Deripaska úr pedig egyike azon oligarcháknak, akiket az Egyesült Királyság kormánya szankcionált, miután Oroszország megtámadta.
A tüntetők azt mondták, hogy visszafoglalják az ukrán menekülteknek szánt kastélyt. A csoport a Londoni Makhnovisták nevet kapta Nesztor Makhno ukrán anarchista után, aki 1917-1923-ban fellázadt az orosz Fehér Hadsereg ellen.
Az egyik tüntető az erkélyen állva azt mondta az újságíróknak, hogy a kormány munkáját végzik el helyettük azzal, hogy visszaszerzik az épületet az otthonukból elmenekült menekültek számára.
A londoni rendőröknek végül erőszakot alkalmazva kellett eltávolítani a tüntetőket a kastély erkélyéről.
