 У повідомленні зазначають, що ізраїльські військові оточили місто Джабалія вночі після отримання розвідувальних даних про бойовиків і інфраструктуру ХАМАС у цьому районі. Згодом здійснили хвилю авіаударів і артилерійських обстрілів, які спрямували на десятки об’єктів ХАМАС. Серед них склади зброї, тунелі, осередки бойовиків та інші об’єкти інфраструктури.
 В ЦАХАЛ наголосили, що операція триватиме стільки, скільки буде необхідно.
 Армія оборони Ізраїлю також оголосила, що готується евакуювати цивільне населення з усієї півночі Гази, а також збільшить площу гуманітарної зони в південній її частині.
