A közlemény szerint a balesetben személyi sérülést nem jelentettek. A műszaki mentőszolgálat és a tűzoltóság munkatársai úszó olajgátakat állítottak fel, hogy megakadályozzák az olajfolt terjedését a vízben.
A 69 méter hosszú Capella tartályhajó szerdán reggel ütközött össze az olajfúró tornyok utánpótlását szállító 44 méteres Coastal Legenddel. A balesetben a Coastal Legend sérülése miatt ömlött olaj a tengerbe.
Az egyelőre nem derült ki, hogy a két hajó hogyan ütközhetett össze.
A cuxhaveni központi parancsnokság szóvivője elmondta, hogy becsléseik szerint mintegy hatezer liter olaj került a tengerbe. Hozzátette, hogy a kikötőben már amúgy is volt olaj a vízben, de – mint mondta – „minden csepp olaj, ami belekerül, már túl sok”.

Vasárnap kigyulladt egy komp az indonéziai Celebesz (indonéz nevén Szulavézi) sziget közelében, majdnem háromszáz utast sikerült kimenekíteni, de öten nem élték túl a szerencsétlenséget – közölte a parti őrség.
A Manado város felé tartó komp Celebesz északi partjánál borult lángokba – közölte az indonéz tengerbiztonsági hivatal.
„Öt ember meghalt, kettőjüket még azonosítani kell. Kétszáznyolcvannégy embert kimentettek” – áll a hivatal közleményében, amely szerint több utas mentőmellényben a vízbe ugrott.
A közlemény szerint a haditengerészet mellett halászok is segítettek az utasok kimentésében.
A tűz okát nem közölték.
A tengeri közlekedési balesetek gyakoriak a több mint 17 ezer szigetből álló délkelet-ázsiai országban. Július 3-án Bali partjainál elsüllyedt komp, legkevesebb tizenkilencen meghaltak.
Márciusban szintén Bali közelében, a hullámzó tengeren felborult egy komp, egy ausztrál nő meghalt, egy másik utas megsérült.

Szombaton kora délután, helyi idő szerint 14:00 órakor, súlyos hajóbaleset történt Vietnám egyik legismertebb turisztikai célpontjánál, a festői szépségű Ha Long-öbölben.
A „Wonder Sea” nevű turistahajó, fedélzetén 53 emberrel – köztük 5 fős legénységgel – erős széllökések következtében felborult, ami legalább 27 ember életét követelte. A baleset tragikusságát tovább fokozza, hogy a halálos áldozatok között 8 gyermek is volt – jelentette az állami Vietnam News Agency, helyi hatósági forrásokra hivatkozva.
A dél-kínai-tengeri térségben ekkortájt jelent meg a Wipha nevű trópusi vihar, ami a térség idei harmadik tájfunjaként máris komoly pusztítást végzett. Az erős széllökések elérték a 101 km/órás sebességet, míg a legerősebb széllökések a 126 km/órát is meghaladták. A ciklon előszelét érezhették meg azok az utasok is, akik a Ha Long-öböl felfedezésére indultak az éjszakai hajókiránduláson – írja a Sky News.
A People’s Army Newspaper beszámolója szerint a mentési munkálatok még mindig zajlanak, és bár már 12 túlélőt sikerült kimenteni, sok a bizonytalanság az utasok személyazonosságát illetően. A hatóságok egyelőre nem tudták minden turista állampolgárságát megerősíteni. Az eddigi információk alapján a fedélzeten utazók többsége vietnámi, köztük körülbelül húsz gyermek, akik Hanoi városából érkeztek.
A Ha Long-öböl, mely Hanoi városától mintegy 200 kilométerre északkeletre található, évente több tízezer turistát vonz. Sokan közülük az egynapos látogatás helyett inkább éjszakai hajókirándulásra fizetnek be, hogy még közelebbről megcsodálhassák a mészkősziklákkal szabdalt öblöt. Most azonban ez a népszerű program végzetessé vált.
A Noi Bai Nemzetközi Repülőtér tájékoztatása szerint a vihar nemcsak a tengeren, hanem a légi közlekedésben is fennakadásokat okozott. Kilenc beérkező járatot átirányítottak más repülőterekre, míg három induló gép kénytelen volt a kifutópályán maradni az időjárási körülmények miatt.
A mentés irányítói reménykednek abban, hogy további túlélőket találhatnak, bár az esélyek óráról órára csökkennek. A térségben továbbra is heves esőzés és viharos szél nehezíti a keresést. A baleset okainak kivizsgálása folyamatban van, azonban az elsődleges feltételezések szerint a rendkívül gyorsan változó időjárási viszonyok okozták a hajó felborulását.
A hatóságok a történtek után sürgős biztonsági felülvizsgálatot ígértek a hajózási engedélyek és protokollok kapcsán, különös tekintettel azokra a túrahajókra, amelyek a viharos időjárás ellenére is útnak indulnak. A Wipha viharrendszer várhatóan a következő napokban észak-vietnámi partvidéken is lecsap, ezért a lakosságot és a turistákat is fokozott óvatosságra intették.

A tankert jelenleg Görögország felé vontatják, ahol szakértők felmérik a keletkezett károkat. A TMS Tankers cég képviselője szerint a robbanás elárasztotta a gépházat, és víz szivárog a hajótestbe. A robbanás pontos oka egyelőre ismeretlen.

Letartóztatták a Munkapárt Fegyveripari Osztályának helyettes vezetőjét, Ri Hjong Szont, miután súlyos baleset történt a haditengerészet új, 5000 tonnás rombolójának vízrebocsátása során – számolt be róla hétfőn az állami KCNA hírügynökség.
A KCNA közlése szerint Ri „nagyban felelős a múlt heti komoly balesetért”, amely a hajó oldalra billenéséhez és a törzs súlyos sérüléséhez vezetett. Kim Dzsongun pártfőtitkár „bűncselekményként” jellemezte az esetet, amely – szavai szerint – „súlyosan megsértette az ország méltóságát és büszkeségét”.
Ri Hjong Szon tagja a párt Központi Katonai Bizottságának, amely az észak-koreai hadsereg irányításáért és a katonai politika végrehajtásáért felel. Eddig ő a legmagasabb rangú vezető, akit a történtek miatt őrizetbe vettek – írja a BBC.
A hétvégén a csongdzsini hajógyár három vezetőjét is letartóztatták, ahol a rombolót építették és ahol a baleset bekövetkezett. Őrizetbe került a főmérnök, az építkezés vezetője, valamint az adminisztratív igazgató is. Kim Dzsongun korábban úgy nyilatkozott, hogy az incidens „teljes nemtörődömség, felelőtlenség és áltudományos gondolkodás” eredménye volt.
Bár Észak-Korea ritkán hozza nyilvánosságra a belföldi kudarcokat, korábban már előfordult hasonló átláthatóság például elhibázott műholdindítások után. Az állami propaganda most is kivételesen nyíltan számolt be az esetről, amit egyes elemzők tudatos üzenetként értékelnek.
Chun In-bum, a dél-koreai különleges erők volt parancsnoka szerint az eset nyilvánosságra hozatala „ritka és talán a rendszer magabiztosságának jele”.
„Ezzel az új hadihajó-osztállyal Észak-Korea úgy tűnik, egyre nyíltabban kívánja megkérdőjelezni a Dél szuverenitását” – fogalmazott Chun.
Michael Madden, a washingtoni Stimson Center Észak-Korea-szakértője szerint Kim reakciója azt jelzi, hogy a haditengerészeti fejlesztések kiemelt prioritást élveznek a rezsimen belül. A baleset hátterében szerinte az állhat, hogy a hivatalnokokra és gyártási egységekre túl nagy nyomás nehezedett a gyors kivitelezés érdekében.
A mostani kudarc mindössze hetekkel azután történt, hogy Észak-Korea egy másik térségben bemutatta az új hadihajó-projekt első példányát.
Akkor Kim történelmi áttörésként méltatta a fejlesztést, és bejelentette, hogy a hajó jövő év elején hadrendbe áll.
A sérült rombolót a KCNA szerint jelenleg egy szakértői csoport irányításával javítják. A letartóztatott tisztségviselők sorsa egyelőre ismeretlen, de a rezsim hírhedten kemény büntetéseket szabhat ki, beleértve a kényszermunkát vagy akár a halálbüntetést is.

Részben veszélyes rakományt szállító konténerhajó süllyedt el az indiai partoknál a déli Kerala állam térségében – közölte vasárnap a védelmi minisztérium Újdelhiben.
A libériai zászló alatt hajózó jármű 640 konténert, köztük veszélyes anyagot tartalmazó 13 konténert szállított, a tárca ugyanakkor nem pontosította, hogy milyen jellegű veszélyes rakományról van szó. A hajó szombaton került vészhelyzetbe és segélykérést is leadott – ismertette az indiai haditengerészet.
A segítség kiérkezésekor a hajó már veszélyesen az oldalára dőlt, de szerencsére a 24 fős legénységet sikerült kimenteni.
A tájékoztatás szerint orosz, ukrán, grúz, illetve Fülöp-szigeteki állampolgárságú matrózok voltak a fedélzeten.
A haditengerészet beszámolója szerint a fedélzeten volt 12 konténer kalcium-karbid, amelyet a vegyiiparban egyebek között műtrágya gyártására használnak.
A haditengerészet hangsúlyozta, hogy tekintettel az érzékeny tengeri ökológiai rendszerre Kerala partjai előtt, igyekeznek a szennyezést kordában tartani. A hajó emellett nagyjából 370 tonna üzemanyagot, illetve olajat is szállított.
A parti őrség közölte, hogy bevetettek egy észlelőrendszert, de eddig nem lelték nyomát szennyezésnek.

Több embert őrizetbe vettek az észak-koreai hatóságok az ország 5000 tonnás hadihajójának szerdai balesete után – írja a Bloomberg helyi médiabeszámolók alapján. A hajó tervezett indítása rosszul sült el és az ország történetének egyik legnagyobb ballépésébe torkollt.
Észak-Korea szerdán demonstratív módon, Kim Dzsongun jelenlétében tervezte vízre bocsátani legújabb 5000 tonnás hadihajóját, azonban a művelet balul sült el. A hivatalos vizsgálatok azóta is tartanak, egyelőre nem találtak további sérüléseket a hajón, a helyreállítás a tervek szerint folyik.
Ugyanakkor a felelősségre vonás is elkezdődött, a hírek szerint a kikötő vezető mérnökét, a hajótörzset készítő egység vezetőjét, valamint az adminisztratív feladatokért felelős helyettes vezetőt letartóztatták.

A helyi tűzoltóság tájékoztatása szerint négy embert sikerült kimenteni a vízből, őket kórházba szállították. Az Encinitas városi tűzoltóság helyettes vezetője, Jorge Sanchez elmondta: a hajón utazók egyike arról számolt be, hogy összesen 18-an lehettek a fedélzeten, de ennek pontos megerősítése egyelőre nem történt meg – írja az NBC News.
A beszámolók szerint egy úgynevezett panga típusú hajó borult fel – ezek kis méretű, gyors motorcsónakok, amelyeket gyakran használnak embercsempészéshez is a mexikói–amerikai határ közelében.
A keresésben a parti őrség és a San Diegó-i seriffhivatal is részt vesz, utóbbi közlése szerint a mentés központja a Del Mar városában található Stratford Court 200-as háztömbjénél van.
A parti őrség hivatalos közleménye szerint kilenc ember hollétéről továbbra sincs információ.
„Folyamatosan átfésüljük a területet, hogy megbizonyosodjunk róla, nincs-e még valaki a vízben” – mondta Sanchez.
A baleset pontos okát még vizsgálják. A hatóságok nem zárták ki, hogy a hajón tartózkodók illegálisan próbáltak az Egyesült Államokba jutni. Az elmúlt években több hasonló eset is történt Kalifornia partjainál, amelyek közül több is halálos áldozatokat követelt.

Orosz állampolgár annak a konténerszállító hajónak a kapitánya, aki kedden nagy sebességgel egy amerikai tartályhajónak ütközött – közölte a The Guardian.
A Solong portugál zászló alatt közlekedő konténerszállító hajó hétfőn nekiütközött a Stena Immaculate amerikai hadsereg számára sugárhajtómű-üzemanyagot szállító tartályhajónak. Egy nappal később a brit rendőrség letartóztatta a Solong kapitányát súlyos gondatlanságból elkövetett emberölés gyanújával.
A Stena Immaculate éppen horgonyzott, amikor a kisebbik Solong nekiütközött, hatalmas tüzeket és robbanásokat okozva. A balesetben a legénység egyik tagja eltűnt, miközben üzemanyag ömlött a tengerbe a tartályhajóból.
A rendőrség szerint az 59 éves kapitány továbbra is őrizetben van. A hamburgi tulajdonos, Ernst Russ megerősítette, hogy a Solong kapitánya orosz állampolgár volt, hozzátéve, hogy a legénység többi tagja orosz és fülöp-szigeteki állampolgárokból állt.
