Mianmarban jelentősen emelkedett a Jagi szupertájfun okozta áradások és villámárvizek halottjainak száma, az állami televízió keddi beszámolója szerint már 226-an meghaltak, 77-en pedig eltűntek.
Az ENSZ Humanitárius Ügyek Koordinációs Hivatala (UNOCHA) szerint Mianmarban 631 ezer embert érintettek az áradások. A hivatalos adatok szerint a hónap elején Délkelet-Ázsiát sújtó Jagi szupertájfunt követő áradások és földcsuszamlások összesen több mint 500 ember halálát okozták Mianmarban, Vietnámban, Laoszban és Thaiföldön.
Az MRTV helyi adó szerint az áradások csaknem 260 ezer hektárnyi rizsföldet és más termést is elpusztítottak az országban, 26 700 lakóházat megrongáltak.
Kilenc régióban csaknem 400 segélytábort nyitottak. Az UNOCHA, amely arról számolt be, hogy sürgős szükség van élelmiszerre, ivóvízre, menedékre és ruházatra, azt közölte,
a kommunikációs vonalak leálltak, az utakat víz lepte el és hidak rongálódtak meg, ami súlyosan akadályozza a segélyezési erőfeszítéseket.
A rossz kommunikáció, különösen a távoli területekkel, szintén megnehezíti az esetleges áldozatokról szóló információ gyűjtését. Az országot 2011-ben és 2015-ben súlyos áradások sújtották, amelyek mindkétszer több mint 100 ember halálát okozták, míg 2008-ban a Nargis ciklon dühöngése idején több mint 138 ezer halt meg vagy tűnt el.
A junta vezetője, Min Aung Hlaing szombaton nemzetközi segítségre szólított fel az árvizek felszámolásához, ami kivételes lépés, mivel a burmai kormány a múltban inkább akadályozta a külföldről érkező humanitárius segélyeket. Eddig India az egyetlen ország, amely reagált, és tíz tonna segélyt küldött, többek között élelmiszereket, ruhákat és gyógyszereket. UNOCH szerint sürgősen további forrásokra van szükség.

A Yagi szupertájfun halálos áldozatainak száma immár 141-re emelkedett Vietnámban – közölte a kormány szerdán. Egyúttal arra figyelmeztettek: az árvíz miatt a Vörös-folyó vízszintje gyorsan emelkedik, és azzal fenyeget, hogy elönti a főváros, Hanoi egyes részeit.

A Yagi néven emlegetett „szupertájfun” ledöntötte a Vörös-folyót átszelő hidat, amiről 10 autó és két robogó esett a folyóba- közölte a vietnámi miniszterelnök-helyettes. Eddig három embert sikerült kimenteni a folyóból, de tizenhárom embert még mindig eltűntként keresnek.
A 375 méteres építmény egy része még mindig áll, a katonaságot pedig arra utasították, hogy a lehető leghamarabb építsenek pontonhidat.
A Yagi, idén a legerősebb vihar, ami Ázsiában pusztít, és a Vietnámba érkezése előtt 24 életet követelt Kínában és a Fülöp-szigeteken. A tájfun az elmúlt napokban kb. 203 km/órás széllel rohanta le Vietnámot.
A földcsuszamlásokban, árvizekben és viharokban legalább hatvan vietnámi vesztette eddig életét, köztük egy csecsemő is. Legalább 240 sérültről tudni, és nagyjából 1,5 millió ember maradhatott áram nélkül.

Az elmúlt tíz év legnagyobb tájfunja, a Jagi nevű szupervihar csapott le Vietnámra, miután már Kínát, Hongkongot és a Fülöp-szigeteket is érintette. A hatóságok reptereket zártak le, és tömegeket evakuáltak a veszélyeztetett területekről. A vihar fákat döntött ki, épületeket rongált meg, áramkimaradásokat okozott, és két ember életét vesztette. A hatóságok lezárták a repülőtereket, és evakuálták a legveszélyeztetettebbeket.
A tájfun, amelyet a vietnámi meteorológiai hatóságok „az elmúlt évtized egyik legerősebb tájfunjaként” jellemeztek a térségben, azután érkezett a délkelet-ázsiai országba, hogy a kínai Hainan tartományban két ember meghalt, és közel százan megsérültek – számolt be az AP hírügynökség.
A tájfun Vietnám Kvang Nin és Hajpong tengerparti tartományainál csaknem 150 kilométer per órás sebességgel tombolt – jelentette az állami média. Az erős szél kidöntött egy fát, megölve egy nőt a fővárosban, Hanoiban – közölte szombaton a helyi média.
Kvang Nin ad otthont az UNESCO világörökség részét képező Ha Long-öbölnek, amely számos magasodó mészkőszigetéről ismert. A helyi média szerint a tájfun lecsapódása előtt több száz hajóutat töröltek a népszerű helyszínen. Hajpong ipari központ, amely hatalmas gyáraknak ad otthont, köztük az Apple beszállítójának, a Pegatronnak is.
A tájfun a tartományok nagy részén áramkimaradásokat okozott.
Korábban a kormány több riasztást adott ki, és az árvíz vagy földcsuszamlás által veszélyeztetett embereket evakuálták. Négy repülőteret zártak le, köztük Hanoiban és Hajpongban. A japán hatóságok pénteken figyelmeztetést adtak ki áradásokra és földcsuszamlásokra a Sansan tájfunhoz kapcsolódó heves esőzések miatt, amelyek már Tokiót is elérték.
A tájfun csütörtökön Kjúsú szigetén érte el Japánt. Kjúsún három halálos áldozatról és mintegy 80 sérültről számoltak be a hatóságok, amelyek két embert eltűntként kezelnek. A trópusi vihar fennakadásokat okozott a közúti, vasúti és légi közlekedésben, és átmenetileg nagyobb üzemek, köztük a Toyota és a Mazda autógyár termelése is leállt.
Fukuoka utcái elnéptelenedtek, az üzletek zárva maradtak, a lakosság védett helyekre húzódott.
A Sinkanszen nagysebességű vasútvonal kjúsúi járatait már csütörtöktől felfüggesztették, pénteken pedig a Tokió és Oszaka közötti járatát is leállították. A délnyugat felől az ország középső és keleti része felé lassan, mintegy tíz kilométeres óránkénti sebességgel haladó tájfun, amelynek széllökései a Japán Meteorológiai Hivatal (IMA) közlése szerint alkalmanként a több mint száz kilométeres óránkénti sebességet is elérik, Kanagava prefektúrában már komoly áradásokat okozott, és a szomszédos Sizuoka prefektúrában is árvizekre és lehetséges földcsuszamlásokra figyelmeztették a lakosságot.

Legalább tíz ember meghalt Vietnam északi részén a héten a Prapiroon (Esőisten) tájfun okozta áradások és földcsuszamlások következtében, kilenc embert eltűntnek nyilvánítottak – közölte pénteken a vietnami katasztrófavédelmi hivatal.
A Quang Ninh tartományban kedd óta pusztító trópusi vihar özönvízszerű esőzéseket okozott az ország északi térségében, ahol 300 milliméternyi eső esett – közölte a hivatal.
A halálesetek közül hét Son La tartományban, kettő Dien Bien tartományban és egy a fővárosban, Hanoiban történt – tették hozzá.
Az állami médiában közzétett fotók tanúsága szerint a víz szinte teljesen ellepte több száz ház tetejét Dien Bien tartományban, és elárasztotta a térségben található utakat. Az árvíz elmosott 30 ezer hektárnyi termőföldet, és elpusztított közel 20 ezer szarvasmarhát és baromfit.
A heves esőzések péntekre alábbhagytak az ország északi részén, az előrejelzések szerint a következő napokban hőhullám éri el az északi területeket.

A Gaemi tájfun hatalmas felfordulást okozott és 16 emberéletet követelt a Fülöp-szigeteken – közölték szerdán a helyi hatóságok.
A heves esőzések és áradások következtében a főváros, Manila térségében bezáratták a legtöbb kormányzati épületet, illetve az iskolákat, de a helyi tőzsdén is felfüggesztették a kereskedést.
Ifjabb Ferdinand Marcos Fülöp-szigeteki elnök kormányának ezen intézkedéseivel a katasztrófavédelmi hivatal ajánlásait követte.
A Pagasa helyi meteorológiai szolgálat szerint a tájfun csak felerősítette a délnyugati monszunt, amely július 11. óta erőteljes csapadékot hozott magával.
Az ítéletidő halálos áldozatai között volt egy várandós nő és kilencéves kislánya is a hatóságok szerint. Ők Manilától délre vesztették életüket egy sárlavinában.
Tízezrek váltak fedél nélkülivé, illetve kerestek menedéket evakuációs központokban.
A tájfun szerdán éjjel elérte Tajvan keleti részét is, ahol az első jelentések szerint már két halottja és több sebesültje van. A szigeten, ahol Gaemi idén a harmadik és az utóbbi nyolc év legerősebbjének ígérkező tájfun, csütörtök délutánig felfüggesztették a vasúti közlekedést, törölték a légijáratokat és tanítási szünetet is elrendeltek.

Legalább öt ember meghalt és 531 megsérült, amikor a Gaemi tájfun iszaplavinákat, áradásokat és baleseteket okozott Tajvan szigetén – közölték csütörtökön a helyi hatóságok.
A helyi televíziók légifelvételein elöntött területek és megrongálódott autóutak, illetve kidőlt fáktól megrongálódott járművek láthatók. A hatóságok közölték, hogy helyi idő szerint csütörtök estére több mint 60 ezer háztartás maradt áram nélkül Tajvanon, a hivatalokat és az iskolákat pedig az egész szigeten bezárták, és a tajvani tőzsde sem nyitott ki.
A tájfun miatt több mint 400 belföldi és nemzetközi repülőjáratot, valamint egyes vonatjáratokat is törölni kellett; a déli kikötőváros, Kaohsziung közelében pedig csütörtök reggel elsüllyedt egy tanzániai zászló alatt közlekedő teherhajó. Személyzetéből hárman sikeresen partra úsztak, hatan viszont eltűntek. A tajvani katasztrófavédelem bejelentette, hogy a mentést a rossz időjárás miatt fel kellett függeszteniük.

A fővárosban, Manilában pedig árvizet okozott.
A tajvani központi meteorológiai szolgálat csütörtök reggeli jelentése szerint a Tajvani-szoros, majd a kínai Fucsien tartomány felé haladó tájfun veszített már az erejéből, de a lakosságot továbbra is óvatosságra intették és a heves esők miatt árvízveszélyre figyelmeztettek.

A Koinu tájfun heves esőzéssel és erős széllökésekkel érte el pénteken a dél-kínai Kuangtung tartományt, miután az elmúlt napokban végigsöpört Tajvanon.
A napokig Tajvanon tomboló 4-es kategóriájú Koinu tájfun – amely japánul kiskutyát jelent – miatt egy ember életét vesztette, több százan megsérültek és több épület, közút megrongálódott a szigeten, ahol a katasztrófavédelem már megkezdte a helyreállítási munkálatokat.
A tajvani hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint az óránként akár 212 kilométeres széllökéseket is okozó tájfun miatt csaknem 5000 ember otthona rongálódott meg, a kikötőben 70 hajó süllyedt el vagy sérült meg és két iskola épülete szinte teljesen összedőlt, a légiközlekedés pedig még mindig szünetel.
A kínai meteorológiai központ szerint több mint 300 milliméter csapadék is hullhat Kuangtung tartományra, és a harmadik legmagasabb szintű, sárga riasztást adta ki a tájfun miatt.
Kuangtungban már több kompjáratot leállítottak az óránkénti 144 kilométeres széllökésekkel tomboló vihar miatt, és figyelmeztették a turistákat hogy maradjanak távol a tengerparti üdülőhelyektől.
Szakértők szerint a tájfun péntek este Kína déli partvidéke felé veszi az irányt, ahol már erős trópusi viharrá szelídül.
Tajvant és Kína déli részét hetek óta sújtják a szélsőséges időjárási jelenségek, szeptember elején a Haikui tájfun okozott kíméletlen viharokat, földcsuszamlásokat és haláleseteket Kínában.
