Már több mint 123 ezren menekültek el otthonaikból a Gázai övezetben a Hamász iszlamista szervezet Izrael ellen indított támadására adott izraeli válaszcsapások nyomán – közölte hétfőn az ENSZ Humanitárius Ügyeket Koordináló Irodája (OCHA).
Eddig mintegy 17 500 család keresett máshol menedéket az övezeten belül, a legtöbben félelemből, saját testi épségük vagy otthonuk lerombolása miatti aggodalmuk miatt menekültek el – derült ki a közleményből.
A OCHA tájékoztatása szerint 159 lakóépület megsemmisült, 1210 pedig súlyosan megrongálódott az izraeli csapásokban. Beszámoltak arról is, hogy a hadjárat 400 ezer ember vízellátását és a csatornahálózatot is megrongálta.
Az izraeli hadsereg az éjjel több mint 500 célpontra mért csapást az éjszaka folyamán a Gázai övezetben. Gázai egészségügyi források szerint az övezetben már több mint 400 halálos áldozata van az izraeli ellentámadásnak. A halottak között 20 gyerek van, illetve 200 sebesültről is tudni.
A szombaton Izraelbe betörő palesztin szélsőségesek több mint hétszáz izraelit öltek meg.

A mianmari segélyszervezetek csütörtökön közölték: legkevesebb 17 rohingja menekült meghalt, harmincan pedig eltűntek, miután hajójuk – feltehetően még az elmúlt hét végén – felborult a Bengáli-öbölben a rossz időjárás miatt.
A mentésben részt vevő szervezet szerint mintegy 55-en tartózkodtak a hajó fedélzetén, amikor az a múlt hét végén elhagyta a mianmari Rakhine államban fekvő egyik települést.
A baleset Rakhine fővárosa, Sittwe közelében történt, azt azonban nem tudni, hogy pontosan mikor és miért.
Az önkéntesek beszámolói szerint hétfő óta nyolc embert mentettek ki a szerencsétlenül járt hajóról, és 17 – köztük 10 női – holttestet találtak.
A hajó eredetileg Malajziába tartott, ahová a muszlim vallású kisebbségi rohingják ezrei menekülnek a buddhista többségű Mianmarból az üldöztetések, Bangladesből pedig a szegénység miatt.
Az elmúlt években számtalan rohingja menekült vesztette életét a tengeren betegség, éhezés és kimerülés következtében, miközben rozoga csónakokon próbáltak eljutni a térség muszlim többségű országaiba.
A mintegy 1,1 milliós rohingja etnikum tagjai Malajzia mellett gyakran Thaiföldre és Indonéziába menekülnek embercsempészek segítségével.

Több mint négymillióan kényszerültek már otthonuk elhagyására Szudánban azóta, hogy négy hónapja fegyveres konfliktus kezdődött – közölte az ENSZ helyi idő szerint szerdán.
„A 16 hete tartó válság óta több mint négymillióan menekültek el otthonukból az ország határain belül vagy a határokon túlra, szomszédos országokba” – mondta Clementine Nkweta-Salami, az ENSZ szudáni humanitárius koordinátora.
„Sokan nem tudnak elmenekülni, és olyan is van, hogy megakadályozzák, hogy az emberek máshol keressenek biztonságot” – közölte a koordinátor.
„Akiknek sikerül, további veszélyekkel néznek szembe, útjuk alatt zaklatásnak és rablásnak vannak kitéve” – tette hozzá.
Az ENSZ Biztonsági Tanácsának tartott tájékoztatóban Edem Wosornu, az Európia Unió humanitárius koordinációs hivatalának igazgatója Martin Griffith, az ENSZ sürgősségi segélyeinek koordinátora nevében azt mondta, Szudán humanitárius katasztrófába süllyedése súlyosbodott.
Hozzátette, hogy az ország kórházainak 80 százaléka nem működik, és 14 millió gyerek, a szudáni gyerekek fele szorul humanitárius segítségre.
Szudánban április közepén kezdődött a konfliktus Abdel Fattáh al-Burhán elnök és alelnöke, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo között. Az országnak 46 millió lakosa van.

A szudáni fegyveres konfliktus miatt mintegy 368 ezer gyerek kényszerült hátra hagyni otthonát és új helyen menedéket keresni, közülük csaknem 82 ezren a szomszédos országokba menekültek családjukkal – közölte pénteken az ENSZ Gyermekalapja (UNICEF).
„A brutális szudáni harcoknak katasztrofális hatásuk van a gyerekekre” – hangoztatta Catherine Russell, az UNICEF főigazgatója. Figyelmeztetett, hogy ezreknek volt részük megrázó élményekben s egyelőre bizonytalan a traumatizált gyerekek helyzete.
Az ENSZ közlése szerint az április 15-én kitört harcokban eddig legalább hatszáz ember vesztette életét és legkevesebb 5100-an sebesültek meg, bár félő, hogy a valós számok túlmutatnak a rendelkezésre álló adatokon.
A szembenálló felek, az állami hadsereg élén álló Abdel Fattáh al-Burhán, Szudán de facto elnöke és a rivális félkatonai Gyorsreagálású Támogató Erők (RSF) között többször is született megállapodás tűzszünetről, ezek azonban jellemzően kudarcba fulladtak.
A felek ugyanakkor pénteken sikeresen megállapodtak a polgári lakosság védelméről és arról, hogy lehetővé teszik a humanitárius segélyezést, valamint lehetőséget adnak a lakosság számára, hogy eltemessék halottaikat.

Harmincöt menekültet találtak egy kamion utánfutójában Alsó-Ausztriában. Az embereket azután fedezték fel, hogy a jármű megsérült, és egy autószerelő műhely egyik munkatársa hangokat hallott a rakománytérből. A kamion sofőrjét letartóztatták.
A lengyel rendszámú jármű azután szerzett sérüléseket, hogy szerdán rossz irányba hajtott ki egy autópálya melletti pihenőhelyről. A kamion gumijai elkezdtek lángolni, azonban a sofőrnek sikerült eloltania a tűzet. A szemtanúk értesítették az autópálya-rendőrséget, akik a közeli Villach egyik autószerelő műhelyébe szállították a járművet.
A műhely egyik munkatársa szerda este 9 órakor észlelt hangokat a félreparkolt utánfutóból. Egy kollégája infrakamera segítségével megállapította, hogy a rakománytérben mozgás is van. Ekkor értesítették a rendőröket, akik felnyitották az utánfutót.
Összesen 35 embert találtak bent, akik több mint 70 órát töltöttek élelem nélkül a hideg rakománytérben. A menekültek azt mondták, Bangladesből, Nepálból és Egyiptomból érkeztek. A hatóságok azonban még vizsgálják a származásukat.

Több ezer ember maradt fedél nélkül, miután óriási tűz ütött ki egy zsúfolt rohingja menekülttáborban, Banglades délkeleti részén – számolt be az Index.
A tűzvész, amelyet már sikerült megfékezni, vasárnap mintegy 2 ezer menedékhelyen pusztított a Cox’s Bazar táborban. Becslések szerint mintegy 12 ezer embernek – akiknek többsége a szomszédos Mianmarban elkövetett erőszakos cselekmények elől menekült – semmisült meg a szállása.
A tűz oka egyelőre nem tisztázott, és áldozatokról sem érkezett jelentés.
A tűz helyi idő szerint körülbelül 14:45-kor ütött ki, és gyorsan végigfutott a bambuszból és ponyvából épült menedékhelyeken – közölte egy tisztviselő.
„Körülbelül 2 ezer menedékhely égett le, így körülbelül 12 ezer, kényszerűen kitelepített mianmari állampolgár maradt fedél nélkül” – mondta Mijanur Rahman, Banglades menekültügyi biztosa az AFP hírügynökségnek.
A lángokat három órán belül sikerült megfékezni, de legkevesebb 35 mecset és 21, menekültek számára fenntartott oktatási központ is megsemmisült – tette hozzá.
A túlzsúfolt táborok fokozottan tűzveszélyesek
A bangladesi védelmi minisztérium múlt hónapban közzétett jelentése szerint 2021 januárja és 2022 decembere között 222 tűzeset történt a rohingja táborokban, köztük 60 esetben gyújtogatás állt a tűz mögött.
2021 márciusában legalább 15 ember meghalt, és mintegy 50 ezren kényszerültek lakóhelyüket elhagyni, miután hatalmas tűzvész pusztított a település egyik táborában. A menekülttáborban, amely állítólag a világ legnagyobbja, olyan emberek élnek, akik a rohingja etnikai kisebbséggel szembeni katonai leszámolást követően menekültek el Mianmarból.
A rohingja muszlimok a nagyrészt buddhista Mianmarban élnek, ahol generációk óta üldöztetésnek vannak kitéve. A Bangladesbe menekülő rohingják legutóbbi kivonulása 2017 augusztusában kezdődött, miután a mianmari hadsereg brutálisan megtorolta, hogy egy rohingja lázadócsoport támadásokat intézett több rendőrőrs ellen – közölte a BBC.

A rendőrség stricikből álló bandát leplezett le, akik a háborús övezetet vagy az ideiglenesen megszállt területeket elhagyni kényszerült lányokat és asszonyokat vontak be prostitúciós tevékenységbe Vinnicja és Kijev megyékben – közölte pénteken a korrespondent.net hírportál a Vinnicja megyei rendőrség sajtószolgálatára hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint Kirilo Docenko, a Vinnicja megyei rendőrség migrációs osztályának vezetője szerint elmondta, hogy egy 44 éves kijevi lakos, aki a szexuális szolgáltatások hálózatát szervezte, három, 23, 27 és 33 éves bűntársat vont be az illegális cselekménybe, akikre világos szerepeket osztott ki. Diszpécserekként és adminisztrátorokként dolgoztak, nőket toboroztak szexuális szolgáltatások nyújtására, különféle oldalakon hirdettek intim szolgáltatásokat. A szolgáltatások ára 2000-3000 hrivnya volt óránként, a hívásra dolgozó lányok munkafeltételeit a stricik az ügyfelekkel beszélték meg.
„A gyanúsítottak olyan lányokat és asszonyokat vontak be prostitúcióba, akik az ukrajnai háború miatt nehéz életkörülmények közé kerültek, és kénytelenek voltak elhagyni azokat a területeket, ahol konfliktus zajlik vagy ideiglenesen megszállás alá kerültek” – ismertette a rendőrtiszt.
A rendőrség a házkutatások során mobiltelefonokat, táblagépeket, bankkártyákat, SIM-kártyákat, jelentős mennyiségű készpénzt, illegálisan megszerzett jövedelemre vonatkozó adatokat tartalmazó irattervezeteket foglaltak le. Az akció során őrizetbe vették a 44 éves illegális üzletszervezőt és a 23 éves ügyintézőt. A megelőző óvintézkedés megválasztásáig vizsgálati fogdában lesznek. A másik két gyanúsított esetében az előzetes nyomozás során előkészítették a megelőző intézkedés kiválasztására irányuló bírósági kérelmet. Ha a bűnösségük beigazolódik, az illegális tevékenyég folytatói a büntető törvénykönyv 303. cikkelyének 2. részében foglaltaknak – kerítés vagy személy prostitúcióba való bevonása – megfelelően akár 7 év börtönbüntetést is kaphatnak.

Egy vietnami olajipari szolgáltató hajó 154 embert mentett ki egy süllyedő hajóról az Andamán-tengeren, majd átadta őket a mianmari haditengerészetnek – közölte az állami média.
Aktivisták megerősítették, hogy a csoport a kisebbségi rohingja muzulmánokból állt.
A Hai Duong 29 nevű hajó Szingapúrból tartott Mianmar felé, amikor szerdán a mianmari partoktól mintegy 460 kilométerre délre észrevette a bajba jutott hajót – közölte a VTC News helyi hírügynökség csütörtökön késő este.
A beszámoló szerint a hajó motorja nem működött, és víz szivárgott a hajótestbe – áll a VTC News jelentésében. Hozzátették, hogy a hajó egy órával azután süllyedt el, hogy a fedélzeten lévőket kimentették. A 154 kimentett ember közül 40 nő és 31 gyerek volt. Őket csütörtökön átadták a mianmari haditengerészetnek – áll a jelentésben. Nem volt azonban világos, hogy mi történik velük ezután.
A rohingják évek óta üldözött kisebbségnek számítanak Mianmarban, és sokan életüket kockáztatják, amikor rozoga vízi járműveken megpróbálnak eljutni a túlnyomórészt muzulmánok lakta Malajziába és Indonéziába.
Elvándorlásuk folytatódik Mianmarból és a szomszédos Bangladesben lévő menekülttáborokból. Ez a helyzet felerősödött a mianmari hadsereg 2017-es erőszakos fellépését követően. A délkelet-ázsiai országot jelenleg a hadsereg irányítja, amely 2021-ben államcsínnyel került a hatalomba.
Az ENSZ menekültügyi szervezete (UNHCR) a múlt héten azt mondta, hogy idén „drámaian megnőtt” azoknak az embereknek a száma, akik megpróbáltak átkelni az Andamán-tengeren Mianmar és Banglades között.
Idén eddig legalább 1900-an keltek át, hatszor annyian, mint 2020-ban, és idén legalább 119-en haltak meg a menekülni próbálók közül.

Egy szabrátai biztonsági forrás a Reutersnek nyilatkozva azt mondta, hogy a migránsok két helyi rivális embercsempészbanda vitájába kerülhettek.
A Moammer Kadhafi diktátor 2011-es bukása óta káosz uralta Líbia az egyik fő gyűjtőhelye az afrikai és arab országokból Európába menekülőknek, akiket embercsempészek hajókon próbálnak átjuttatni a tengeren. A migránsok jelentős részét begyűjti és hazatoloncolja az Európai Unió által támogatott líbiai parti őrség.
