Ismeretlenek megrongálták Joszif Sztálin szobrát, amelyet tavaly emeltek a Georgia Sida Kartli régiójában fekvő Variani falu lakói.
A Sida Kartli oldal által közzétett fényképeken látható, hogy az egész alakos Sztálin-szobrot lefejezték. Az emlékmű egy betontalapzaton áll egy erdős területen.
A georgiai belügyminisztérium egyelőre nem kommentálta a történteket.
A Sztálin szülővárosától, Goritól 13 kilométerre fekvő Variani lakói tavaly februárban állították a szobrot. Helyi lakosok újságíróknak elmondták, hogy az emlékművet saját kezdeményezésből emelték, mert a településen sokan tisztelik Sztálint.
A szovjet diktátornak Georgiában mindmáig sok tisztelője és szülővárosában emlékmúzeuma is van – írja az MTI.

Ismeretlen férfi letépte a zászlórúdról az ukrán zászlót Tbiliszi központi parkjában; az ukrán nagykövetség az eset kivizsgálását követeli – közölte a Novosztyi-Gruzija, számolt be a Jevropejszka Pravda.
A tbiliszi Vake parkjában történt az incidens, ahol Grúzia, az EU és Ukrajna zászlói lógtak egymás mellett, az esetről készült videó elterjedt a közösségi hálóban, és a Mtavari tévécsatorna is megosztotta.
A videón egy kék inges, napszemüveges középkorú férfi látható, aki sokáig küszködik a zászlórúddal, de végül sikerült letépnie a zászlót, amit magával vitt.
A Mtavari tévécsatorna azt állítja, hogy a videót az a férfi osztotta meg közösségi oldalán, aki letépte a zászlót, majd később elérhetetlenné vált a fiókja. Mtavari szerint az Alt-Info oroszbarát mozgalom támogatója – a szervezet akciói során korábban többször is letépte az uniós zászlókat.
Andrij Kaszjanov, Ukrajna grúziai ideiglenes nagykövete elfogadhatatlannak nevezte az esetet.
„Jelentettük Ukrajna Külügyminisztériumának, és együttműködünk Grúzia bűnüldöző szerveivel annak érdekében, hogy az esetet kivizsgálják, és a tetteseket a grúz jogszabályokkal összhangban bíróság elé állítsák” – jelentette ki Kaszjanov.
Mamuka Kazaradze, a Lelo ellenzéki párt vezetője, a „grúz és ukrán nép testvérisége” elleni provokációnak nevezte az esetet, és az Alt-Info betiltására szólított fel.
2022. január 3-ától törvény lépett hatályba Grúziában, amely 1000 lari pénzbírságot ír elő egy olyan ország zászlajának vagy címerének megsértéséért, amellyel Grúzia diplomáciai kapcsolatban áll.

A grúz (georgiai) rendőrség kedd este Tbilisziben könnygáz bevetésével oszlatta szét a parlament épületénél tüntető tömeget. A tiltakozók a külföldi ügynökökről szóló törvény ellen demonstráltak, miután a képviselők első körben elfogadták a vonatkozó jogszabályt. Szalome Zurabisvili államfő közölte, támogatja a tüntetőket és megvétózza a törvényt.
A kormányzó Georgiai Álom párt által támogatott törvény elfogadása esetén az történne, hogy minden, a működési költségének több mint 20 százalékát külföldről kapó szervezetet „külföldi ügynökként” azonosítanának. A törvényjavaslat szerint ha ez elmarad, akkor súlyos bírság szabható ki az érintettekre.
Az ellenzék szerint a javaslat megbélyegző, és akadályozza a georgiai civil társadalom lehetőségeit, valamint csorbítja a média függetlenségét.
Giorgi Garibasvili miniszterelnök korábban Berlinben támogatásáról biztosította a törvényt, amit azzal indokolt, hogy a külföldi ügynökökkel kapcsolatos intézkedések megfelelnek „az európai és a nemzetközi szabványoknak”.
„Országunk jövője nem függhet és nem is fog függeni külföldi ügynököktől és külföldi országok kiszolgálóitól” – fogalmazott Garibasvili.
A törvényt első körben kényelmes többséggel fogadta el kedden a parlament. Bírálói szerint az új jogszabály a 2012-ben elfogadott orosz törvényre emlékeztet, amelyet azóta is a másként gondolkodók ellen alkalmaznak.
Több ezer tüntető európai uniós és amerikai zászlókkal vonult a parlament elé, és azt skandálta: „Nemet mondunk az orosz törvényre!”
A Twitteren több olyan bejegyzés is megjelent, melyek szerint az Egyesült Államok a kijevi Majdan-téren történtekhez hasonlóan polgárháborús helyzetet akar teremteni Grúziában is.
Szerdán is tüntetést szerveznek
A georgiai televíziós felvételeken is látni lehetett, amint a feldühödött tüntetők összecsapnak a rohamrendőrökkel, akik később könnygázt vetettek be. Egy helyi televízió szerint a rendőrség vízágyút is bevetett a tiltakozó tömeg szétoszlatására.
A georgiai kormány tájékoztatása szerint több rendőr is megsérült az összecsapásokban, és a hatóságok felszerelésében is kárt okoztak a tüntetők. Szerdára újabb tiltakozást hirdettek a parlament elé – írja a BBC.
Szalome Zurabisvili államfő – aki hivatalos látogatáson az Egyesült Államokban tartózkodik – keddi videóüzenetében közölte: támogatja a Tbilisziben tüntetőket. Megerősítette, hogy megvétózza a törvényt, és ebben a formában biztos nem írja alá.
Az Egyesült Államok és az EU is elítéli a törvényjavaslatot
Ned Price, az Egyesült Államok külügyminisztériumának szóvivője szerint a törvénytervezet óriási visszalépést jelentene, és sértené azokat a jogokat, amelyek központi szerepet játszanak a georgiai nép törekvéseiben.
Az Európai Unió jelenleg vizsgálja Georgia tagjelölti státuszra vonatkozó kérelmét. Josep Borrell, az EU kül- és biztonságpolitikai főképviselője pedig arra figyelmeztetett, hogy a törvényjavaslat összeegyeztethetetlen az uniós értékekkel és normákkal.

Egyelőre nem ismertek a férfi indítékai, a georgiai védelmi tárca nem foglalt állást az ügyben – írja az MTI.

Donyeck megyében, Bahmutnál öt grúz önkéntes vesztette életét a napokban: Avto Rurua, Roland Kvarachelija, Romeo Picshaja, Merab Aladasvili és Badri Markelija.
A hírt Grúzia ukrajnai nagykövetsége közölte.
Az Elnöki Hivatal vezetője, Andrij Jermak elmondta, hogy Bahmut közelében körülvették az ukránokból és az 57. dandár grúz önkénteseiből álló katonák egy csoportját. Az információk szerint az öt külföldi áldozaton kívül egy grúz parancsnok is megsérült.

Nagy valószínűséggel megmérgezték a börtönben Miheil Szaakasvili volt grúz elnököt egy friss vizsgálat szerint – számolt be róla az Izvesztija az Mtavari grúz tévécsatorna híradása alapján.
Shalva Khachapuridze, Szaakasvili ügyvédje nemrég hozta nyilvánosságra az orvosi vizsgálat eredményét, amely kimutatta, hogy a volt grúz elnök testében egyéb mérgező anyagok mellett arzént is találtak.
Szaakasvili egészségügyi állapota már annyira leromlott, hogy az előzetes értesülések szerint a bíróságra is tolószékkel érkezik majd, hiszen önállóan már nem képes járni.
November 25-én Mariam Jishkariani, az Empathy civil szervezet vezetője arról számolt be, hogy a volt grúz elnök testében három nehézfémet mutattak ki. Az orvos akkor arra következtetett, hogy Szaakasvili minden bizonnyal mérgezés áldozata lett.
Nem sokkal az orvosi vizsgálatokat követően kezdett el drámaian romlani Szaakasvili egészségügyi állapota. Az ügyvédje szerint nem csak járni képtelen, hanem emellett a bal kezében lévő izmok is elhaltak, valamint a tavaly októberi bebörtönzése óta már 30 kilogrammot fogyott a szörnyű körülmények miatt.
Szaakasvilit 2021 október elsején tartóztatták le, mert a vádak szerint illegálisan lépte át a grúz határt. Emellett szintén vádolják Szandro Girgvliani grúz bankvezető meggyilkolásával összefüggésben, valamint azért, mert állítólag ő rendelte el Valeri Gelasvili grúz képviselő megveretését.
