A kiadott tájékoztatás szerint a repülőgép az amerikai hadsereggel kötött szerződés keretében a Fülöp-szigetek számára végzett hírszerzési és megfigyelési feladatokat.

Az INDOPACOM szerint a repülés a Fülöp-szigetek és az Egyesült Államok között fennálló biztonsági együttműködési szerződés keretében végzett rutinfeladat volt.
A Fülöp-szigeteki polgári légi közlekedési hatóság pénteken kiadott külön közleménye szerint a Beechcraft King Air 300-as gép a Fülöp-szigetek középső részén található Cebuból indult, Cotabato városba tartott, és Ampatuan városnál zuhant le.

A Fülöp-szigetek középső részén található Kanlaon vulkán idén másodszor tört ki, és sürgős evakuálást rendeltek el a térségben, miután hatalmas hamuoszlopot lövellt az égbe. A kitörés mintegy 54 ezer ember érint, a környéken megkezdődött a lakosság kitelepítése.
Négyezer méteres magasságba lövellt ki magából hamufelhőt a Fülöp-szigetek középső részén, Negros Occidental és Negros Oriental tartományokban található aktív vulkán, a Kanlaon-hegy, helyi idő szerint délután 3 óra körül – írja a Reuters.
A helyi szeizmológiai intézet hármas szintűre emelte a riasztást a maximálisan adható 5-ből, ami azt jelenti, hogy megnövekedett annak a kockázata, hogy lávafolyások alakuljanak ki, heteken belül pedig bekövetkezhet egy veszélyesebb kitörés.

Mint ismert, a Kanlaon vulkán egyike a mintegy két tucat aktív vulkánnak a Fülöp-szigeteken, amely az úgynevezett tűzgyűrűn helyezkedik el. Ezen a területen gyakoriak a vulkánkitörések és a földrengések. A helyi katasztrófavédelmi erők közlése szerint a térségben már megkezdték az evakuálást, nem messze a vulkántól már hamu is hullott az égből, a közösségi médiában több videót is megosztottak erről.
A kitörés mintegy 54 ezer ember érint, azt azonban a hatóságok nem közölték, hogy eddig hány embert evakuáltak.

Legkevesebb hét ember, köztük két gyerek meghalt a Fülöp-szigetek északi részén pusztító Man-yi szupertájfun miatt – közölték hétfőn a hatóságok.
A halálos áldozatok mindegyike egy házban tartózkodott, amikor egy földcsuszamlás következtében sárlavina temette be őket a Nueva Vizcaya tartományban fekvő Ambaguio településen. A hadsereg katonái és a rendőrök a falubeliek segítségével még három lakost keresnek – közölte a tartomány rendőrsége.
A katasztrófavédelem jelentése szerint még vizsgálják, hogy két haláleset, amely egy motorbaleset, illetve áramütés miatt következett be, összefügg-e a tájfunnal.
Nueva Ecija tartomány északi részén még keresnek egy házaspárt és gyermeküket, akiknek kunyhóját elsodorta az ár.
A Fülöp-szigeteki Catanduanes tartományban vasárnapra virradóra partot érő tájfun falvakat árasztott el, lakóházakat pusztított el és rongált meg, majd hétfőn elhagyta a délkelet-ázsiai szigetországot.
Óránkénti 195 kilométeres szélsebességével az özönvízszerű esőzéseket, áradásokat és földcsuszamlásokat okozó, potenciálisan katasztrofálisnak és halálosnak minősített Man-yi egy hónap alatt a hatodik erős szélvihar a Fülöp-szigeteken. A korábbiak 163 emberéletet követeltek, csaknem 700 ezren elmenekültek lakóhelyükről és ezrek veszítették el otthonukat.

A természeti csapás miatt legsúlyosabban érintett Camarines tartományban szünetelt az áram- és a vízellátás, sok területen pedig a mobiltelefon-hálózat is összeomlott.
A lakosoknak élelmiszert, ivóvizet és egyéb segélyeket is szállítottak, sokuknak azonban építőanyagokra is szüksége lesz, hogy újjáépíthessék elpusztult otthonukat – közölte Camille Gianan tartományi információs tisztviselő.
A Fülöp-szigeteken, illetve a környező vizeken évente mintegy húsz nagy vihar és halálos tájfun söpör végig, de ritka, hogy ilyen időjárási jelenségek ilyen rövid idő alatt kövessék egymást. A tudósok szerint az éghajlatváltozás fokozza a viharok hevességét, a bőséges esőzéseket, a hirtelen árvizeket, és erősebb széllökéseket idéz elő.

A Fülöp-szigetek északi részén áradásokat és földcsuszamlásokat idézett elő a pusztító Jinhszing tájfun, amely pénteken elhagyta a szigetországot, és a Dél-kínai-tenger felé vonult tovább. A Fülöp-szigeteki Cagayán tartományban csütörtökön landolt tájfun falvakat árasztott el, fákat és villanyoszlopokat döntött ki, házakat rongált meg – számoltak be róla a helyi hatóságok, hozzátéve, hogy az érintett falvakból több mint 40 ezer embert evakuáltak a tartomány biztonságosabb régiójába.
Marilou Cayco kormányzó közlése szerint Batanesén, az ország legészakibb szigetén a Jinhszing háztetőket tépett le, kikötőket és két belföldi repülőteret rongált meg. A hegyekben fekvő két északi városból földcsuszamlásokat is jelentettek.
Az újabb károk megnehezítik az elmúlt hetekben az északi régiót sújtó két pusztító vihar utáni helyreállítási munkákat. A Trami trópusi vihar és a Leon tájfun legkevesebb 151 ember halálát okozta a Fülöp-szigeteken és csaknem 9 millió embert érintett, elsősorban az északi és a központi tartományokban. A térség mezőgazdasága is súlyos károkat szenvedett.
Ferdinand Marcos Jr. elnök – szóvivőjének közlése szerint – nem vesz részt a jövő héten Peruban az Ázsiai-Csendes-óceáni Gazdasági Együttműködés (APEC) csúcstalálkozóján, hogy a helyreállítással foglalkozhasson.
A Marce, ahogy a helyi lakosság elnevezte a legújabb tájfunt, a Fülöp-szigeteki meteorológiai hivatal jelentése szerint óránként 150 kilométeres sebességű széllel és óránként több mint 200 kilométeres széllökésekkel száguld Vietnám irányába.

Elérte a Fülöp-szigeteket a Trami trópusi vihar, amely miatt tízezreket kellett kitelepíteni, és számos halálos áldozatot követelt. Az iskolákat már második napja zárva tartják, a hivatali munkát is minimálisra korlátozták. A természeti katasztrófa csaknem egymillió embert érint.
Súlyos katasztrófahelyzetet okozott a Fülöp-szigeteken csütörtökön a Trami trópusi vihar, és halálos áldozatainak száma 26-ra emelkedett – közölték a helyi hatóságok. Az északi Isabela tartományban a helyenként 160 kilométer per órás széllel érkező vihar csak csütörtök hajnalban hét emberéletet követelt, heten eltűntek.
A vihar már közeledtekor áradásokat és szélkárokat okozott, helyiek tízezreit kellett kitelepíteni miatta, és már szerdáig 14 halálos áldozata volt. Az iskolákat csütörtökön is – már második napja – zárva tartották, és a hivatali munkát is minimálisra korlátozták az érintett térségben.
A katasztrófa csaknem egymillió embert érintett. A hatóságok közölték, hogy az áldozatok számának növekedésére számítanak, mert az árvíz több települést teljesen elszigetelt, utakat tett járhatatlanná, és így a mentési munkálatokat is jelentősen megnehezítette. A mentéshez a hadsereget is segítségül hívták – közölte az MTI.
Egymást érik a természeti csapások
Pár nappal ezelőtt Kubában pusztított természeti katasztrófa. Ott az Oscar hurrikán Guantánamo tartományát sújtotta a leginkább, ahol több mint ezer ház sérült meg a heves esőzések és az erős szél miatt. Hat halálos áldozatról érkezett jelentés.
Szeptember végén a Helene hurrikán négyes fokozatú viharként ért partot Florida északnyugati részén, ahol számos lakóépület összeomlott, emellett több utcát is elárasztott a tengervíz. Az okozott szélkárok és a nyomában járó súlyos esőzések az Egyesült Államok legalább öt államát – Floridát, Georgiát, Dél- és Észak-Karolinát, valamint Tennesseet – érintették súlyosan. Az összesítések szerint a Helene hurrikán miatt az Egyesült Államokban nyilvántartott halálos áldozatok száma legkevesebb 84 fő volt.
Alig vonult el a Helene hurrikán, tíz napra rá már elérte Florida partjait a Milton névre hallgató, négyes erősségű trópusi vihar. A többméteres szökőár és a hurrikánok miatt az Egyesült Államok keleti partjánál számtalan lakóépület semmisült vagy sérült meg.

A Trami trópusi vihar csütörtökön súlyos katasztrófahelyzetet idézett elő a Fülöp-szigeteken, és a helyi hatóságok közlése szerint a halálos áldozatok száma 26-ra emelkedett.
Az északi Isabela tartományban a helyenként 160 kilométer/órás széllel érkező vihar csak csütörtök hajnalban hét emberéletet követelt, heten eltűntek.
A vihar már közeledtekor áradásokat és szélkárokat okozott, helyiek tízezreit kellett kitelepíteni miatta, és már szerdáig 14 halálos áldozata volt. Az iskolákat csütörtökön is – már második napja – zárva tartották, és a hivatali munkát is minimálisra korlátozták az érintett térségben. A katasztrófa közel egymillió embert érintett.
A hatóságok közölték, hogy az áldozatok számának növekedésére számítanak, mert az árvíz több települést teljesen elszigetelt, utakat tett járhatatlanná, és így a mentési munkálatokat is jelentősen megnehezítette. A mentéshez a hadsereget is segítségül hívták.

Legalább tizennégy ember életét vesztette áradásokban és földcsuszamlásokban a Fülöp-szigetek keleti részére lecsapó trópusi vihar következtében, a fővárosban felfüggesztették az oktatást és a kormányzati munkát, a vihar miatt egymásnak ütközött két hajó egy fővárosi kikötőben − közölték az illetékes hatóságok hétfőn. Az MTI híradása szerint a Yagi trópusi vihar helyi idő szerint hétfő délután csapott le az északkeleti Aurora tartomány Casiguran nevű tengerparti városára. A vihar partot érés után tovább erősödött, és a meteorológiai hivatal szerint elérte az óránkénti 85 kilométeres sebességet, óránként 105 kilométeres sebességet is meghaladó széllökésekkel.
A fővárostól nyugatra található Rizal tartományban két kis hegyvidéki kunyhót sodort el a földcsuszamlás. A sárlavina három ember, köztük egy terhes nő halálát okozta, négy másik falubéli egy megáradt patakban fulladt meg − közölte a katasztrófavédelem.
További négy ember halt meg földcsuszamlásokban Cebú városában, illetve Észak-Sámar tartományban. A keleti Naga városában egy ember áramütésben halt meg, ketten pedig a vízbe fulladtak.
A vihar miatt riasztást adtak ki az ország legnépesebb tartományának, Luzón területének nagy részére − ideértve Manilát is, ahol a hatóságok felfüggesztették az összes oktatási intézmény működését, illetve a legtöbb kormányzati intézményben folyó munkát.
A hatóságok leállították a tengeri közlekedést a vihar által érintett kikötőkben, amelynek következtében több mint háromezer kompra váró utas és rakodómunkás rekedt a parton. A viharos időjárás miatt több belföldi repülőjáratot is felfüggesztettek.
A főváros térségében található Navotas kikötőjében horgonyzó MV Kamilla kiképzőhajónak nekiment egy, a kikötőből kiforduló másik hajó, amelyet a hullámok térítettek el. Az MV Kamilla hajóhídja megsérült, a fedélzeten tűz ütött ki, az ott tartózkodó 18 tiszt és a legénység elmenekült a hajóról, és egy arra járó vontatóhajón jutott ki a partra − közölte a parti őrség.

A fertőzött egy 33 éves filippínó férfi, aki nem hagyta el az országot, de négy hete érintkezhetett egy fertőzött személlyel.
A betegnél több mint egy hete jelentkeztek a tünetek – először láz, majd négy nappal később kiütések jelentek meg az arcán, a hátán és a test más részein. Kórházba szállították, ahol a monkeypox vírust diagnosztizálták nála.

Armando Balilo közölte, hogy az MT Terra Nova olajszivárgását sikerülhet késleltetniük, miután búváraik a hajó fedélzetén megkezdték a kilenc olajtartály szivárgó részeinek beazonosítását és tömítését, amit várhatóan hétfőn befejeznek.
Ha sikerrel járnak, akkor a maradék olaj kiszivattyúzása is elkezdődhet majd az elsüllyedt hajóból. Megerősítette ugyanakkor, hogy a hajóból eddig kiszabadult olaj időközben elérte a Manilai-öböl északi parti vizeit, de hangsúlyozta, hogy az eddig kiszivárgott olajmennyiség kezelésével egyelőre meg tudnak birkózni.

A Gaemi tájfun hatalmas felfordulást okozott és 16 emberéletet követelt a Fülöp-szigeteken – közölték szerdán a helyi hatóságok.

Az ítéletidő halálos áldozatai között volt egy várandós nő és kilencéves kislánya is a hatóságok szerint. Ők Manilától délre vesztették életüket egy sárlavinában.
Tízezrek váltak fedél nélkülivé, illetve kerestek menedéket evakuációs központokban.
A tájfun szerdán éjjel elérte Tajvan keleti részét is, ahol az első jelentések szerint már két halottja és több sebesültje van. A szigeten, ahol Gaemi idén a harmadik és az utóbbi nyolc év legerősebbjének ígérkező tájfun, csütörtök délutánig felfüggesztették a vasúti közlekedést, törölték a légijáratokat és tanítási szünetet is elrendeltek.
