Egy öngyilkos merénylő péntek este felrobbantotta magát a szálloda bejáratánál, négy társa pedig lövöldözni kezdett a tengerparton tartózkodókra és megpróbálta megrohamozni a szállodát.
A támadók és a rendőrök között tűzpárbaj alakult ki, amely szombat kora reggelig tartott. Az öt támadó meghalt.
A Lido Beach a mogadishui lakosok kedvenc hétvégi pihenőhelye. A lövöldözés miatt pánik tört ki a hotelben, és a strandról is pánikszerűen menekültek az emberek. Az öngyilkos merényletet a város központjában található bankban követte el egy férfi. Eddig egyetlen szélsőséges szervezet sem vállalta magára a merényletet.
Az öngyilkos egy bankban robbantotta fel magát, ahol az afgán kormány alkalmazottai sorban álltak, hogy átvegyék a fizetésüket.
Az általános biztonsági helyzet Afganisztánban javult, de mióta a tálibok a külföldi csapatok teljes kivonásával 2021-ben teljes ellenőrzést szereztek az országban, évente több tucat robbantás és öngyilkos merénylet történik.

Iszlamista lázadók öngyilkos támadásban megöltek hét katonát Pakisztán északnyugati részén, Hajber-Pahtunhva tartományban – közölte szombaton a hadsereg.
A támadást a korai órákban hajtotta végre hat terrorista egy katonai tábor ellen, mind a hatan meghaltak – tette hozzá a hadsereg sajtószolgálata (ISPR).
Aszif Ali Zardari pakisztáni államfő és Sehbaz Saríf miniszterelnök szigorúan elítélte a merényletet, és mártíroknak nevezte a megölt katonákat.
„Miután a csapataink meghiúsították a behatolási kísérletet, a terroristák robbanóanyaggal megrakott járművel hajtottak a tábornak, ezt követően több öngyilkos robbantást hajtottak végre, amitől összeomlott egy épületrész” – írta az ISPR.
A pakisztáni kormány és a biztonsági erők beszámoltak arról, hogy a lázadók az utóbbi hónapokban több támadást követtek el, mint korábban, a legtöbb esetben a Tehrík-i-Talibán Pakisztán (TTP) nevű csoport.
A TTP a kabuli kormánytól független, de szövetségese az afganisztáni táliboknak, akik 2021 augusztusában magukhoz ragadták ott a hatalmat, miután az amerikai és NATO-erők kivonultak az országból.
A pakisztáni tisztségviselők szerint a lázadók afgán területről indítják támadásaikat, de Kabul tagadja, hogy tudna ezek előkészületéről.

Polgári és katonai célpontok ellen készült öngyilkos merényletre az a három palesztin férfi, akit az olasz terrorizmusellenes hatóságok letartóztattak – jelentette be Matteo Piantedosi belügyminiszter hétfőn.
Az Olaszországban élő palesztinok öngyilkos merényleteket terveztek polgári és katonai objektumok ellen külföldön. A közösségi oldalakon pedig híveket toboroztak, terroristacsoportokat éltettek és már elkövetett merényleteket ünnepeltek meg.
A három férfit a közép-olaszországi L’Aquila városában fogták el. Mint kiderült, menekültként humanitárius okokból kiadott tartózkodási engedéllyel éltek Olaszországban már 2017 óta.
Nemzetközi terrorista tevékenység és a demokratikus rend megdöntésére irányuló cselekmények vádjával tartóztatta le őket L’Aquila rendőrsége, az államügyészi hivatal, valamint a maffia- és terrorizmusellenes nyomozó igazgatóság (Digos) egy közös akció keretében. Január utolsó napjaiban vették őket őrizetbe, de a hatóságok csak most hozták nyilvánosságra.
Matteo Piantedosi belügyminiszter hétfőn hangsúlyozta, hogy veszélyes személyeket fogtak el. Kiemelte, hogy a hatóságok tüzetes megelőzési és ellenőrzési munkájának köszönhetően sikerült azonosítani és letartóztatni a három férfit.
Izrael az egyik 37 éves palesztin férfi, Anan Yaeesh kiadatását kérte, akit az izraeli hatóságok azzal vádolnak, hogy a Tulkram Brigád palesztin fegyveres csoport gyorsbeavatkozású egységének egyik finanszírozója.
A palesztin férfi olasz védőügyvédei fellebbezéssel éltek, mert szerintük Izraelben védencüket embertelen és megalázó bánásmódban részesíthetik, és nem kizárt, hogy kínzásnak is alávetik.
A 2022 óta tevékeny Tulkram Brigád az ismertebb al-Aksza Mártírjainak Brigádja szervezetből nőtte ki magát. Utóbbit az Európai Unió 2023-ban terrorszervezetnek nyilvánította.

A török belügyminisztérium közlése szerint két öngyilkos terrorista támadta meg a tárca épületét, az egyiket ártalmatlanították, de a másik felrobbantotta magát.
Két rendőr könnyebben megsérült a belügyiminisztérium bejárata közelében végrehajtott támadásban – közölte Ali Yerlikaya török belügyiminiszter az X (korábban Twitter – a szerk.) közösségi platformon.
A televíziós felvételeken különleges bombakereső egységeket lehetett látni, amint egy, a parlament és a minisztériumok közelében parkoló gépkocsit vizsgálnak át, amelynek közelében egy rakétavető feküdt az úttesten.
Egyelőre nem közöltek további információt az elkövetőkről, de az elmúlt években kurd és szélsőbaloldali csoportok, valamint az Iszlám Állam nevű terrorista szervezet tagjai is követtek el halálos terrortámadásokat Törökországban.
