 Daniel Hagari katonai szóvivő elmondta, hogy a holttestek nyomára a Sin Bet és a hadsereg kommandósai közösen találtak rá olyan titkosszolgálati információk alapján, amelyeket egyebek között az övezetben elfogott palesztinokból szedtek ki. A holttesteket igazságügyi orvosszakértők azonosították.
 Az egyik áldozat a 22 éves Sani Luk volt, aki egy barátjával, a francia-mexikói kettős állampolgár Orion Hernandez Radóval vett részt a partin. Radót is elrabolták, de az ő sorsa ismeretlen. Egy másik áldozat a 28 éves, asdódi Amit Buszkila, a harmadik pedig az 56 éves Icik Glanter. Izrael még 129 túszt tart nyilván, közülük 39-ről úgy tudja, hogy már nem él.

 „Eltökélt szándékunk, hogy a tűzszünet befejezése után is mindent megtegyünk annak érdekében, hogy az összes túsz hazatérhessen a családjához” – szögezte le Blinken az elmúlt napok izraeli-palesztin túszcseréire utalva. Hangoztatta, hogy ezt a kérdést az arab kollégáival tartott megbeszélésén is felvetette. Az amerikai tárcavezető Katar, az Egyesült Arab Emírségek, Egyiptom, Jordánia és Bahrein külügyminiszterével, továbbá a Palesztin Hatóság képviselőivel egyeztetett a dubaji ENSZ-klímacsúcs helyszínén.
 Elmondta, hogy a tárgyaláson a Gázai övezet jövőjéről, a tartós béke eléréséről is szó volt.
 A Hamász palesztin szélsőséges szervezet Izrael elleni, október 7-i támadása óta Blinken harmadszor tett látogatást a térségben.
 A Hamász fegyveresei október elején több száz túszt hurcoltak magukkal Izraelből. Azóta 110 túszt már szabadon engedtek, közülük 105-öt – többnyire nőket és kiskorúakat – a csütörtökön véget ért egyhetes tűzszünet alatt.
 Az izraeli hatóságok pénteki közlése szerint a Hamász és a vele együttműködő fegyveres csoportok jelenleg 137 túszt tartanak fogva.

 A Gázái övezetet uraló Hamász iszlamista terrorcsoport fegyveresei október 7-én meglepetésszerű támadást indítottak Izrael ellen, betörtek az ország déli részébe, mintegy 1200 embert meggyilkoltak, háromezret megsebesítettek, 240 túszt elhurcoltak.
 Izrael válaszul katonai műveletet indított a Hamász eltörlésére. A legfrissebb értesülések szerint 11 240-re növekedett a halálos áldozatok száma az izraeli erők ostromolta palesztin területen.

 A Hamász azt állítja, hogy kétszáz túszt ejtett az október 7-ei támadások alatt, további ötven embert pedig más fegyveres csoportok tartanak fogva.
Állapotukról egyelőre annyit közöltek, hogy húszan egy izraeli légicsapásban életüket vesztették.
 A Hamász korábban azt hangoztatta, hogy a túszokat az izraeli börtönökbe zárt hatezer palesztin rabért cserébe hajlandóak csak elengedni. Pénteken a Hamász fegyveres szárnya, az Ezzedin al-Kasszam Brigádjai két amerikai túszt – egy anyát és lányát – szabadon engedett humanitárius okokból.
