A német rendfenntartók kiderítették, hogy hét támadó szándékosan próbált verekedést provokálni négy 19 éves ukránnal. Ennek érdekében oroszbarát szlogenek kiabálásával provokálták őket. Később egy pisztollyal megütöttek az egyik ukránt, ellopták a fejhallgatóját és az óráját, majd elmenekültek.
A szövetségi rendőrség munkatársai őrizetbe vették a 16 éves oroszországi támadót, és átadták törvényes gyámjainak. A rendőrség kihallgatja a tanúkat és nyomoz az ügyben.

A Tagesspiegel című lap online kiadása szerint ugyan a környéken rendőri egységek járőröztek, de nem tudták megakadályozni a támadást.
A feszült izraeli-palesztin helyzet miatt a német rendőrség néhány nappal ezelőtt figyelmeztetést adott ki, mely szerint támadások várhatók zsidó intézmények ellen. A rendőrség figyelmeztetett arra is, hogy palesztinbarát elkövetők támadást intézhetnek a Berlinben és környékén élő „felismerhetően izraeli és zsidó személyek ellen”.

Tüzérségi támadás érte a Mianmar északi, a kínai határhoz közeli részén lévő Kacsin állam menekülttáborát, több mint harmincan meghaltak, köztük nők és gyerekek – közölték kedden helyi médiaforrások és a térségben működő aktivisták.
Khon Dzsa, a Kacsini Békehálózat nevű civil szervezet egyik munkatársa azt mondta, a Kínával szomszédos Laiza városától mintegy öt kilométerre elkövetett támadás rendkívül erős volt, a falu gyakorlatilag teljesen megsemmisült, és hozzátette, hogy a helyi kórház szerint csaknem 60 sebesültről tudni.
A támadás hétfő éjjel, néhány kilométerre az országot irányító juntával szemben álló, Laizát ellenőrző Kacsini Függetlenségi Hadsereg (KIA) nevű lázadócsoport egyik bázisánál történt.
A kínai határhoz közeli térségben nagyon sok belső menekült él.
A mianmari árnyékkormány a juntát tette felelőssé a támadásért, melyet Kjav Zav, az árnyékkormány szóvivője háborús bűncselekménynek nevezett.
„A nemzetközi közösségnek lépnie kell” – szögezte le a szóvivő, hozzátéve, hogy a kínai határhoz ilyen közel elkövetett akció arra mutat, hogy a junta a szomszédos országgal sem törődik.
A junta tagadta, hogy köze lenne a támadáshoz, Zav Min Tun, a junta szóvivője pedig azt mondta, az ügyben vizsgálatot indítottak.
„Mindig is fontos volt számunka a határ menti térségek békéje” – jelentette ki.
Az ENSZ mianmari missziója elítélte a támadást, kiemelve, hogy a belső menekültek elszállásolására szolgáló létesítmények semmilyen körülmények között nem lehetnek katonai célpontok.

Az orosz erők kazettásbomba-támadást intéztek a délkeleti Zaporizzsjai terület ellen, amelynek során egy nő meghalt, két ember pedig megsebesült – jelentette a Zaporizzsjai terület kormányzója, Jurij Malasko október 7-én, írja a The Kyiv Independent.
A kormányzó szerint szombat reggel 8 óra körül az oroszok kazettás bombákat tartalmazó rakétákat lőttek ki.

Malasko jelentése szerint a Zaporizzsjától mintegy 40 kilométerre délre fekvő Bilenke települést érte a támadás.
A kazettás bomba egy olyan fegyver, amely a levegőben szétrobbanva magából sok apró, akár több száz lőszert lök ki széles területen, hatalmas pusztítást okozva.
Az ENSZ 2008-ban betiltotta a kazettás lőszerek használatát, az erre vonatkozó egyezményhez a világ több mint 110 országa csatlakozott. Az aláírók között viszont nem szerepel az Egyesült Államok, Ukrajna, Oroszország és Kína sem.
