A Nemzeti Rendőrség felszámolt egy 56 tagú bűnbandát számolt fel, akik olyan hivatkozásokat küldtek „áldozataiknak”, melyek által megtudták azok bankkártyaadatait.
A hírt a rendőrség honlapján közölték. Elmondásuk szerint a műveletben több mint 500 munkatársuk vett részt.
A bűnözõk többféleképpen álcázták az adathalászatot: a készpénzes fizetések felajánlásától a különféle áruk, többnyire háztartási gépek eladásáig. A csalók az online vásárlási oldalakon is keresték a lehetséges áldozatokat, vevőnek adták ki magukat. A levelezést harmadik féltől származó messengerekre továbbították, ahol adathalász linkeket küldtek az áldozatoknak. A csaló oldalak bankkártyaadatok megadását ajánlották fel, állítólag azért, hogy pénzt írjanak jóvá az eladott árukért.
A bűnözők több mint 10 ezer állampolgárt vertek át, s közel 15 millió hrivnyát tulajdonítottak el.

A rendőrök őrizetbe vettek Harkiv megyében egy pedagógust és egy iskolaigazgatót, akik a településük elfoglalása után átálltak az oroszok oldalára, és orosz tanterv szerint folytatták a tanítást – közölte szerdán az rbc.ua hírportál a Nemzeti Rendőrség sajtószolgálatára hivatkozva.
A rendőrségi jelentés szerint „az oroszbarát nézeteket valló két oktatási dolgozó nyíltan támogatta az Oroszország Ukrajna elleni fellépését. A Velikoburlucki Területi Közösség településeinek elfoglalását követő első naptól kezdve együttműködtek az ellenséggel.”
Az oktatási intézmény igazgatója megszervezte az oktatási folyamatot az Oroszországi Föderáció tanterve szerint, és orosz mintájú tankönyveket kapott a megszálló hatóságoktól. Az igazgató elrendelte az összes ukrán tankönyvek megsemmisítését is. A települési tanács oktatási osztályának szakembere kampánymunkát végzett az oktatási intézmények dolgozói és a helyi lakosok körében. Elmondta az orosz propagandistáknak, hogy 2014 óta arra várt arra, hogy a régiót Oroszország elcsatolja.
A rendőrök mindkét pedagógust őrizetbe vették, és már meg is gyanúsították őket kollaboráns tevékenységgel. Az igazgatót három évig, az oktatásirányítási szakembert 12 évig terjedő szabadságvesztés fenyegeti.

Ihor Klimenko, a nemzeti rendőrség országos vezetője kijelentette, hogy február 26-ig hosszabbították meg a fokozott rendőri szolgálatot.

Az ukrán Nemzeti Rendőrség vezetője december 4-én kommentálta a fizikai leszámolást tartalmazó fenyegető leveleket, amelyeket a kárpátaljai magyarok kaptak.
December 4-én, Kárpátalján, a magyar nemzeti kisebbség civil szervezeteinek e-mail címére fenyegető levelek érkeztek, amelyben Ukrajna területének azonnali elhagyását követelték. Ellenkező esetben fizikai erőszakkal kell szembenézniük.
A fenyegetések tényét illetően a kárpátaljai rendőrségi nyomozói két büntetőeljárást indítottak Ukrajna Büntető Törvénykönyvének 161. cikkelye 1 része (A állampolgárok faji, nemzetiségi, vallási, rokkantság és egyéb okból való egyenlőségének megsértése) valamint 129. cikkelye 2. része (Gyilkossággal való fenyegetés) alapján. Az elkövetőket 5 év börtön fenyegeti. Néhány nappal korábban az interneten megjelent egy videó, amelyben egy ismeretlen férfi, arcát eltakarva, katonai egyenruhában fizikai erőszakkal fenyegette meg a kárpátaljai magyarokat. A rendőrség azonosított egy személyt, akinek valószínűleg köze van a bűncselekményhez.
„Pontosan tudjuk, hogy egy szomszédos ország állampolgára. Megállapítottuk, hogy csak a videó rögzítésekor tartózkodott Nyugat-Ukrajna területén, és a videó közzétételének napján elhagyta Ukrajnát. És egy másik érdekes tény, amelyet a rendőrségnek sikerült megállapítania: először egy szerbiai blogger YouTube csatornáján jelent meg egy provokatív videó, amelyben állítólag egy ukrán aktivista fenyegeti meg a magyar nemzeti kisebbség képviselőit egy szerb blogger YouTube csatornáján jelent meg. És miután a videó elterjedt Ukrajnában, törölte azt.”
Ukrajna Nemzeti Rendőrségének vezetője kihangsúlyozta, hogy a december 4-én kapott e-mailek és a néhány nappal ezelőtt közzétett provokatív videó egyazon láncnak a láncszemei. És lehetséges, hogy ebben a történetben van egy külföldi „nyom”.
