Az orosz Szövetségi Biztonsági Szolgálat (FSZB) a kalinyingrádi exklávéban őrizetbe vett egy orosz állampolgárt, aki egy energetikai létesítmény ellen készült terrorcselekményt elkövetni.
Ezt csütörtökön közölte az FSZB. A szolgálat szerint a gyanúsított indítéka a jelenlegi hatalom elleni gyűlölet volt.
Az FSZB azt állította, hogy a férfi terroristák toborzásával is megpróbálkozott Kalinyingrád megyében. A lakásán házi összeszerelésű robbanószerkezetet, pokolgép előállításához szükséges anyagokat, valamint az orosz végrehajtó hatalmat és törvényhozást gyalázó irodalmat találtak csütörtökre virradóra.
A gyanúsított ellen büntetőeljárás indult.

A korábbi belügyi államtitkár a merénylettervek részleteiről nem közölt részleteket. Kiemelte, hogy „a szunnita iszlamista terrorizmus” elsődleges fenyegetettséggé vált, amit a hatóságoknak egyre nehezebb érzékelni és megelőzni. Annak a történelemtanárnak a példáját említve, akit azért fejezett le egy csecsen dzsihadista Párizs közelében a nyílt utcán októberben, mert az Mohamed-karikatúrákat mutatott a szólásszabadságról tartott óráján, Lauren Nunez kijelentette, hogy „szélsőségesen gyorsan” lesz egy radikálisból merénylő. Arra is felhívta a figyelmet, hogy a három legutóbbi franciaországi szunnita iszlamista támadásban a közös elem az volt, hogy a merénylő az „istenkáromlást” akarta megbüntetni és „bosszút akart állni a profétáért”.
A terrorizmusért felelős országos megbízott szerint a külföldről érkező fenyegetettség már „kevésbé valószínű”, jóllehet a francia titkosszolgálatok továbbra is „nagyon óvatosak” ebben a kérdésben. Laurent Nunez jelezte, hogy azoknak a terrorizmus miatt elítélteknek, akik 2021-ben szabadulnak, olyan kötelezettségeik lesznek, mint rendszeres megjelenés a rendőrségen, vagy bizonyos helyek látogatásának tilalma. A volt államtitkár szerint 60-70 ilyen ember lesz az idei évben. Megerősítette, hogy jelenleg mintegy ötszázan vannak börtönben terrorizmussal kapcsolatos bűncselekmény miatt, míg kilencszáz olyan köztörvényes bűncselekmény miatt elítélt a börtönben vált radikálissá.
Laurent Nunez elmondta, hogy 2017 óta öt szélsőjobboldali merényletet is sikerült meghiúsítani. Aggodalmát fejezte ki amiatt, hogy a fehér felsőbbrendűséget hirdető mozgalom erősödik, tagjai mintegy 1000-1500-an lehetnek. A szélsőbaloldali szélsőségesek száma 2-3000 között lehet, a koordinátor szerint a tavalyi évben mintegy 150-200 rongálását hajtottak végre, amelyek elsősorban gyújtogatások.

Az előzetes sajtóértesülésekkel ellentétben a tárgy nem jelentett veszélyt – közölte szombaton az MTI. A pályaudvaron egy, a forgalomból kiállt vasúti szerelvényen figyelt fel péntek este a takarítószemélyzet egy hátrahagyott gyanús dobozra, amelyhez nem mertek hozzányúlni, ezért értesítették a rendőrséget, amely tűzszerészekkel és bombakereső kutyákkal vonult ki a helyszínre. A rendőrség a helyszínt lezárta és átvizsgálta.
A tűzszerészek szögeket, csavarokat és petárdákban használt robbanószert találtak a gyanús tárgyban. Kora délután a Bild napilap még arról írt, hogy komoly sérüléseket szenvedtek volna az utasok, ha a robbanószerkezet működésbe lépett volna. A kölni rendőrkapitányság szombat késő délutáni közleménye szerint azonban a szerkezet csekély mennyiségű robbanószert tartalmazott, nem volt működőképes, így nem jelentett veszélyt. A bulvárlap azt is megjegyezte: kérdéses, hogy a szerkezetet valóban fel akarták-e robbantani, vagy csupán fenyegetésnek szánták a készítői. Egyes feltételezések szerint könnyen lehet, hogy a német újraegyesítés mai, 30. évfordulóján akarták működésbe hozni.
A rendőrség szemtanúkat keres, akik esetleg felfigyeltek valami szokatlanra a Gummersbach-Köln vonalon közlekedő járaton.

„Az izraeli hadsereg a szíriai rezsimet teszi felelőssé minden, a területén történt eseményért, és nem engedi meg Izrael szuverenitásának bármilyen megsértését” – szögezte le a katonai szóvivő.

Az afgán biztonsági erők végeztek az Iszlám Állam terrorszervezet egyik magas rangú vezetőjével – jelentette be vasárnap az afgán hírszerzési szolgálat (NDS) az MTI szerint.
A közlés szerint Aszadullah Orakzait – aki a terroristák egyik afganisztáni kémfőnöke volt – az ország keleti részén fekvő Dzsalalábádban ölték meg. Orakzainak több olyan Afganisztánban elkövetett merénylethez volt köze, amelyben civilek is életüket vesztették.
Az Iszlám Állam 2014-ben jelent meg Afganisztánban az iraki frontról hazatért pastu dzsihadistákkal, akik a terrorszervezet dinamikus nemzetközi terjeszkedésén dolgoztak. A terrorszervezet azonban Afganisztánban soha nem tudott olyan tartományt kihasítani magának, mint Szíriában, Irakban vagy akár Líbiában. Ez a tény részben annak köszönhető, hogy az IS ellen nem csak a kabuli kormány, az őt támogató nemzetközi erők, hanem a tálib szélsőségesek is kőkeményen felléptek. A tálibok ugyanis egyfelől veszélyes riválisként értékelték a külföldi dzsihadisták által alapított IS-alszervezetet a helyi támogatókért és önkéntesekért folytatott harcban. Másfelől pedig miután 2001-ben csúnyán megégették magukat az al-Káida támogatásával, a tálibok elutasítják az Iszlám Állam globális dzsihádra vonatkozó elképzeléseit, és életképesebbnek tartják azt, ha inkább Afganisztánra koncentrálnak.
A „Horászán tartomány“ kudarca ellenére az IS terrorszervezetként a mai napig aktív maradt. Az ENSZ adatai szerint a legtöbb merényletet a kelet-afganisztáni Nangarhar és Kunar tartományban, valamint Kabulban hajtották végre. Terrortámadásaik száma különösen 2018-ban volt magas, azóta csökken. A világszervezet nemrég kiadott jelentése szerint 2020 első fél évében az Iszlám Állam 17 civil áldozatokkal járó merényletet hajtott végre Afganisztánban, ez a szám tavaly 97 volt. Legutóbb a terrorszervezet márciusban egy elhunyt síita politikai vezető megemlékezésén, majd egy szikh templomnál hajtott végre támadást, ezekben a merényletekben legalább 55 ember halt meg.
A csökkenés annak is köszönhető, hogy az elmúlt hónapokban az afgán biztonsági erők a terrorszervezet több magas rangú tagját is elfogták, így például Aszlam Farukit, az Iszlám Állam helyi vezetőjét is.

Franciaország péntek este bejelentette, hogy megölte az al-Kaida észak-afrikai szárnyának, az Iszlám Magreb al-Kaidája (AQMI) vezetőjét, Abdelmalek Droukdelt.
A férfit a régió egyik legtapasztaltabb iszlamista harcosként tartották számon. Droukdeltre több mint hét éve vadásztak a francia fegyveres alakulatok.
A bevetésben a férfi több társát is megölték. Sokáig azt hitték, hogy Algéria északi részén, a hegyekben bújtak el, de pontos behatárolásukat nehezítette, hogy a szélsőségesek Mali, Niger, Mauritania és Algéria területén is tudtak mozogni.
Florence Parly francia védelmi miniszter szerint több mint 5200 katonájuk van a térségben, akik a helyi erőkkel együttműködve, sikeresen derítik fel és likvidálják a szélsőséges iszlamistákat. Legutóbb május 19-én Mohamed el Mrabatot fogták el, aki szintén veterán harcosnak számított az iszlamisták körében.

A nigériai hadsereg kimentett 241 embert a Boko Haram iszlamista terroristaszervezet fogságából az északkeleti Borno államban – jelentette az MTI.
A túszokat, akik közt 105 nő és 136 gyerek volt, Mudu település mellett végrehajtott akció során a hét végén szabadították ki. John Enenche, a hadsereg egyik szóvivője azt mondta, a kimentettekre jelenleg orvosok vigyáznak. A műveletben a hadsereg végzett 12 terroristával.
Borno állam északkeleti része, amely közel fekszik a Csád-tóhoz, kis szigetekkel és mocsarakkal tűzdelt, kiterjedt, katonailag nehezen ellenőrizhető terület, ahol szélsőségesek búvóhelye, kiképzőtáborai is találhatók.
Május közepén négy ország, Nigéria, Niger, Csád és Kamerun közösen csapott le a szervezetre.
Muhammadu Buhari nigériai elnök csütörtökön a műveletek fokozására szólította fel a hadsereget, nem sokkal azután, hogy ismeretlen fegyveresek szerdán több falut megtámadtak az északnyugati Sokoto államban, és legalább 70 embert meggyilkoltak. A környékbeli kórház egyik orvosa szerint az embereket egyszerűen fejbe lőtték.
Buhari kijelentette, hogy térdre fogják kényszeríteni a pszichopata gyilkosokat, akik nem tisztelik az emberi életet.
A Boko Haram és a nigériai kormány közötti konfliktusban több mint 36 ezren vesztették életüket 2009 óta Nigéria északkeleti részén, és csaknem kétmillióan váltak földönfutóvá – az utóbbi hetekben is tízezrek menekültek el a harcok elől Nigerbe. A dzsihadisták elleni harcot nehezíti, hogy a helyi kormányok is igen erőszakosan lépnek fel a helyi lakossággal szemben, a velük szövetséges milíciák is előszeretettel vetnek be gyerekkatonákat, és a rutinszerűen „dzsihadistá”-nak bélyegzett akciók is sokszor valójában inkább az etnikai konfliktusokat, a földművelők és állattartók évszázados ellentéteit, netán az egyszerű banditizmust takarják.

Venezuela bíróság elé állítja a meghiúsult partraszállási kísérlet során elfogott két amerikai állampolgárt, közölte Nicolás Maduro venezuelai elnök szerdán egy televíziós műsorban. Tetten érték őket, beismerő vallomást tettek, bűnösnek bizonyultak és most egy tisztességes eljárás keretében elítélik őket, fogalmazott Maduro.
Maduro egy videót is közzé tett, amelyen egyikük, Luke Denman azt állítja, hogy szerződést írt alá egy floridai céggel arról, hogy 100 ezer dollárért lázadókat fog kiképezni és részt vesz a támadásban is. „Venezuelaiaknak segítettem, hogy visszaszerezzék országukat” – mondta a felvételen texasi férfi.
„Itt a bizonyíték. És lesz még több is” – mutatott Maduro a videóra, amelyben Denman utalást tett arra is, hogy Donald Trump amerikai elnök áll a Jordan Goudreau egykori amerikai zöldsapkás katona vezette floridai székhelyű Silvercorp által végrehajtott akció mögött.
Egy megkérdezett szakértő szerint a különleges alakulatok katonái külön kiképzést kapnak, hogyan ássák alá a propaganda célokra – kényszerrel – készített felvételek hitelességét. Mint mondta, szerinte világos jelzés volt Denman felvételen látható furcsa szemmozgása, miután azt állította, hogy Trump Goudreau főnöke, hogy kényszerítették erre a nyilatkozatra.
Az Egyesült Államoknak „semmi köze sincs” a partraszállási kísérlethez, jelentette ki Trump kedden, illetve azzal élcelődött, hogy amennyiben tényleg Washington avatkozott volna be, úgy a dolgok másként sültek volna el.
Mike Pompeo amerikai külügyminiszter szerdán közölte, hogy minden rendelkezésre álló eszközt felhasználnak a foglyok kiszabadítása érdekében.
Maduro hétfőn jelentette be, hogy tizenhárom „terroristát” fogtak el, köztük két amerikai állampolgárt, akiket zsoldosoknak nevezett. Mint mondta, egy összeesküvésben vettek részt, amelynek célja az lett volna, hogy elmozdítsák őt a hatalomból.
A Caracastól mintegy 32 kilométerre lévő La Guaira térségében végrehajtott félresikerült partraszállásban a venezuelai hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint nyolc „terrorista zsoldossal” végeztek. Tarek William Saab venezuelai főügyész azzal vádolta meg Maduro ellenlábasát, Juan Guaidó ellenzéki vezetőt, hogy 212 millió dolláros szerződést írt alá a Silvercorp nevű céggel. Guaidó szerint a kormány ezzel az ürüggyel akar majd erőteljesebben fellépni a másként gondolkodókkal szemben.
Az AP amerikai hírügynökség hétfőn arról számolt be, hogy Jordan Goudreau, aki Irakban és Afganisztánban is szolgált, illetve Javier Nieto nyugalmazott venezuelai katonatiszt egy meg nem nevezett helyszínről videofelvételt tett közzé. Ebben azt állították, hogy ők szervezték meg a Maduro elleni puccskísérletet, a Gideon fedőnevű műveletet. A venezuelai ellenzék és az amerikai hatóságok szerint Maduro, illetve szövetségesei rendezhették meg a támadást.
A venezuelai belpolitikai válság tavaly januárban vált még súlyosabbá, azt követően, hogy Juan Guaidó Venezuela ideiglenes elnökének kiáltotta ki magát. Azóta az Egyesült Államokkal az élen számos nyugati és térségbéli ország elismerte őt ebben a tisztségében mindaddig, amíg szabad választásokat nem tartanak. Maduro ennek ellenére meg tudta őrizni a hatalmát, nem utolsósorban a venezuelai hadsereg és kulcsfontosságú szövetségesei, köztük Kína, Oroszország, Kuba és Törökország támogatásának köszönhetően.

Venezuela készültségbe helyezte hétfőn a hadsereget a „terrorista zsoldosok” meghiúsult partraszállása után, miután tizenhárom embert őrizetbe is vettek, írja az MTI.
„A fegyveres erők több mint 25 ezer tagját mozgósítottuk, hogy országunk minden egyes centiméterét megtisztítsuk a zsoldosoktól, félkatonai szervezetektől és az egyéb fenyegetésektől” – mondta a hadsereg stratégiai parancsnokságának vezetője.
Nicolás Maduro venezuelai elnök hétfőn bejelentette, hogy tizenhárom „terroristát” fogtak el, köztük két amerikai állampolgárt, akiket zsoldosoknak nevezett. Az elnök szerint egy összeesküvésben vettek részt, aminek célja az lett volna, hogy elmozdítsák őt a hatalomból.
„Rambót játszottak, hősködni akartak” – fogalmazott, de a venezuelai hatóságok előre tudtak a terveikről.
Maduro ezután az állami tévében a két amerikai útlevelét, majd az állítólagos partraszállási akciót magára vállaló Jordan Goudreau egykori amerikai zöldsapkás katona vezette floridai székhelyű Silvercorp munkatársaiként azonosította őket.
Goudreau hétfőn szintén Denman és Berry néven azonosította a venezuelai hatóságok kezére került amerikaiakat. Mint mondta, együtt szolgált velük Irakban, és Afganisztánban és részt vettek a venezuelai akcióban. Goudreau szerint a két amerikai a venezuelai biztonsági erőkkel történt vasárnapi összecsapást követően Aruba szigetén várt egy hajóra, ami üzemanyaggal segített volna nekik, hogy elhagyhassák a térséget.
Az amerikai külügyminisztérium egyelőre nem reagált az állítólagos őrizetbe vételekre, az Egyesült Államok vezetése pedig határozottan tagadta, hogy köze lett volna a történtekhez.
A venezuelai főügyész korábban a Twitteren arról számolt be, hogy a biztonsági erők hétfőn újabb nyolc embert fogtak el, akik szintén tengeri úton próbáltak bejutni az országba. Szerinte ez a csoport is zsoldosokból állt, akik kapcsolatban állhatnak a vasárnapi támadókkal. Köztük volt Antonio Sequea, a venezuelai nemzeti gárda egyik századosa is, aki egy éve részt vett egy katonai kaszárnyában kitört lázadásban Maduro ellen.
A venezuelai állami televízió hétfőn képsorokat mutatott az újabb őrizetbe vett személyekről, akik a felvételeken a földön hasaltak hátrakötött kézzel. A csoport tagjait a híradás szerint az Aragua államban található Chuao településének partjai előtt fogták el halászok, akik a venezuelai népi mozgósítási erők tagjai.
Az AP amerikai hírügynökségnek nem tudta megerősíteni független forrásból az amerikai állampolgárok elfogásáról szóló értesülést.
Diosdado Cabello vasárnap közölte Caracasban, hogy nyolc „terrorista zsoldossal” végeztek és két társukat őrizetbe vették Venezuela északi partvidékén egy inváziós kísérlet során. A támadók szerinte pirkadatkor próbáltak csónakokon bejutni Venezuelába, és sok fegyver volt náluk, és a Caracastol mintegy 32 kilométerre lévő La Guairában szálltak partra. Cabello meggyőződése szerint a háttérben az Egyesült Államok és Kolumbia áll.
