A közlemény szerint „azzal a tragikus incidenssel kapcsolatban, amelyben egy rendőr meghalt a Vinnica megyei Florine községben ma éjjel. A két keresett személy nem a 28. külön gépesített dandár katonája”.
A dél-ukrajnai védelmi erők is arról számoltak be, hogy a nevezett dandár harcosai nem vettek részt a támadásban. A gyanúsítottak ugyanis már több mint egy éve nem a 28. külön gépesített dandár katonája.
„Ezenkívül megjegyezzük, hogy a bűncselekmény elkövetésével gyanúsított személyek több mint egy éve nem állnak kapcsolatban a Téli Hadjárat Lovagjairól elnevezett 28. külön gépesített dandárral. Mindent megteszünk az ügy kivizsgálásának elősegítése és az igazságszolgáltatás biztosítása érdekében” – áll a közleményben.
Április 20-ra virradó éjszaka ismeretlenek tüzet nyitottak két rendőrre Vinnica megyében. A rendőrök egy ismeretlen autót állítottak meg ellenőrzésre. A gépkocsiban két férfi ült, akik tüzet nyitottak a rendőrökre. Egy 20 éves rendőr belehalt sérüléseibe, a társa megsebesült.

Az asszony bejegyzése szerint az eset június 25-én történt a kárpátaljai megyeszékhely Kotljarevszka utcai buszmegállójában 15:25 órakor. Mint beszámolt róla, ezen a napon férjével, Jevhen Holjukkal, az ukrán fegyveres erők tisztjével mentek egy ABC üzletbe kávét és vizet vásárolni. Ám a pénztárnál „egy ittas civil ruhás férfi beléjük kötött”. „Első szavai a férjemnek szóltak: „Harcoltál vagy megpucoltál?” Zsenya nyugodtan válaszolt, hogy harcolt. A férfit a válasz nem elégítette ki, és továbbra is emelt hangon kérdezett: „És hol? Hogyan? És miért léptél le? És most mi van ott?”. A férjem nyugodtan elmondta, hogy a 15. rohamzászlóaljban szolgál, és Szoledar védelme után korlátozottan alkalmasnak minősítették” – írta a sértett. Az asszony szerint férjének a válasza nagyon feldühítette a részeg férfit. „Maga nem helyi, ez azonnal látszik, miért jött ide, és tudja, ki vagyok én, őrnagy, ez az én körzetem, itt mindenki ismer engem” – mondta az ittas illető.
Ezt követően a kötekedő férfi, Kosztyantin, még dühösebb lett, és lökdösni kezdte a férjet és a feleséget. Az üzletben az eladónő próbálta megnyugtatni, de nem hallgatott rá. Tetyana kérte, hogy hívja a rendőrséget, és férjével együtt kimentek a boltból, mert nem akartak botrányt. „Kimentünk az üzletből, bementünk a buszmegállóba, és a 102 számot hívtuk. Amikor a férjem már a füléhez tartotta a telefont, Kosztya (Kosztantyin Vari őrnagy) is megjelent a buszmegállóban, ököllel a férjemre vetette magát, de valamiért meggondolta magát, és hirtelen irányt váltott, odarohant hozzám (pár méterrel a férjem mögött álltam) és ököllel állkapcson ütött. Igen, egy nőt. Igen, az öklével. Leestem, majd fölém hajolt és újabb ütést mért a bal halántékomra. Mindez gyorsan és váratlanul történt, a férjemnek nem volt ideje közbelépni, mert Vari elszaladt” – írta az áldozat.
Tetyana azonnal hívta a 102-t. Miközben a rendőrségre vártak, az emberek gyülekezni kezdtek körülöttük. Elmondták, hogy Kosztya nem először támad emberekre, elsősorban nőkre, de a helyiek félnek tőle, és nem tesznek feljelentést. Nem voltak olyanok sem, akik hajlandóak lettek voltak megvárni a rendőrséget és tanúskodni. Később megérkeztek a rendőrök és a mentősök.
Kosztyantin Varit a saját lakásában találták meg, őrizetbe vették, megszondáztatták, a készülék 2,04 ezrelék alkoholt mutatott ki nála. A mentőorvosok megállapították, hogy Tetyana állcsontja eltört. A helyszínen jegyzőkönyvet vettek fel, amelynek alapján a büntetőtörvénykönyv 125. cikkelyének 1. része (könnyű testi sértés szándékos okozása) alapján büntetőeljárás indult.
Ugyanannak a napnak az estéjén az ungvári városi kórház traumatológiai osztályán „a fej lágyrészeinek zúzódását, az alsó állkapocs zúzódását” diagnosztizálták Tetyana Novaknál. Másnap reggel, hétfőn férjével felkeresték a Nemzeti Rendőrség Kárpátalja megyei főosztályát. Miközben Tetyana a férjével a taxiban volt, felhívták a megyei hadkiegészítő parancsnokságáról, találkozót ajánlva, hogy megbeszéljék az esetet, és békésen rendezzenek mindent. A nő ezt visszautasította.
Mint kiderült, a rendőrség három napig nem tett semmit az ügyben. „Egy hétig nem válaszolt konkrétan a nyomozó az ügyben feltett kérdéseimre. Nem tudom, hogy a kamerákat lefoglalták-e az üzletben, meghallgatták-e a tanúkat (legalábbis az eladónőt), volt-e őrizetbe vételi jegyzőkönyv bizonyítékokkal, hogy Vari ittas volt. Nincsenek kapcsolataim, nincs pénzem ügyvédre. Az egyetlen lehetőség számomra a nyilvánosság, az önök támogatása és az ingyenes ügyvédi segítség” – összegezte Tetyana Novak, a katonai brutalitás áldozata.

Lubinec beszélt a Törökországban Tetyana Moszkalkova orosz ombudsmannal folytatott tárgyalások eredményeiről.
„Áttörés nincs, de legalább elkezdődött a technikai munka. Listákat és információkat cserélünk. Az eltűnt személyeken külön dolgozunk. Vannak már olyan esetek, amikor halottnak tekintett polgárainkat és hőseinket illetően megerősítést kaptunk, miszerint élnek – 23 fiúról van szó. Ez óriási pozitívum” – mondta el.

„Körülbelül ötszáz polgári lakost találtak elföldelve. Eddig egy sírt fedeztek fel, amelyben az ukrán fegyveres erők mintegy húsz katonája van tömegesen eltemetve” – idézte az Ukrinform hírügynökség az ombudsmant. Szavai szerint az ukrán katonákat hátuk mögött megkötött kézzel találták agyonlőve.
„Nyilvánvaló, hogy az elhunyt katonák foglyok voltak. A rendfenntartók úgy vélik, hogy először megkínozták, majd kivégezték őket” – tette hozzá. Lubinec közölte: nem kizárt, hogy nem ez az egyetlen hely, ahol ukrán katonák holttesteit temették el a régióban.
