A legádázabb harcok továbbra is a Donyeck megyei Bahmut és Marjinka településeknél folytak kedden – közölte az ukrán vezérkar esti harctéri helyzetjelentésében.
A beszámolóban a kijevi katonai vezetés kiemelte, hogy a nap folyamán az orosz erők két rakétacsapást mértek Sz-300-as légvédelmi rendszerrel a Harkiv megyei Kupjanszk város központjára, valamint hat légicsapást és több mint tíz, sorozatvetős rakétatámadást más célpontokra.
Oleh Szinyehubov Harkiv megyei kormányzó a Telegramon arról tájékoztatott, hogy a Kupjanszkban eltalált helytörténeti múzeum romjai alól ki tudták emelni egy nő holttestét. Rajta kívül egy másik ember is életét vesztette ott, valamint tízen megsebesültek. A vezérkar hangsúlyozta, hogy a megsemmisített múzeumépület környékén egyetlen katonai létesítmény sincs.
A kijevi katonai vezetés jelentése szerint az orosz hadsereg változatlanul Bahmut, Marjinka és Avgyijivka településekre koncentrál a támadásban, de az ukrán erők kedden visszavertek 36 ellenséges támadást a frontnak eme szakaszain.
Olekszandr Szirszkij, az ukrán szárazföldi erők parancsnoka az Interfax-Ukrajina hírügynökségnek adott interjújában katonai szempontból azzal magyarázta Bahmut megtartásának fontosságát, hogy az orosz csapatok ne támadhassák oldalba vagy hátba az ukrán csapatokat a Luhanszk megyei Liszicsanszk, valamint Donyeck város felől.
A vezérkar jelentésében kitért még arra, hogy az ukrán légierő kedden öt csapást mért orosz katonai összpontosulásokra és egyet egy légvédelmi rendszerre, a rakéta- és tüzérségi egységek pedig eltaláltak egy orosz légvédelmi rakétarendszert és egy radarállomást.

Az ukrán hadsereg emberveszteségei az Oroszország elleni háború során alig érik el a 13 ezer főt, szemben Ursula von der Leyen európai bizottsági elnök téves csütörtöki bejelentésével a 100 ezret meghaladó számú halott ukrán katonáról – jelentette ki Mihajlo Podoljak, az Elnöki Hivatal vezetőjének tanácsadója egy televíziós műsorban, adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Podoljak a 24 Kanal televíziónak nyilatkozva elmondta: „kétségtelen, hogy Ursula asszony (az Európai Bizottság elnöke – a szerkesztő) tévedett, ez nyilvánvaló. Ezért törölték ezt a videót, eltávolították ezeket a számokat. Megvannak a vezérkar hivatalos becslései, amelyeket a legfőbb főparancsnok hangoztat. A halottak száma 10-12,5-13 ezer fő. Igen, több sebesültünk van a sérülések miatt.”
Az elnöki hivatalvezetői tanácsadó ugyanakkor hangsúlyozta, hogy az életüket vesztett civilek száma „biztosan nem 20 ezer”. Úgy vélte, ez a szám sokkal magasabb, különös tekintettel arra, hogy az oroszok által ideiglenesen elfoglalt ukrán területek felszabadítása után mennyi tömegsírt és kínzókamrát találta az ukrán fegyveres erők. „Különböző nemzetközi platformokon azt mondjuk, hogy Oroszország nem áll háborúban a hadseregünkkel, mert vereséget szenvedne. A polgári lakosságunkkal áll háborúban” – mutatott rá Mihajlo Podoljak.

A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy korábban Mihajlo Podoljak, az Elnöki Hivatal vezetőjének tanácsadója azt nyilatkozta, hogy az ukrán hadsereg veszteségei naponta 100-200 főt tesznek ki. Később Olekszij Reznyikov védelmi miniszter úgy nyilatkozott, hogy az ukrán hadsereg veszteségeinek csúcs májusban volt. Ezt követően Podoljak júliusban bejelentette, hogy június elejéhez képest háromszorosára csökkentek az ukrán fegyveres erők napi veszteségei.
