A rendőrség őrizetbe vette a hajó 44 éves kapitányát, akinek vérében alkoholt mutattak ki. Elsüllyedt egy turistákat szállító kirándulóhajó a horvátországi Split kikötőjében, miután az ittas kapitány nekivezette a járművet a partnak kikötés közben – adta hírül a HRT horvát televízió a honlapján.
A balesetben nem esett baja senkinek, de félő, hogy az elsüllyedt hajó szennyezést okozhat a kikötőben. A tűzoltóság elkerítette az incidens helyszínét, hogy elejét vegyék annak, hogy üzemanyag szivárogjon a tengerbe a hajóból. A hatóságok dolgoznak azon, hogy az elsüllyedt hajótestet mielőbb felszínre hozzák.
A Slobodna Dalmacija című horvát lap szerint a baleset egy hajóknak fenntartott, forgalmas üzemanyagtöltő-állomás közvetlen közelében történt.

A brit védelmi minisztérium is megerősítette, hogy összeütközött egy brit hadihajó, valamint egy orosz vadász-gyilkos tengeralattjáró.
A királyi haditengerészet HMS Northumberland elnevezésű hajója már 2020 végén nyomon követte az orosz járművet, amikor a 23-as típusú fregatt vontatott szonárja – hajó mögött, víz alatt húzódó, hidrofonokkal felszerelt hosszú kábel – ütközött a tengeralattjáróval.
Az incidensről videófelvétel is készült, amelyet egy Channel 5 által készített dokumentumfilmben hoztak nyilvánosságra – írja a Szabad Európa Rádió. A védelmi minisztérium korábban nem számolt be az esetről, csak most, hogy lencsevégre kapták.
A védelmi minisztérium a közleményben megerősítette, hogy a vontatott szonár valóban eltalálta az orosz tengeralattjárót. A brit médiának megküldött közleményben kiemelték: a haditengerészet folyamatosan nyomon követi a külföldi tengeralattjárókat, hogy védjék az Egyesült Királyságot.
A védelmi minisztérium egyik meg nem nevezett forrása a BBC-vel közölte, hogy a tengeralattjáró jelenlegi feltételezések szerint nem direkt ütközött neki a Northumberland szonárjának, valamint azt sem tudni, hogy az orosz tengeralattjáró.
Annyit tudni még az esetről, hogy a HMS Northumberlandnek vissza kellett térnie egy skót kikötőben, hogy kicseréljék a sérült szonárt, amely a javítást követően ismét útjának tudott indulni.

A jelentések szerint a baleset délután történt Cañar tartományban, a járművek frontálisan ütköztek egymással, a busz pedig az Andokban fekvő Cuenca nagyvárosból a tengerparti Guayaquilba tartott.
A buszon körülbelül 30 utas volt, az úton közlekedő sofőrök pedig, akik szemtanúi voltak a balesetnek, megálltak, hogy segítsenek a sérültek mentésében, néhány embert az ablakon keresztül húztak ki a roncsok közül.
A baleset miatt a rendfenntartók kénytelenek voltak lezárni a forgalmat az autópályán, jelenleg pedig a tragédia okait és annak körülményeit vizsgálják a hatóságok.

A baleset vasárnap a korai órákban történt Csiangszu tartományban, amikor egy kamion keresztülvágott az autópálya ellentétes irányba haladó sávjait elválasztó akadályon és egy éppen szembe érkező busszal ütközött össze.
Kína közbiztonsági minisztériumának közleménye szerint a csattanást követően két további kamion is felborult, amely megpróbálta elkerülni a balesetet – írja a South China Morning Post.
A kínai Hszinhua hírügynökség tudomása szerint az érintett busz éppen Sanghaj és Csiangszu közötti vonalon haladt, amikor a tragédia történt.
Egyelőre úgy tudni, legalább tizenegy ember vesztette életét a balesetben és további tizenkilenc megsérült, állapotukról azonban nem adtak ki további közleményt a hatóságok.
A kínai utakon meglehetősen magas a közúti balesetek aránya, többek között a gyorshajtás, veszélyes előzés, rosszul karbantartott utak és fáradt sofőrök miatt súlyos balesetek sem ritkák.
A Nemzeti Statisztikai Hivatal 2019-es beszámolója szerint közel 248 ezer közúti baleset történt a kínai utakon, melynek következtében legalább 63 ezer ember vesztette életét.

Összeütközött a görög haditengerészet egyik aknakereső hajója egy hatalmas portugál teherhajóval kedden kora reggel, nem messze a pireuszi kikötőtől.
A balesetben két haditengerész megsebesült, a hajó 27 fős legénységét evakuálták. A megrongálódott aknakereső hajót Pireusz kikötőjébe vontatták – adta hírül a Greek Reporter. A nyomozás már megkezdődött, hogy feltárja, ki felelős az ütközésért és a számottevő anyagi kárért.

Illegális bevándorlókat szállító furgon ütközött neki több járműnek Észak-Macedónia déli részén, a görög és a bolgár határ közelében, nyolcan megsérültek – közölte a helyi rendőrség szerdán.
Az illetékesek tájékoztatása szerint a furgon nagy sebességgel haladt, amikor egy autóval ütközött, majd belehajtott több parkoló járműbe az Észak-Macedónia délkeleti részén található Sztrumica közelében kedden.
A 15 afgán, 9 pakisztáni, 6 bangladesi és egy-egy szíriai és iraki migráns közül nyolcan megsérültek, őket kórházba szállították, a többieket a Gyevgyelijánál található befogadóközpontban helyezték el, és visszatoloncolják őket Görögországba. A 27 éves észak-macedón sofőrt embercsempészet gyanújával letartóztatták. Egy nappal korábban több mint kétszáz illegális bevándorlót fedeztek fel egy kamionban a nyugat-balkáni országban.
A 211 fős csoportot a határőrség találta meg nem messze Görögországtól egy ellenőrzés során Bogorodica település közelében.
Az észak-macedón kormány a múlt héten ismét migrációs válsághelyzetet hirdetett az ország északi és déli határszakaszán az illegális bevándorlók számának jelentős növekedése miatt. Rendkívüli állapotot és válsághelyzetet először 2015 augusztusában rendeltek el, amikor a nyugat-balkáni országba naponta tízezrével érkeztek illegális bevándorlók. Később ezt évente, félévente meghosszabbították, és még az idei év márciusában is érvényben volt, ám a koronavírus-járvány kitörésekor hatályon kívül helyezték.
