A tajvan védelmi minisztérium pénteken közölte, hogy egy új típusú kínai harci drón körözött a sziget partjainál. A kínai állami média szerint ez a drón nehézfegyverek szállítására is alkalmas.
Áprilisban Kína több hadgyakorlat is tartott a Tajvani-öbölben.
A minisztérium az előző 24 óra kínai katonai tevékenységéről szóló napi jelentésében közölte, hogy 19 katonai repülőgép lépett be a sziget légvédelmi azonosító zónájába.
Az MTI a tajvani közleményre hivatkozva írja, hogy az egyik ilyen repülőgép egy TB-001 típusú drón volt. A pilóta nélküli repülőeszköz először átrepült a Tajvant a Fülöp-szigetektől elválasztó Basi-csatornán, majd Tajvan keleti részén haladt, később pedig visszatért a kínai partok felé.
A TB-001-et a kínai állami média „kétfarkú skorpiónak” nevezi, és képeket is mutatott róla, amelyeken rakéták vannak a szárnya alatt. Azt állították, hogy az eszköz nagy magasságban képest végrehajtani nagy hatótávolságú küldetéseket.
Tajvan szerint a kínai légierő emellett az általa a „szigetek bekerítésének” nevezett hadgyakorlatokat hajtott végre a nukleáris fegyver hordozására képes H-6 típusú bombázógéppel. Lövések nem dördültek el, és kínai repülőgépek sem repültek be Tajvan légtérazonosító zónájába.
Kína azok után tartott több hadgyakorlat Tajvan körül, hogy Caj Jing-ven tajvani elnök Los Angelesben találkozott Kevin McCarthyval, az amerikai képviselőház elnökével.
A kínai katonai repülőgépek tavaly óta rendszeresen átlépték a Tajvani-szoros középvonalát, amely általában nem hivatalos határként szolgál a két fél között, noha Kína ezt a határt nem ismeri el, a demokratikusan kormányzott szigetet pedig saját területének tekinti.
Két héttel ezelőtt az Euronews is megírta, hogy az Egyesült Államok haditengerészetének Milius nevű hajója haladt át a Tajvani-szoroson, a gyakorlatot pedig szimpla rutinműveletnek titulálta az amerikai haderő.

Rálőttek a tajvani katonák egy kínai drónra, amely túl közel került a Csinmen-szigetek egyik szigetének partjaihoz. A keddi incidens nem sokkal azután történt, hogy Tajvan elnöke, Caj Jing-ven kijelentette: megfelelő erővel lépnek fel minden egyes kínai provokációval szemben – írja a Reuters.
Tajvan és Kína között hetek óta elviselhetetlen a feszültség, mióta Nancy Pelosi amerikai házelnök minden figyelmeztetés ellenére a szigetországba látogatott. Kína utána nagyszabású hadgyakorlattal kvázi körülzárta Tajvant, a fegyverek pedig azóta is csőre vannak töltve mindkét oldalon.
Tényleges lövések viszont csak most dördültek el, és sokan emiatt aggódnak is. A lövések figyelmeztető jellegűek voltak és a drónt nem találták el, a jármű hamarosan visszatért Kínába. Kínai drónok rendszeresen megsértik Tajvan szerint a légterüket, elsősorban a Csinmen-szigetek környékén. Ez az erősen vitatott szigetcsoport van a legközelebb a szárazföldhöz, így Kínához is, közigazgatásilag Tajvanhoz tartozik.
A helyi katonák éles lövedékeket lőttek a drónra. Kína egyelőre nem kommentálta az incidenst, de korábban úgy nyilatkoztak, hogy „a drónokkal nem kell foglalkozni”.
