликих церков, у тому числі молитовний центр і церкву «Нове життя», які очолював відомий телевізійний проповідник Езекіель Одеро, близький до Маккензі. Одеро був заарештований у квітні й звинувачений у масових убивствах, підбурюванні до самогубства, радикалізації своїх послідовників і відмиванні грошей.
Хоча пізніше розслідування показало, що діяльність двох сект була пов’язана, у травні Одеро звільнили під заставу, а Маккензі продовжили досудове ув’язнення ще на 47 днів.
Згідно з даними уряду Кенії, у країні 53-мільйонним населенням переважна частина людей є християнами. Водночас тут діють близько чотирьох тисяч «церков», лідери яких не мають богословської освіти. Діяльність таких сект часто полягає лише в експлуатації віруючих та зборі з них пожертв.
Уряди країни робили кілька спроб придушити діяльність сект, але часто зазнавали невдач, оскільки ці організації мають значну підтримку серед населення й наполягають на своїх конституційних правах, заснованих на відокремленні держави від церкви.

Католицька церква Іспанії виявила сотні можливих розбещувачів дітей за вісім десятиліть, пише Reuters.
Згідно з результатами її розслідування, cеред духовенства та нецерковного персоналу з 1940-х років знайшли 728 потенційних насильників та 927 жертв, передає LB.ua.
“Ми визнаємо заподіяну шкоду і хочемо допомогти всім постраждалим у їхньому зціленні”, − сказав представник Конференції іспанських єпископів Хосе Габріель Вера.
У 2021 році газета El Pais повідомила про більше ніж 1200 можливих випадків розбещення дітей Церквою − через роки після скандалів зі сексуальним насильством у США, Ірландії та Франції.
В Іспанії розпочалося кілька розслідувань, зокрема одне під керівництвом омбудсмена країни, а також власне внутрішнє розслідування Церкви.
“Ми хочемо знати, що пішло не так при відборі кандидатів у священики, що пішло не так під час їхнього навчання… що змусило людину, яка вирішила віддатися Богу, вчинити сексуальне насильство”, − зазначив Вера.
У звіті, в якому зібрані свідчення жертв і який не є доказом вини чи невинності, йдеться, що понад 99% ймовірних злочинців були чоловіками, а половина насильників − священнослужителями. Більшість зареєстрованих випадків сталася у 1960-1980-ті роки. За словами жертв, більшість із яких чоловіки, понад 63% аб’юзерів померли.
Минулого року Національна прокуратура Іспанії зазначила в листі до омбудсмена, що внутрішнє розслідування Церкви було “частковим” і “мало корисним”.

За словами Вайтгеда (це також видно й на відеозаписі), коли він побачив озброєних людей, то відразу ж кинувся на землю, побоюючись стрілянини і не думаючи, що це буде «просто» пограбування. Зловмисники попрямували до священника, забрали в нього годинник, ланцюжки, обручку та хрест. Унаслідок нападу ніхто не постраждав. Слідчі поки що не знайшли злочинців.
«Ви бачите, як діє диявол», – прокоментував Вайтгед інцидент і запропонував 50 тисяч доларів винагороди тому, хто допоможе розшукати нападників.

У Нігерії в південно-західному штаті Ондо поліції вдалося звільнити людей, які місяцями перебували в полоні. Правоохоронці вийшли на слід завдяки заяві матері, що шукала своїх зниклих дітей і підозрювала пастора церкви п’ятидесятників Whole Bible Believers Девіда Аніфовоше.
За даними поліції, поневолені очікували на повернення Христа, передає ВВС. Багато малолітніх (наймолодшій дитині 8 років) кинули школу, щоб стати свідками дива.
За даними слідства, помічник пастора церкви Джосія Пітер Асумоса переконав віруючих, що пришестя Христа відбудеться у квітні, а потім змінив дату й заявив, що ця подія станеться у вересні 2022 року.
Батько однієї поневоленої дитини розповів, що як не намагався побачитися з нею, його не пускали й він не міг звільнити її. До церкви віряни не дозволяли заходити нікому, повідомляє Sky News. Пастора та його помічника заарештували, наразі слідчі шукають докази, що людей утримували проти їхньої волі.
Коли на місце події прибули поліцейські, група віруючих відмовилася виходити з підвалу, ображала та сварила батьків, які переживали за дітей. Під час допитів віряни розповіли, що після недільної служби вони самі спустилися в підвал храму. За показами свідків, дехто перебував там з минулого серпня, хтось потрапив туди в січні.
Під час арешту пастори радили вірянам «залишатися на місці», щоб дочекатися приходу Христа, який, за їхніми словами, забере їх у рай.
Це не перший випадок у Нігерії, коли правоохоронцям доводиться втручатися в справи церкви і звільняти поневолених віруючих. У листопаді 2019 року виявили 15 чоловіків та жінок віком від 19 до 50 років, яких тримали прикутими в церкві в Лагосі. Деякі з них перебували там уже протягом п’яти років. До церкви цих людей привезли члени родини, щоб пастор допоміг їм подолати їхні душевні хвороби та психічні розлади.

У четвер, 30 жовтня, у католицьку церкву святого Антонія Падуанського в столиці Австрії ввірвалися 50 молодих чоловіків-мусульман і влаштували там погром, передає портал Origo.
Нападники вигукували гасло «Аллаху акбар», штовхали лавки та сповідальню. Повідомляється, що напад був записаний на відео. На кадрах видно, як поліція, згідно з правилами політкоректності, називає нападників молодими людьми південної зовнішності.
На момент прибуття правоохоронців, злочинці встигли втекти. За даними Управління захисту конституції Австрії, яке розслідує справу, це молоді люди турецького походження, котрі за кілька годин до нападу вчинили бійку на площі Реумана, займалися там хуліганством і кидали петарди. Наразі поліції вдалося встановити особи десяти членів групи нападників. Це радикально налаштовані ісламісти, які неодноразово привертали до себе увагу, бо місяцями тероризують людей навколо віденського району Фаворитена.
Австрійські ЗМІ досить неохоче та коротко поінформували про напад на церкву.
Як повідомляв наш портал, 29 жовтня стався жорстокий теракт у соборі Ніцци у Франції. З криком «Аллах акбар!» нападнику вдалося вбити трьох людей, обезголовити одну жінку та поранити ще кількох цивільних. Як виявилося пізніше, злочинець відрубав голову жінці, щоб таким чином відсвяткувати день народження пророка Мухаммеда.
