A hatóságok a közösségi oldalak ellenőrzésekor bukkantak rá egy videofelvételre, amelyen jól látható, hogy egy kiskorú egy puskára hasonlító tárggyal rálő egy macskára. A rendőrök azonnal nyomozni kezdtek az ügyben, és rövid időn belül sikerült is azonosítaniuk a rahói járási fiatalt.
A szülőkre adminisztratív protokollt állítottak ki, ezenkívül eljárást is indítottak annak kapcsán, hogyan került a fegyver a 12 éves kisfiúhoz.
A rendőrség arra kér mindenkit, hogy haladéktalanul reagáljon a gyermekek körében tapasztalható agresszió és kegyetlenség minden megnyilvánulására, különösen háborús időszakban. Ha szükséges, kérjenek segítséget szakemberektől, köztük fiatalkorúak ügyeiért felelős rendőröktől.

A hatóságokhoz bejelentés érkezett egy nagyrákóci nyugdíjastól, aki elmondta, hogy házából eltűnt közel 50 ezer hrivnya. A helyszínre kiérkezett az operatív csoport, akik megállapították, hogy a bűntettet kamaszok követték el. Megkérték az idős nőt, hogy adja nekik az udvarán lévő, használaton kívüli vastárgyakat. A két fiatalkorú elterelte a nyugdíjas figyelmét, a harmadik pedig bement a házba és ellopta az ott lévő 42 100 hrivnyát és 100 dollárt.
Az elkövetőket letartóztatták, az ellopott pénzt visszaszolgáltatták a károsultnak, az ügyben büntetőeljárás indult.

A bíróság hamarosan dönt a Procenkóval szemben foganatosított intézkedés módjáról. Az ügyészség azonban ragaszkodik a gyermekotthon igazgatójának őrizet alá helyezéséhez. Ha a férfi bűnössége bebizonyosodik, 10 év szabadságvesztéssel lesz sújtható.

A feltételezett elkövető egy 19 éves fiú, aki szintén fertőzött. Korábban nem ismerte az áldozatot.
A rendőrség július 16-án vette nyilvántartásba az esetet, mikor a lány családja feljelentést tett. Az ő vallomásából derült ki, hogy a nemi erőszak közben az elkövető 20 éves barátja az ajtó előtt őrködött, egy ponton pedig a mobiljával videóra vette az aktust.
Parvinder Singh, újdelhi rendőrfőnök-helyettese elmondta, a két gyanúsítottat letartóztatták, és mivel fertőzöttek, rendőri őrizet alatt egy állami kórházba szállították őket. A lányt közben egy másik kórházba vitték.
Az ügyben kiskorú elleni szexuális erőszak vádjában indult eljárás.
