A városban jelenleg 150–170 ezer lakos tartózkodik, legtöbben közülük idős emberek. A hírt Vadim Bojcsenko polgármester közölte.

Katonai források szerint két busz is eltűnt, melyeket korábban civilek evakuálására indítottak Popasnába – számolt be róla a Sky News.Az egyik járművet tűz alá vették a Donbász régióban.
Az eddigi információk szerint összesen három járművet küldtek a Luhanszk megyei kisvárosba, ahol a jelentések szerint jelenleg is heves harcok zajlanak.
Az önkéntesek által indított buszok közül az egyik tűz alá került, amikor a városközpontba ért, a másikról pedig, melyet egy helyi történelemtanár vezetett, egy napja nem hallottak.
A civilek evakuálását heves bombázások közepette kénytelenek megoldani Popasnában, a Donyeck és Luhanszk közötti városból Bakhmutba menekítik az embereket.
Az oroszok offenzívájának második szakasza Kelet-Ukrajnára koncentrál, a megszálló csapatok jelentős része ide összpontosul.

A hírt a Főügyészi Hivatal közölte. Az elhunytak és sérültek valós számát egyelőre nem tudják pontosan meghatározni, mivel sok helyszínen folyamatosan dúlnak a harcok.
A legtöbb gyerek Donyeck (139), Kijev (115), Harkiv (95), Csernyhiv (68), Mikolajiv (44), Luhanszk (37), Zaporizsja (27), Herszon (44), Kijev (16), Szumi (17) és Zsitomir (15) megyében sérült meg.
Ezenkívül a támadások során 1508 oktatási intézmény sérült meg, ezek közüll 102 teljesen megsemmisült.

Elkezdték felhasználni az ukrán haderő tagjai az Ausztrália által leszállított Bushmaster PMV 4×4-es páncélozott katonai járműveket az orosz haderő elleni műveletekben.
A közösségi médiába kiszivárgott felvételek alapján már az ukrán haderő kezében vannak az Ausztrália által felajánlott Bushmaster PMV 4×4-es páncélozott katonai járművek, eltérő források szerint még tesztelik, mások szerint már használják őket az orosz haderő ellen viselt harcokban.
A videón az látható, hogy Ukrajna jobbkormányos járműveket kapott, melyeket felszereltek Mk 19-es sorozat-gránátvetőkkel és M240-es géppuskával is. Azt nem tudni, hogy ezeket a fegyvereket Ausztrália szállította-e le vagy még az Egyesült Államok egy korábbi szállítmányából származnak-e.
A Bushmaster PMV egy viszonylag újfajta ausztrál katonai jármű, elsősorban gerilla-hadviselés elleni műveletekre tervezték, így kiváló terepjáró és személyvédelmi képességekkel, improvizált robbanóeszközök és aknák elleni védelemmel rendelkezik.

Az orosz kormányzathoz köthető hackerek számos kiberműveletet hajtottak végre Ukrajnával szemben az orosz hadművelet és online propagandakampányok támogatására – derült ki a Microsoft szerdán ismertetett jelentéséből.
Az amerikai számítástechnikai óriáscég által közzétett adatok szerint a hackertámadások az eddig ismertnél nagyobb szerepet játszottak a konfliktusban. A számítástechnikai szakemberek szerint a február 24-én kezdődött orosz hadműveletet megelőzően egy évvel indult digitális támadások özöne feltehetőleg egy sor különböző katonai bevetés alapjául szolgált a háború dúlta országban.
A Microsoft közölte, hogy február 23. és április 8. között 37, károkozó kibertámadást regisztrált Ukrajnában. Szakértők szerint a jelentés következtetései rávilágítanak arra, hogy a korszerű hadviselés miként ötvözi a digitális és hagyományos csapásokat.
A Microsoft szerint az orosz hackertevékenység és katonai hadműveletek összehangoltan működnek a közös célok ellen.
A számítástechnikai cég szakértői ugyanakkor nem tudták megállapítani, hogy ez az összefüggés összehangolt döntéshozatali mechanizmusokra, vagy egyszerűen a közös célokra vezethető-e vissza.
A háború kezdete óta elemzők azt állították, hogy Oroszország a vártnál kevésbé aktív a kibertérben Ukrajna ellen.
A Microsoft jelentése ugyanakkor kibertámadások özönét fedte fel, bár ezek hatása a legtöbb esetben nem volt egyértelműen meghatározható.
Az amerikai kormány két héttel korábban nyilvánosságra hozta a Pipedream néven ismert kiberfegyver létezését, amelyet ipari irányító rendszerek megzavarására hoztak alkottak. Bár nem tulajdonították egyértelműen Oroszországnak, a rendkívül veszélyesnek tartott kiberfegyver felfedezése egybe esik az ukrajnai hadművelettel.

Az orosz csapatok szerdán Ukrajnában több irányból is megpróbáltak offenzívát indítani sikertelenül – írta az ukrán vezérkar szerdai helyzetjelentésében.
A közlemény szerint a nap folyamán az orosz erők egyebek mellett rakéta-sorozatvetőkkel lőtték a keleti országrészben Harkivot, Derhacsit és Prugyankát. Izjum közelében támadóműveletet indítottak, de nem jártak sikerrel, veszteségeket szenvedtek és visszavonultak.
Korábban a védelmi minisztérium szóvivője arról számolt be, hogy két települést próbáltak az orosz csapatok elfoglalni Izjumtól mintegy 20 kilométerre, a megyeszékhelyre, Harkivra pedig tüzérségi és légi csapásokat mértek. Áldozatokról nem érkezett jelentés.
A Donyec-medencében a harcok ismét kiterjedtek az ukrán és a szakadár területek közti frontvonal teljes hosszára, az orosz erők aknavetőkkel és ágyúkkal lőtték az ukrán állásokat. A Donyecktől mintegy 50 kilométerre nyugatra fekvő Kurahove településnél megkísérelték áttörni az ukrán védelmi vonalat, de nem jártak sikerrel.
Pavlo Kirilenko Donyeck megyei kormányzó a Telegram üzenetküldő alkalmazáson azt állította, hogy az oroszok foszfortartalmú lövedékeket vetettek be Avigyijevka településen. Reggel légi csapást is mértek a városra, legalább egy civil megsérült.
A kormányzó szerint foszforbombákkal kétszer lőtték a várost, először kedd este a helyi kokszüzem környékén, majd szerdán a városközpontban csapódtak ilyen lövedékek. A csapások több helyen tüzeket okoztak a településen.

Németország hivatalosan is jóváhagyja Gepard önjáró légvédelmi rendszerek szállítását Ukrajnának – közölte Johannes Vogel, a liberális Szabad Demokraták képviselője.
A Reuters szerint Vogel megerősítette a Sueddeutsche Zeitung című napilap értesülését, amely szerint Christine Lambrecht védelmi miniszter kedden fogja bejelenteni a Gepardok felajánlását Ukrajnának az Egyesült Államok németországi Ramstein légitámaszpontján tartandó találkozón.
Olaf Scholz német kancellárt többen is bírálták már amiatt, hogy kormánya nem szállít nehézfegyvereket Ukrajnának. A múlt héten ígéretet tett a német katonai készletekből származó páncéltörő és légvédelmi fegyverek szállítására, amelyeket azonban „védelmi fegyvereknek” nevezett.
Korábban szóba került harckocsik, illetve páncélozott csapatszállítók küldése is. A német Rheinmetall hadiipari vállalat hétfőn engedélyt kért 100 régi Marder gyalogsági harcjármű, illetve 88 Leopard 1A5 harckocsi Ukrajnába történő exportjára.
