A szén-monoxid-mérgezésben meghalt áldozatok közül kilencen kazah, ketten orosz és ketten üzbég állampolgárok voltak – közölte a városi rendőrség.
A tűz kora reggel ütött ki egy háromemeletes épületben, amelynek földszintjén és alagsorában 72 vendég szállt meg. 59 embernek sikerült elhagynia az épületet. Négyen kértek orvosi ellátást, köztük egy indiai diák – idézte a helyi sajtó a hatóságokat.
A tűz oka egyelőre tisztázatlan, de a helyi kormányzat közölte, hogy külön bizottságot állított föl ennek kivizsgálására.

Legalább tizenhat bányász meghalt Kazahsztánban, egy újabb halálos balesetben az ArcelorMittal globális acélóriás egyik bányájában – közölték szombaton a hatalmas közép-ázsiai ország hatóságai.
A regionális közigazgatás adatai szerint tűz ütött ki a Kosztyenko bányában, amelynek következtében 16 ember meghalt, további tizennyolcat pedig különböző mértékű sérülésekkel kórházba szállítottak. Ugyanezen forrás szerint „a föld alatt tartózkodó 252 bányász közül 205-öt hoztak a felszínre”.
Két hónapon belül ez a második halálos baleset a csoport egyik telephelyén, miután augusztus közepén öt bányász halt meg ugyanebben a régióban.
A tragédia nem messze Karaganda városától történt, a közép-kazahsztáni ipari területen.
Az ArcelorMittal csoportot Kazahsztán rendszeresen bírálja a biztonsági és környezetvédelmi előírások be nem tartása miatt.
Kaszim-Zsomart Tokajev kazahsztáni elnök szombaton elrendelte, hogy szüntessék meg az együttműködést a luxemburgi székhelyű csoporttal.

A kazahsztáni Almatiban történt hihetetlen mentést megörökítő videón jól látható, ahogy az asszony kilógatja a kisgyermeket az ablakon, miközben fekete füst gomolyog a lakásból. Mindeközben az ablak alatt kisebb tömeg gyűlt össze, hogy segítsenek a bajba jutott családon. Többen egy matracot tartottak az ablak alatt, hogy annak segítségével felfogják a gyermek zuhanását, aki végül épségben földet ért.
A Mirror cikke szerint a gyermek a matracra esett, majd a felnőtt is utána ugrott, akit szintén sikerült elkapni a matraccal.
A helyi egészségügyi minisztérium közlése szerint hétfőn 31 embert szállítottak kórházba az égő épületből, köztük 16 gyermeket. Halálesetről nem érkezett jelentés.
A tűzoltóság közleménye szerint az ötödik és hatodik emelet szintjén lévő liftaknában elektromos kábelek kaptak lángra, ez okozta a tüzet. A tűzoltók kiérkezésük után másfél órával eloltották a tüzet, és mintegy 250 embert menekítettek ki az épületből.

Kazahsztánban elfogtak egy Oroszországban és az Egyesült Államokban is körözött orosz kiberbiztonsági szakértőt – közölte szerdán a férfi munkáltatója.
Az elfogott Nyikita Kiszlicin az orosz F.A.C.C.T. nevű kiberbiztonsági cég alkalmazottja. Június 22-én fogták el a kazah hatóságok, és jelenleg a Washington által előterjesztett kiadatási kérelmet vizsgálják.
Az amerikai vádak a szakértő korábbi újságírói és független kutatói tevékenységével kapcsolatosak. A férfi egykor a Hacker című orosz szaklap főszerkesztője volt.
A Vedomosztyi című orosz lap beszámolója szerint egy moszkvai bíróság is elrendelte Kiszlicin letartóztatását azzal a gyanúval, hogy jogosulatlanul fért hozzá bizalmas digitális információkhoz. Moszkva szintén a férfi kiadatását fogja kérni.
A Ria Novosztyi orosz hírügynökség tudósítása szerint Oroszország kazahsztáni diplomáciai képviselete azzal a kéréssel fordult Asztanához, hogy ne hamarkodja el a férfi kiadatását az Egyesült Államoknak.

Tűzvész tombol Kazahsztán Kínával szomszédos, keleti régiójában, és 14 erdészeti dolgozó halála miatt hétfőn félárbócra vonták az országban a nemzeti zászlókat.
A több nappal ezelőtt kialakult tűz következtében elhunyt embereket csütörtök óta eltűntként tartották nyilván, holttesteiket az elmúlt hétvégén találták meg.
Hétfőn egy újabb erdész után indítottak kutatást, egyelőre eredménytelenül.
A kormány közlése szerint a tűz 43 ezer hektáron ég, 1500 tűzoltó több száz tűzoltóautóval és 12 helikopterrel küzd a lángok továbbterjedése ellen. Közel 20 ezer hektáron már megfékezték a lángokat.
Kaszim-Zsomart Tokajev kazah elnök a múlt hét végén felmentette tisztségéből a rendkívüli helyzetek miniszteri posztját betöltő Jurij Iljint, mert véleménye szerint „bűncselekménnyel felérő mulasztás” van a tűzeset hátterében.
A Tengrinews kazah hírportál jelentése szerint az új miniszter, Szirim Saripanov azt mondta, hogy további néhány napba telhet még a tűz eloltása.

Tizennégy ember halt meg a Kazahsztán északkeleti részén pusztító erdőtüzekben. A közép-ázsiai országban évek óta nem látott mennyiségű katasztrófa miatt 316 embert kellett kimenekíteni a területről, de lakott területet nem fenyeget veszély és már körülzárták a tüzet a tűzoltók, közölte az ország vészhelyzetekkel foglalkozó minisztériuma nyomán az Al Jazeera.
A minisztérium korábbi közlése szerint a hatvanezer hektárnyi területet érintő tűzben több erdész is csapdába esett. Az ország elnöke, Kaszim-Zsomart Tokajev szombaton menesztette a minisztériumot vezető Jurij Iljint.
Több mint ezer ember, elsősorban a honvédelmi és a katasztrófavédelmi minisztérium alkalmazottai vesznek részt a tűzoltási és mentési munkálatokban. A tűzvészt csütörtökön a helyi hatóságok közlése szerint egy villámcsapás váltotta ki. Az orosz elnök, Vlagyimir Putyin részvétét fejezte ki Tokajevnek.

Január 10-én a kazah sajtó Kazahsztán több magas rangú rendészeti tisztviselőjének haláláról számolt be.
A Vlaszty hírportál adatai szerint a kazah Nemzetbiztonsági Bizottság Azamat Ibrajev ezredes haláláról számolt be. Állítólag holttestét saját otthona udvarán találták meg.
„2022. január 10-én Nur-Sultan városában találták meg a Nemzetbiztonsági Bizottság ezredese, Azamat Ibrajev a holttestét háza udvarán” – idézte a Vlaszty Kazahsztán Nemzetbiztonsági Bizottsága közleményét.
A helyi sajtó adatai szerint Ibrajev korábban a Nemzetbiztonsági Bizottság belbiztonsági osztályát vezette. A sajtóorgánumok közölték, hogy a Nemzetbiztonsági Bizottság alkalmazottja előtte kiesett a lakása ablakából.
A Shot és az Orda.kz Telegram csatornák adatai szerint holtan találták a kazahsztáni Zsambil megye rendőrfőnökét, Zsanat Szulejmenovot, akit öt nappal azelőtt neveztek ki a régió parancsnokává.
A halál okának több helyi sajtóorgánum az öngyilkosságot nevezte meg. Adataik szerint a vezérőrnagy ellen büntetőeljárás indult lemondása miatt, ami „szörnyű következményekkel” járt. Taraz városában például a tüntetők felgyújtották a rendőrkapitányság épületét, és lőfegyvereket tulajdonítottak el. A Telegram csatorna adatai szerint Szulejmenovot perrel fenyegették.
