A Nemzeti Gárda és a rendőrség csaknem 1000 tagja vigyáz mostantól a New York-i metróval közlekedők biztonságára. A földalatti járműveken egyre elszaporodó erőszakos bűncselekmények megállítása érdekében a város kormányzója szigorú intézkedések bevezetéséről döntött. A lakosságot megosztja az egyenruhások jelenléte és poggyászaik szúrópróba szerű ellenőrzése.
A Híradó felvételein alaposan átvizsgálják egy utas táskáját a hatóságok New Yorkban. Az ellenőrzés azonban nem a repülőtéren, hanem egy metróállomáson zajlik. A hét közepétől mindennapossá váltak az ilyen és ehhez hasonló föld alatti jelenetek a metropoliszban.
Az egyenruhások ellepték a keleti parti nagyváros metróállomásait. Ott vannak a lejáratoknál, a beengedő kapuknál, a peronokon, de még a közlekedő kocsikon is kísérik az utasokat. New York kormányzója azért rendelte ki a Nemzeti Gárda egységeit, hogy vigyázzanak az emberek biztonságára. Az elmúlt időszakban ugyanis drámaian megnőtt a föld alatti járműveken a bűncselekmények száma.
„A New York-i Nemzeti Gárda 750 tagja, valamint az állami és a helyi rendőrség további 250 embere lesz jelen. Jelen lesznek az ellenőrzőpontokon, hogy meggyőződjenek arról, senkinél sincs fegyver. Mert senkinek nem lenne szabad attól tartania, hogy a mellette ülő személy halálos fegyvert birtokol” – fogalmazott a kormányzó.
Az egyenruhások jelenléte mellett több mint ezer térfigyelő kamerát szereltek fel a szerelvényekre és az állomásokon.
New York lakóit megosztották az intézkedések.
„A poggyászellenőrzés a személyes tulajdonom átnézése, és ehhez nem járulok hozzá. Nem engedem a boltban sem, miért engedném a metróban?” – vélekedett egy nő.
A szigorítások ellenzői között volt, aki azt sérelmezte, hogy sok időt vesz igénybe, amíg a rendőrök átnézik a táskákat, miközben az emberek sietnének. Az utasok másik fele azonban kifejezetten örül a szúrópróba szerű ellenőrzéseknek.
„Lehet, hogy még mindig vannak köztünk terroristák. Őszintén, azt gondolom, szükség van itt a rendőrökre. Csak védik az embereket” – mondta egy férfi.
New York földalatti szerelvényeit naponta körülbelül 3 millió ember használja.
Idén már 3 gyilkosság történt a metróban, míg tavaly egész évben 5 volt.
Egy gyanúsítottat még mindig keresnek a rendőrök. A kormányzó abban bízik, hogy a biztonsági szigorítások elrettentik a bűnözőket.

A Zaporizzsjai Regionális Ügyészség eljárási útmutatása alapján a háborús törvények és szokások megsértésének gyanújával, előre megfontolt szándékkal elkövetett emberöléssel gyanúsították meg azt az orosz katonatisztet, aki lelőtt egy ukrán hadifoglyot.
Az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU) szerint az elkövető, Dmitrij Kuraszov, a Storm-V lövészhadosztály rohamosztagának többszörösen elítélt lövésze.
Az SZBU nyomozása és katonai elhárításának információi szerint 2024. január 6-án Kuraszov lelőtte az Ukrán Fegyveres Erők egyik katonáját, aki már az oroszok fogságában volt. Legalább három célzott lövést adott le az elfogott ukránra.
Ezt követően az ukránok ellentámadásba lendültek és elfogták Kuraszovot és társait.
Az SZBU kihallgatása folyamán egy másik elfogott orosz adta át Kuraszovot, később pedig egyéb vitathatatlan bizonyítékokat is összegyűjtött az SZBU – állítják a jelentések.

A 62 éves férfi kerékpárszereléssel foglalkozott a piacon. A legidősebb kamasz 15 éves volt. „Letartóztatása után elmondta, hogy a skinhead mozgalom tagjának tartja magát, és vannak hasonló gondolkodású ismerősei Kijevben. Ezért a gyilkosságot az elejétől a végéig videóra vették, hogy megerősítsék, mi is volt valójában. Jaroszlav egy Telegram-csatornán keresztül kapott utasításokat. Az elkészült videót pedig elküldte virtuális „barátjának”, aki szintén rajong a gyilkosságokért” – közölte a rendőrség.
A két legfiatalabb, Mark és Dmitro tizennégy évesek. Azt állítják, hogy nem ölni akartak, hanem csak megverni.
„A felfedezett videón azonban a fiúk egyáltalán nem lepődnek meg vagy félnek, amikor rájönnek, hogy a férfi már nem lélegzik, hanem éppen ellenkezőleg, a krematóriumon viccelődnek” – tette hozzá a rendőr.

Több tucat ember, többségében férfiak vesztették életüket vasárnap az afrikai Burkina Faso délkeleti részén található Natiaboani egyik mecsete ellen intézett támadásban.
Egy helyi lakos szerint a városba kora reggel érkező fegyveresek előbb körülzárták a mecsetet, majd az épületbe belépve tüzet nyitottak a napindító ima résztvevőire, akik közül sok imádkozó és egy vallási elöljáró is meghalt. A szemtanú hozzátette, hogy széleskörű támadás történt, amelynek a vallási gyülekezeten kívül a hadsereg helyi reguláris és önkéntesekből álló alakulata is a célpontja volt.
Szintén vasárnap, istentisztelet közben érte fegyveres támadás az ország északi részán található Dori egyházmegye egyik katolikus templomát, ahol legalább 15 ember vesztette életét. A hadsereg szerint ezt, valamint a hadsereg egy-egy további északi és keleti egysége ellen indított támadásokat is dzsihadista szélsőségesek hajthatták végre. A hadsereg közölte, hogy a légi támogatással indított ellencsapásaiban több száz terroristával végeztek.
Burkina Faso, különösen az ország északi része, 2015 óta van folyamatosan kitéve az al-Kaida és az Iszlám Állam terrorszervezethez köthető dzsihadista csoportok fegyveres támadásainak, amelyeknek a hadseregen kívül a vallási közösségek is rendszeres célpontjai. „Miután a 17 éves ukrán erőszakos halált halt az oberhauseni konfliktus során, a rendőrség további három fiatalt tartóztatott le” – áll a közleményben. Megjegyezték, hogy a letartóztatásokat péntek reggel hajtották végre. Az ukrán sportoló meggyilkolásának gyanújával egy 14 éves, görög származású német állampolgárt Herne városából, valamint két, 14 és 15 éves szíriait tartóztattak le Gelsenkirchenből.
A fő gyanúsított továbbra is egy 15 éves gelsenkircheni török származású német fiatalember, akit több napja őrizetben tartanak. A rendőrség szerint a nyomozás jelenlegi állása arra utal, hogy ő okozta a halálos szúrást az áldozaton.
A bűncselekmény indítékát még vizsgálják. Korábban a nyomozás megállapította, hogy „nincs konkrét jele idegengyűlöletre alapozott bűncselekménynek”. A rendőrség szóvivője pénteken ugyanakkor azt mondta, hogy vizsgálják, hogy a gyanúsítottak gyakran alkalmazták-e ugyanazt a taktikát a rablások során. Állítólag okkal feltételezhető, hogy a banda nem először járt el így, de ezúttal odáig fajult a helyzet, hogy a támadás egyik áldozata meghalt.
Mint arról korábban beszámoltunk, február 10-én este Düsseldorfban egy támadásban életét vesztette Volodimir Ermakov 17 éves ukrán kosárlabdás, barátja, Artem Kozacsenko pedig kórházba került. Mindketten a düsseldorfi ART Giants (U-19) ifjúsági csapatában játszottak.
A közlemény szerint a két ukrajnai fiatal sportoló valószínűleg este 8 óra körül busszal utazott a CentrO bevásárlóközpontból Oberhausen város főpályaudvarára. Vita alakult ki más fiatalokkal, a sajtó szerint valószínűleg az ukránokat provokálták. A kosárlabdázók a főpályaudvaron szálltak le a buszról, hogy elérjék a Düsseldorfba induló vonatot, és azonnal megtámadták őket. A fiatalok súlyos sérüléseket szenvedtek szúrt sebektől, Jermakov később a klinikán halt meg a sürgősségi műtét során.
A 15 éves támadó összesen kilenc alkalommal szúrta mellkason és hason a két ukránt. A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint a veszekedés következtében további két fiatal is súlyosan megsérült: egy szír (14 éves) és egy libanoni gyökerű német állampolgár (13 éves).
A támadók először észrevétlenül elszaladtak. A rendőrök azonban a bűncselekmény helyszínéről készült videofelvételek alapján gyorsan azonosították a támadót, akit korábban több rablás miatt került a rendfenntartók látókörébe. Kiderült, hogy egy 15 éves gelsenkircheni török származású német diákról van szó.
