A hatóságok egy új-zélandi repülőtéren nagyjából 80 millió forintot érő metamfetamint bontottak ki karácsonyi ajándékként, amit egy kanadai nő próbált elrejteni – számolt be a Foxnews.

Leszálláskor a rendőrök kihallgatták a nőt, átkutatták a táskáját, ahol több mint 22 kiló metamfetamint találtak a hópelyhes csomagolópapír alatt.
A forgalmas repülőtér azonban nem jelenti azt, hogy a vámhatóság ne összpontosítana vagy ne figyelne bárkire, aki kábítószer-kockázatot jelenthet” – írták a közleményükben.

A konténer átvizsgálásakor a rendőrök egy több tonnás ipari mágnesemelőt találtak, amelybe előzőleg körülbelül 545 kg metamfetamint rejtettek. „Ez volt az egyik legnagyobb metamfetamin-fogás Belgiumban” – közölte a szövetségi rendőrség.
A rendőrségi akció során Genkben és Brüsszelben két gyanúsítottat letartóztattak. A nyomozást átadták egy brüsszeli vizsgálóbírónak, aki megvizsgálja a bizonyítékokat, továbbá a gyanúsítottak és a drogkereskedő hálózat közötti kapcsolatokat.

Több mint 40 tonna metamfetamint foglaltak le az észak-mexikói Sonora államban – jelentették be a mexikói hatóságok hétfőn.
Fotó: EPA A mexikói haditengerészet közölte, hogy a hatóságok az északi határ menti Quiriego településen ütöttek rajta egy droglaboron, ahol összesen 41,3 ezer kilogramm metamfetamint foglaltak le. A hatóságok találtak további 12,7 ezer kilogramm metamfetamin előállításához szükséges vegyszert is.
A helyszínen több mint 200 centrifugát, kazánt és kondenzációs kamrát is lefoglaltak, amelyek a szomszédos Sinaloa államban talált, második legnagyobb metamfetamin-laborhoz képest jelentősen több kábítószer előállításához elegendőek.
A lefoglalt kábítószer majdnem a felét teszi ki Mexikóban egész évben lefoglalt mennyiségnek, és ez eddig a jelenlegi kormányzat idején talált legnagyobb droglabor.
A haditengerészet szerint a kábítószert Európába, Ázsiába és az Egyesült Államokba szánták, de Mexikónak nagy gondot okoz a belföldi fogyasztás is. A hatóságok a lefoglalt eszközöket megsemmisítették.
Korábban a legtöbb nagy metamfetamin-labort az északnyugati Sinaloa államban találták, de úgy tűnik, hogy az egyre erőszakosabbá váló Sonora vált a termelés központjává.
Az elmúlt években több jelentős drogfogásról is beszámoltak a mexikói hatóságok.
Egy évvel ezelőtt a mexikói hadsereg több mint félmillió fentaniltablettát foglalt le, nem sokkal később pedig csaknem 1400 liter folyékony metamfetamint és mintegy fél tonna metamfetamint is találtak a hatóságok.
A 2018 végén hivatalba lépett Andrés Manuel López Obrador mexikó elnök többször állította már, hogy a mexikóiak kulturálisan immunisak a drogfüggőségre.

Thaiföld történetének egyik legnagyobb kábítószerfogását hajtotta végre az ország rendőrsége a mianmari határ közelében, a hatóságok 50 millió metamfetamin tablettát foglaltak le – közölték a helyi hatóságok szerdán.
Fotó: The Associated Press A rendőrség a mianmari határ közelében, a thaiföldi fővárostól nyugatra fekvő Kancsanaburi tartomány egyik ellenőrzőpontján állított meg egy teherautót, amelyben zsákokba rejtve találták meg a drogot. A teherautó két utasát, egy nőt és egy férfit letartóztatták.
„A lefoglalt metamfetamin tabletták mennyisége rekordnak számít Thaiföldön” – közölte Jeremy Douglas, az ENSZ Kábítószer-ellenőrzési és Bűnmegelőzési Hivatalának (UNODC) regionális képviselője.
A régió ezt megelőző legnagyobb kábítószerfogása a szomszédos Laoszban történt: 2021-ben 55 millió metamfetamin tablettát foglaltak le ott a hatóságok.
„Az elmúlt években nem voltak nagyobb fogásaink itt Kancsanaburiban, ehhez fogható pedig annál kevésbé. Azonban ez nem meglepő, tekintve a lázadó milíciák és az üzérek által Észak-Mianmarban előállított rendkívül nagy mennyiséget” – mondta Douglas.
Anutin Csarnvirakul thaiföldi miniszterelnök-helyettes újságíróknak elmondta: a kábítószert korábban Thaiföld északi és északkeleti tartományaiba csempészték, de az ottani egyre fokozódó ellenőrzés és a mianmari harcok miatt célterületük a nyugati tartományok, például Kancsanaburi lett.
Mianmar térsége évtizedek óta a kábítószer-termelés délkelet-ázsiai központjának számít, mert a Thaiföld, Mianmar és Laosz hármas határa körüli „aranyháromszögben” nagy mennyiségben állítanak elő kábítószert, főleg metamfetamint és ópiumot.
Mianmarban tavaly rekordnak számító, 23 tonnányi kábítószert koboztak el a hatóságok. Az ONUDC közlése szerint az elmúlt három évben a máktermelés mértéke majdnem megduplázódott Mianmarban, termőterülete így már meghaladja a 40 ezer hektárt.
Az UNODC 2023 júniusi jelentésében arra figyelmeztetett, hogy Kelet- és Délkelet-Ázsiában ha nem is nő, de nem is csökken a metamfetamin és az egyéb kábítószerek kereskedelme. Egy másik, januári jelentésben rámutatnak, hogy a mianmari hadsereg 2021. februári erőszakos hatalomátvétele után újból virágzásnak indult az ópiumtermelés.

A Nemzeti Rendőrség munkatársai a csapi határőregység és az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU) segítségével lelepleztek egy bűnszervezetet, melynek tagjai kábítószer-kereskedéssel foglalkoztak a megye területén.
A főszervező egy 35 éves ungvári járási férfi, akinek egy 42 éves nő segédkezett. A hölgy hozta be az országba a drogot, majd átadta azt három helyi személynek, akik az eladással foglalkoztak. A bűnbanda havi bevétele körülbelül félmillió hrivnya volt.
A hölgyet az egyik határátkelőn tartóztatták le, közel 40 gramm metamfetamint találtak nála. A banda többi tagjánál házkutatást tartottak, melynek során számos tárgyi bizonyítékra bukkantak. Mindenkit előzetes letartóztatásba helyeztek, az ügyben folyik a büntetőeljárás.
