Ez sem Amerikában, hanem Romániában történt.
Alig veszett a feledés homályába a legutóbbi rendőri brutalitás okozta haláleset emléke, máris újabb borzolja a kedélyeket Romániában. A hivatalos rendőri tájékoztatás szerint a pitești rendőrség járőrcsapata egy tűzesetnél biztosította a helyszínt, amikor egy teraszon italozó, részeg férfi megtagadta a távozást. A rendőrök meg akarták bilincselni, de a 63 éves férfi ellenszegült.
Arra persze nem tér ki a szűkszavú rendőrségi közlemény, mindez miként fajult odáig, hogy az illetőnek leállt a szíve, csak arról számolnak be, hogy mentőt hívtak hozzá, de a férfi életét vesztette. Az esetről tájékoztatták az ügyészséget.
A helyi sajtó birtokába került felvételből kiderül, hogy a szemmel láthatóan ittas férfi egy vendégekkel teli terasz mellett akadályozta a rendőrök és a tűzoltók munkáját. Többször nyugalomra intették, mindhiába. Az egyik rendőr hirtelen mozdulattal, erőteljesen a földhöz vágta, közben négy-öt rendőr is rátérdepelt, hogy a földön tartsák.
Az ügyben Lucian Bode belügyminiszter is megszólalt, tragédiának nevezve minden olyan esetet, amikor egy rendőri beavatkozás során valaki meghal. Azt mondta, mindig is azt kérte a beosztottjaitól, hogy nyugalommal és felelősséggel járjanak el hasonló esetekben.
Az ügy kivizsgálását átadták az ügyészségnek, mely bántalmazó magatartás és gondatlanságból elkövetett emberölés miatt indított eljárást.

A Minneapolisban zajló tárgyalás időpontjának elhalasztását és helyszínének megváltoztatását kérte indítványában hétfőn Eric Nelson, az afroamerikai George Floyd halálának okozásával megvádolt korábbi rendőr ügyvédje.
Az amerikai sajtó szerint Nelson azzal indokolta kérését: „komolyan aggódik” amiatt, hogy a néhány napja bejelentett 27 millió dolláros kártérítési megállapodás, amelyet Minneapolis városa kötött George Floyd családjával, befolyásolja az esküdtszéket.
„Megdöbbentő az a tény, hogy mindez az esküdtszék tagjainak kiválasztása közben történt. Kinek az ötlete volt, hogy nyilvánosságra hozzák ezt az információt?” – tette fel a kérdést az ügyvéd. Eric Nelson arra kérte Peter A. Cahillt, az ügy bíráját, hogy hívja vissza a már kiválasztott esküdteket, és kérdezzék meg őket arról, hogy olvasták-e a kártérítési egyezségről szóló híreket, valamint továbbra is pártatlanok tudnak-e maradni. Cahill nem döntött azonnal a védelem kérelméről, de egyetértett azzal, hogy a fejlemények „aggályosak”.
Nelson kritikát fogalmazott meg a minneapolisi városi tanács tagjaival és Jacob Frey polgármesterrel szemben is, arra utalva, hogy a megállapodás mostani bejelentésével szándékukban állt a közvélemény befolyásolása. „Ez mélységesen zavaró a védelem szempontjából, mert végső soron ennek a rendszernek a célja a tisztességes eljárás biztosítása. És ez így nem igazságos” – mondta az ügyvéd. Az ügyben eljáró bíró kijelentette: „Szeretném, ha a város tisztviselői nem beszélnének ennyit az ügyről.”
Eddig a tizenkettőből kilenc esküdtet választott ki a bíróság, közülük kettőt hétfőn. Az esküdtszék tagjainak kiválasztására azonnal hatást gyakorolt a kártérítés hírének megjelenése. Hétfőn rögtön az első esküdtjelölt azt mondta: bár tudomásul vette a bíróság kérését, hogy kerülje el a híreket, de véletlenül hallott a rádióban a 27 millió dolláros kártérítésről.
Derek Chauvin – a George Floyd halálának okozásával vádolt korábbi rendőr – pere múlt hétfőn kezdődött az Egyesült Államokban. Chauvin-t gondatlanságból elkövetett emberöléssel, hirtelen felindulásból elkövetett emberöléssel és gyilkossággal is vádolják. Ha bűnösnek találják, akár 40 év szabadságvesztésre is számíthat Minnesota államban.
Tavaly május 25-én a minnesotai Minneapolisban a rendőrök elő akarták állítani a 46 éves George Floydot, miután bejelentést kaptak, hogy a férfi hamis pénzzel akart fizetni. Az intézkedés során Floyd nem akart eleget tenni a rendőri felszólításnak, ezért lefogták, és a földre teperték. Chauvin ezt követően a földön fekvő Floyd nyakán térdelt nyolc percen keresztül. A férfi nem sokkal később meghalt. A rendőrök testkamera-felvételeiből kiderült: Floyd már az intézkedés előtt rosszul volt. A halottkémi jelentés szerint halálát az okozta, hogy a nyakán térdeltek, de szívbeteg és koronavírus-fertőzött is volt. Ezenkívül kábítószereket – a többi között metamfetamint – találtak a szervezetében.
A tavalyi incidens tüntetések sorozatát váltotta ki az Egyesült Államokban és a világ számos országában a rendőri erőszakkal, valamint a fajgyűlölettel szemben. A négy intézkedő rendőrt elbocsátották, Chauvin három kollégája ellen bűnpártolás miatt emeltek vádat. Esetükben elkülönítve folytatják le a pert, amely augusztus 23-án kezdődik.

Rejtélyes gyilkossági ügy tartja lázban Londont. A brit fővárosban egy 33 éves nő tűnt el a múlt héten, a gyanú szerint Sarah Everardot egy rendőr gyilkolta meg. Azóta politikusok és nőjogi mozgalmak kapták fel az esetet, de az ügy a járványügyi korlátozások elleni frusztrációt is táplálja. A heves társadalmi reakció miatt Boris Johnson kormányfő is többször megszólalt.
Teljes gőzzel, több száz rendőr bevonásával nyomoznak a londoni hatóságok egy múlt héten eltűnt, majd különös kegyetlenséggel meggyilkolt nő ügyében. A 33 éves Sarah Everard március 3-án, este fél 10-kor hazafelé tartott, majd rejtélyes körülmények között eltűnt. Azóta felgyorsultak az események a brit fővárosban. A holttest maradványait szerdán azonosították a hatóságok, ezzel egy időben letartóztattak egy rendőrt Everard meggyilkolásával. A hétvégére az ügy politikai színezetet kapott: civil szervezetek a nők elleni erőszakra hívnák fel a figyelmet a gyilkossággal kapcsolatban, a járvány miatt azonban a hatóságok nem engedélyezték a gyászszertartás megtartását.
„Emlékeztetnünk kell az embereket arra, hogy a járványnak nincs vége, és be kell tartanunk a korlátozásokat” – közölte péntek éjjel a Downing Street szóvivője. Boris Johnson miniszterelnök személyesen is többször reagált az ügyre, újságírói kérdésre elmondta: a gyászszertartás megtiltása a rendőrség operatív működésének feltételeit biztosítja.
„Mint mindenki mást, engem is megrázott, amit a londoni rendőrség Sarah Everard ügyében feltárt. Biztos vagyok benne, hogy az egész ország részvétet vállal a barátokkal és a családdal, osztozik fájdalmukban és gyászukban. Azt is teljesen megértem, hogy az ügy miért váltott ki heves érzelmeket a nők biztonságával, a közbiztonsággal kapcsolatban. Szeretném megismételni, amit Priti Patel belügyminiszter korábban elmondott, miszerint egyetlen nőnek sem lenne szabad félnie az utcákon”– fogalmazott Boris Johnson.
Az Everard-ügy az elmúlt időszak brit politikai vitájának középpontjába került. Az ugandai–indiai származású belügyminiszternő, Priti Patel már az ellenzéki vádakra reagálva lépett fel a nőket ért erőszak ellen. Az elmúlt napokban a Munkáspárt női egyenjogúságért felelős politikusai, Marsha De Cordova és Jess Phillips mellett feminista szervezetek, újságírónők és közírók emelték fel a hangjukat a brit közbiztonság hiányosságai miatt. Mindez kellemetlen helyzetbe hozta Boris Johnson kormányát, amit tetézett a szombaton esedékes, politikai színezetet kapott gyászszertartás megtartásának betiltása.
Mindez persze megerősíti a közvéleményben élő gyanút, miszerint az egyenruhások a színfalak mögött összezárnak. Everard meggyilkolásával ugyanis egy londoni rendőrt, értesülések szerint a 48 éves Wayne Couzenst gyanúsítják. Couzens 2018-ban csatlakozott a rendőrséghez, diplomáciai és kormányépületek védelmét látta el. A családos férfi korábban autószerelőként dolgozott, a brit bulvársajtóban megszólaló ismerősök szerint érthetetlen, hogy az üggyel bármilyen kapcsolata van.
A férfi kertjét a rendőrség felásta, Everard holttestét a háztól nagyjából 30 mérföldre fekvő erdőben találták meg.
A hivatalos közlemény szerint egy harmincas éveiben járó nőt bűnrészességgel gyanúsítanak, a gyilkosság indítéka azonban egyik személy esetében sem ismert. Couzens mindenesetre a jelek szerint menekülne a felelősségre vonás elől. A férfi a letartóztatását követően kétszer is kórházi ellátásra szorult, miután magáncellájában súlyos fejsérüléseket szenvedett.

Hétfőn megkezdődhet annak a rendőrnek a tárgyalása, akit George Floyd meggyilkolásával vádolnak – írja a deadline.com.
Minnepolisban már szombaton kisebb demonstrációk kezdődtek a városi bíróság épülete előtt.
A rendőr, Derek Chauvint másodfokú gyilkosság vádja miatt áll a bíróság elé.
A tárgyalás megkezdését viszont egy dolog még késleltetheti. A tagállami fellebviteli bíróság ugyanis elrendelte, hogy vizsgálják felül azt a döntést, amelynek értelmében korábban a gyilkosság miatti harmad fokú vádat ejtették a rendőrrel szemben, ennek pedig még a tárgyalás kezdete előtt meg kell történnie.
Az utóbbi esetben Chauvin akár 25 évnyi letöltendő büntetést is kaphatna.
Rajta kívül három rendőrtársát is azzal vádolják, hogy mulasztást követtek el – és ezáltal asszisztáltak az emberöléshez – amikor nem akadályozták meg George Floyd halálát. Az ő tárgyalásukra azonban csak nyáron kerül majd sor.
A mostani tárgyalást az amerikai Court TV élőben fogja közvetíteni, az előrejelzések szerint így ez lehet majd az Egyesült Államok történetének egyik legjelentősebb médiafigyelemre igényt tartó pere.
George Floyd tavaly májusi halála után indult útjára a Black Lives Matter mozgolom (BLM), amely a feketék elleni diszkrimináció felszámolását tűzte ki céljául.

A helyi média riportjában azt lehetett látni, amint a rendőrök gumilövedékeket és könnygázt vetnek be a békésén demonstráló tömeggel szemben, akik Formosa városában gyűltek össze, hogy kifejezzék nemtetszésüket a kormány korlátozó intézkedései kapcsán.
A Reuters hírügynökség értesülései szerint az ENSZ emberi jogi főbiztosa aggályosnak tartotta a hatóságok fellépését, elmondása alapján az argentin rendőrök válogatás nélkül csaptak le a tüntetőkre, melynek következtében többen megsérültek és jogtalanul kerültek előzetes letartóztatásba.
Az argentin és amerikai jogvédő szervezetek szintén elfogadhatatlannak tartották a tüntetőkkel szembeni intézkedéseket, Twitter-bejegyzéseikben azt írták, hogy a gumilövedékek és könnygáz bevetése, valamint az újságírók és demonstrálók folyamatos, alaptalan és indokolatlan ütlegelése szembemegy az alapvető normákkal.
Alberto Fernandez elnök kabinetirodájának vezetője, Santiago Cafiero a vádakra reagálva csupán annyit írt ki hivatalos Twitter-fiókjára, hogy az államnak garantálnia kell a lakosok biztonságát és szabad véleménynyilvánítását, az erőszak pedig sosem megoldás.

Négy rendőr ellen indított eljárást a párizsi ügyészség egy fekete bőrű zenei producernek a bántalmazása miatt, ketten előzetes letartóztatásba, ketten pedig rendőri felügyelet alá kerültek – közölte hétfőn a vádhatóság. A feltételezett túlkapási eset miatt ismét fellángolt a közéleti vita a rendőri erőszakról és rasszizmusról Franciaországban.
A négy megvádolt rendőr közül három ellen hatósági személy által elkövetett szándékos erőszak és a rendőrségi jegyzőkönyv meghamisításának gyanújával indított vizsgálatot a vizsgálóbíró. Ők láthatók a Loopsider portálon közzétett, nagy visszhangot kiváltó felvételen, amelyen Michel Zecler zenei producert a stúdiójának bejáratánál rugdossák és ütlegelik. Egy negyedik rendőr ellen azért indult eljárás hatósági személy által elkövetett szándékos erőszak gyanújával, mert könnygázt dobott a stúdióba, miután a társai kijöttek az épületből. A három rendőr azért hagyta abban a producer ütlegelését, mert az alagsorból kilenc ember jött fel, amikor hallották a dulakodást.
Az ügyészség a három bántalmazó rendőr előzetes letartóztatásba helyezését indítványozta, de a vizsgálóbíró végül csak kettő esetében tartotta ezt indokoltak. A másik két rendőr szabadlábon védekezhet, de rendőri felügyelet alá kerültek. Nagyon ritka Franciaországban, hogy rendőrök előzetes letartóztatásba kerülnek. Az ügyészség szerint erre azért volt szükség, hogy ne tudjanak egymás között kommunikálni, illetve nyomás gyakorolni a tanúkra.
A kihallgatásukon a három rendőr beismerte, hogy nem volt indokolt a producer megverése. Tettüket a félelemmel indokolták az ügyészég szerint, azt állítva, hogy pánikba estek, amikor beszorultak a stúdió bejárata mögé Zeclerrel, aki szerintük ellenállt az igazoltatáskor. Azt viszont tagadták, hogy „mocskos négernek” nevezték őt, ahogy pedig a tanúk állítják, és azt sem ismerték el, hogy hazugságokat írtak a jegyzőkönyvbe.
Michel Zeclert eredetileg azért állították meg a rendőrök az utcán, mert nem viselte a közterületen kötelező maszkot, amikor kiszállt a stúdió előtt a gépkocsijából.
Emmanuel Macron államfő megdöbbentőnek nevezte a történteket, s csütörtök este hivatalába rendelte a rendőrök felfüggesztését kezdeményező Gerald Darmanin belügyminisztert, s „nagyon egyértelmű szankciók” foganatosítására kérte. A megbeszélést követően a tárcavezető a France2 köztévében a bántalmazásban részt vett négy rendőrről azt mondta, hogy „besározták a köztársasági egyenruhát”.
Az eset felerősítette az ellenzéki és szakmai érveket azon készülő törvényjavaslat ellen, amely alapján a rendőrség tagjairól munkájuk elvégzése közben készült képek, felvételek közzétételét a hatóságok akár 45 ezer eurós bírsággal és egy év szabadságvesztéssel is büntethetik.
Szombaton hetven francia nagyvárosban a belügyminisztérium szerint több mint százezren, a szervezők szerint félmillióan tüntettek a vitatott módosítás ellen. Párizsban a felvonulást anarchista rendbontók próbálták megzavarni, az összecsapásokban 98 rendőr megsérült.

A kentuckyi Louisville mellett több más amerikai városban is tiltakozó megmozdulások voltak a Breonna Taylor-ügy miatt csütörtökön.
Annak ellenére, hogy a kentuckyi Louisville polgármestere kijárási tilalmat rendelt el helyi idő szerint este kilenc órától, a városban csütörtökön este is folytatódtak a megmozdulások. Tüntetések voltak az északnyugati Washington államban fekvő Seattle városában, az oregoni Portlandben, a pennsylvaniai Philadelphiában, New Yorkban, a georgiai Atlantában és a szövetségi fővárosban, Washingtonban és Los Angelesben is.
Az erőszakba torkolló tüntetések szerdán délután törtek ki, miután Daniel Cameron, Kentucky főállamügyésze sajtókonferencián ismertette, hogy a márciusban, rendőri intézkedés közben Louisville-ben lelőtt 26 éves afroamerikai Breonna Taylor ellen eljáró három rendőr közül csak az egyikük, Brett Hankison ellen emelnek vádat, és nem is gyilkosság, hanem gondatlan veszélyeztetés miatt. A vádesküdtszék a bizonyítékok alapján úgy döntött: a rendőrök lövései indokoltak voltak, mert a Taylor lakásán házkutatásra megjelenő rendőrökre Taylor barátja rálőtt, az egyiküket meg is sebesítette, és ők önvédelemből viszonozták a tüzet. Hat lövést adtak le Taylorra, aki a helyszínen meghalt. Barátja, Kenneth Walker ellen gyilkossági kísérlet miatt emeltek vádat.
Louisville-ben a tüntetők gyújtogattak és barikádokat emeltek, s még szerdán két rendőrt meglőttek. A feltételezett elkövetőt letartóztatták, csütörtökön vádat is emeltek ellene. A rendőrség közlése szerint eddig 127 embert vettek őrizetbe.
A The Wall Street Journal című lap helyszíni tudósítása szerint csütörtök éjjel a randalírozók ablakokat törtek be, fosztogattak. Robert Schroeder ügyvivő rendőrfőnök 16 helyszínen elkövetett fosztogatásról számolt be.
Seattle-ben a tüntetők a rendőrség épületét vették körbe, és robbanószerkezetet dobtak a bejáratra. Üvegekkel és kövekkel támadtak neki a rendőröknek. Több rendőr megsebesült, 13 tüntetőt letartóztattak. Portlandben – ahol lényegében hónapok óta folyamatosak a megmozdulások – „Breonna Taylor élete számít!” feliratú táblákkal vonultak a tüntetők. Atlantában szintén rendőrőrsöt és rendőrautókat támadtak meg, többeket letartóztattak, miután a rendőrök többszöri felszólítása ellenére sem oszlott fel a randalírozó tömeg.

A wisconsini Kenoshában kedden folytatódtak az erőszakos tüntetések és a gyújtogatások, amelyek vasárnap kezdődtek, miután a rendőrök hátba lőttek egy afroamerikai férfit.
A megmozdulásokat és az erőszakot az éjszakai kijárási tilalom sem csökkentette. A Michigan-tó délnyugati részénél fekvő városban az afroamerikaiak üzleti negyedét csaknem teljesen lángba borították, boltokat fosztottak ki és járókelőket támadtak meg. A tüntetők ugyanazt skandálták, amit a Minneapolisban május végén rendőri intézkedés közben meghalt George Floyd halála utáni tüntetéseken „nincs igazság, nincs béke!”.
A zavargások vasárnap este kezdődtek, miután a városban két rendőr egyelőre tisztázatlan körülmények között többször hátba lőtték Jacob Blake 29 éves afroamerikai férfit. Blake-et még vasárnap megoperálták, a kórház jelentése szerint állapota stabil. A családja kedden arról számolt be a sajtónak, hogy a férfi deréktól lefelé megbénult.
A rendőröket azonnal felfüggesztették és kényszerszabadságra küldték és megkezdődött az ügy kivizsgálása is. Kenoshában a rendőröknek nincs testkamerájuk. A lövöldözésről nyilvánosságra került videót egy járókelő készítette a mobiltelefonjával.
Kenoshában vasárnaptól minden este kijárási tilalmat rendeltek el, és Tony Evers, Wisconsin állam demokrata párti kormányzója a városba vezényelte a Nemzeti Gárdát is.
A Gárda és a rendőrség tagjai füstbombákkal és gumilövedékekkel próbálták meg oszlatni a tüntetőket. A Black Lives Matter (BLM, Fekete életek számítanak) mozgalom helyi vezetője, Clyde McLemore kedden újságíróknak azt nyilatkozta: a demonstrációt addig folytatják, amíg a rendőröket bíróság elé nem állítják.
A kenoshai zavargások nyomán ismét tüntetések kezdődtek Wisconsin több városában, Minneapolisban, New Yorkban és szövetségi fővárosban, Washingtonban is.

Erőszakossá fajuló tüntetések voltak helyi idő szerint vasárnap este Wisconsin amerikai szövetségi állam Kenosha nevű városában, miután rendőrök több lövéssel meglőttek egy fekete férfit.
A rendőrség kijárási tilalom bevezetésével vetett véget a tüntetéseknek. A férfit súlyos állapotban szállították kórházba a helyi média jelentései szerint. Az áldozatot Jacob Blake néven azonosította Tony Evers wisconsini kormányzó.
„Tiltakozunk amiatt, ha a hatóságok túlzott erőszakot alkalmaznak a feketékkel szemben Wisconsinban, és helytelenítjük az indulatok elszabadulását” – írta a kormányzó közleményében.
A rendőröket egy családon belüli konfliktushoz hívták ki. A kenoshai rendőrkapitányság közleménye szerint a meglőtt férfit ők maguk szállították kórházba, de magyarázat egyelőre nincs arra, hogy mi késztette őket fegyverhasználatra.
Az esetet az állam igazságügyi minisztériuma fogja kivizsgálni, amely közölte, hogy az érintett rendőröket ideiglenesen felmentették a munkavégzés alól.
A közösségi médiában feltöltött egyik videó tanúsága szerint Blake egy autóhoz tartott, mögötte, illetve az utca másik oldalán pedig két vagy több rendőr állt, majd amikor kinyitotta az autó ajtaját, és behajolt a kocsiba, egy vagy több rendőr több lövést leadott az autóra, illetve őrá.
Több médium tudósítása szerint az eset után tiltakozó tömeg gyűlt össze a helyszínen, és tüzeket gyújtott. Később pedig másutt is voltak erőszakossá fajuló tüntetések, egyes résztvevők tégladarabokkal és gyújtópalackokkal dobálták a rendőröket, és egy rendőrt megsebesítettek. A rendőrség este 7 órakor kijárási tilalommal vetett véget ezeknek.

Másfél év börtönbüntetésre ítéltek felfüggesztve egy francia rendőrt Strasbourgban, amiért 2019 januárban gumibottal bántalmazott egy sárgamellényes tüntetőt – közölték kedden igazságügyi források.
A rendőrtől öt évre bevonták a fegyverviselési engedélyét, és büntetett előéletűnek számít mostantól. A rendőrségi felügyeleti szervének jelentése szerint a rendőr úgy ütött meg gumibottal egy tüntetőt, hogy sem az, sem egy másik tüntető közvetlenül nem fenyegette meg.
Az incidens 2019. január 12-én Strasbourg belvárosában történt, a kormányellenes sárgamellényes tüntetők egyik megmozdulásán. A sértett egy 62 éves nő, akinél semmilyen fegyver nem volt, s az ütés miatt több öltéssel össze kellett varrni a felrepedt fejbőrét. Az ügyészség szerint a 47 éves, a felettesei szerint eddig jól dolgozó rendőr „teljesen aránytalan erőszakot” alkalmazott. A férfi a bíróság előtt a tettét a stresszel magyarázta. Elismerte, hogy törvénytelen módon lépett fel, azt is elismerte, hogy gumibotot alkalmazott, de többre nem emlékezett. Az incidensről készült felvételek szerint a férfi két ütés mért a tüntetőre, és az is látható, hogy kétszer a földbe rúg.
Az ítélettel párhuzamosan Párizsban négy másik rendőrt is meggyanúsítottak azzal, hogy sárgamellényeseket bántalmaztak 2018 decemberében. Őket is azzal vádolják, hogy gumibottal ütöttek meg tüntetőket, akik közül többen a földön feküdtek egy gyorsétteremben. A jelenetet újságírók kamerákkal rögzítették. Valamennyiük ellen hivatali személy által szándékosan elkövetett erőszak a vád. Szabadon engedték őket, de rendőrségi felügyelet alá kerültek. A rendőrök meggyanúsítására azután került sor, hogy az elmúlt hetekben az amerikai tiltakozások nyomán a francia nagyvárosokban sorozatossá váltak a rendőri brutalitás elleni tüntetések.
