 A baloldali szélsőséges, akinek fekete-fehér fotója évtizedeken át volt kifüggesztve a szigetország rendőrőrsein, a múlt héten álnéven jelentkezett be egy kórház onkológiai osztályára kezelésre.  Még Halloween-kosztümöket is ihletett Japán legkeresettebb bűnözője.
 A Hirosima városában született Kirisima diákévei alatt radikalizálódott Tokióban és a Kelet-Ázsia Japánellenes Fegyveres Frontjához csatlakozott. A baloldali szélsőséges csoport az 1970-es években több merényletet is elkövetett japán vállalatok ellen. A Mitsubishi vállalatcsoport ellen elkövetett egyik támadás során nyolc ember vesztette életét.
 A japán hatóságok szerint Kirisima 1975 áprilisában részt vett egy pokolgépes merénylet végrehajtásában, amelyben a tokiói Ginza városrészben komoly károk keletkeztek egy épületben, halottak azonban nem voltak. Kirisima ezt követően bújkálni kezdett.
 Az Aszahi televíziós csatorna szerint Kirisima évekig kettős életét élt.
 Ucsida Hirosi álnéven dolgozott Fudzsiszava városában egy építőipari cégnél, fizetését készpénzben vette fel, nem volt egészségbiztosítása és jogosítványa sem, hogy észrevétlen maradhasson a hatóságok előtt, s orvosi költségeit is saját zsebből fizette.
 Kilétét csak néhány nappal korábban fedte fel. „Szeretnék a halállal az igazi nevemen szembenézni” – jelentette ki Kirisima halálos ágyán az egészségügyi személyzet szerint.

 A külföldi férfi iratainak ellenőrzése során aktiválódott az Interpol adatbázisa. Ezen tény alapján a Csapi-különítmény határőrei értesítették az Interpol Ukrbjuro és a Nemzeti Rendőrség ungvári járási osztályának képviselőit.
 
 Kiderült, hogy a litván férfi nemzetközi körözés alatt állt, az általa elkövetett bűncselekmény miatt le kell tartóztatni, majd kiadni Litvániának büntetőeljárás lefolytatása céljából. A külföldi férfival kapcsolatos információk mindössze két napja kerültek be az Interpol adatbázisába, amikor a férfi Ukrajna területén tartózkodott. Az őrizetbe vett személyt átadták a Nemzeti Rendőrség nyomozói-operatív csoportjának – számolt be az Állami Határőrszolgálat Nyugati Regionális Osztályának Nyugat-Ukrajnai kirendeltsége.
