Vasárnap hajnalban beszakadt Észak-Cshungcshong tartomány egyik gátja, ami miatt 15 jármű került víz alá. Az incidensben legkevesebb hét ember életét vesztette, a mentőegységek további áldozatok után kutatnak. Napok óta sújtják özönvízszerű esőzések Dél-Koreát, az áradásokban már több mint harminc ember meghalt, és ezreket evakuáltak.
Legalább 33 ember meghalt, és több mint 1500 lakost evakuáltak az özönvízszerű esőzések miatt Dél-Koreában. Földcsuszamlás veszélye miatt országszerte több mint ötezer ember kényszerült elhagyni otthonát, továbbá négy tartományban mintegy 8300 háztartás maradt áram nélkül.
A CNN híradása szerint ismét halálos áldozatokat követelt az áradás, miután a Miho folyó egyik gátja nem bírta el a víztömeget, amely így befolyt a Gunpjongi alagútba, és szinte azonnal elárasztotta az arra járó járműveket.
Az alagútban 15 jármű – köztük egy autóbusz – esett csapdába a gyorsan emelkedő vízszint miatt.
A helyi tűzoltóság vezetője közölte, négyszáz munkás, köztük 30 búvár részvételével zajló kutatási és mentési akció indult a víz alá került járművekben rekedt emberek mentésére. A tűzoltóság közölte, kilenc embert húztak ki az árból, azonban hét holttestet is kiemeltek a vízből.
A dél-koreai belügyminisztérium szerint a mentőakció vasárnap hajnalban zajlott, a hatóságok tíz ember eltűnését jelentették. Jelenleg azonosítják a holttesteket.
A mentőalakulatok jelenleg is a helyszínen dolgoznak, percenként 80 ezer liter vizet szivattyúznak ki az alagútból. Hozzátették, munkájuk által hajnali fél 5-re már láthatóvá vált a víz alá került busz teteje. A hatóságok szerint nem valószínű, hogy további túlélőket találnak.

A dél-koreai hatóságok arról számoltak be, hogy eddig heten vesztették életüket a napok óta tartó özönvízszerű esőzésekben. Szintén hét sérültről tudni, illetve három személyt eltűntként tartanak nyilván.
Ezrével evakuálták az embereket Dél-Koreában, miután harmadik napja szakad az eső, mely földcsuszamlásokat okozott, és egy gátat is átszakított. Több mint 7000 olyan emberről jelentettek, akiket evakuálni kellett az érintett területekről.
Helyi idő szerint reggel 9 órakor másodpercenként több mint 2700 tonna víz ömlött a Goesan-gátba, ami egyúttal a gát által kibocsátott maximális vízmennyiség. A CNA azt írja, hogy Korea Railroad Corp. bejelentette, leállítja az összes lassú vonatot és néhány gyorsvonatot is, míg más gyorsvonatok a lassabb haladás miatt késhetnek, mivel a földcsuszamlások, a pálya elárasztása és a lezuhanó kövek veszélyeztetik a biztonságot.

A dél-koreai tűzoltóság jelentéséből kiderül, miszerint több mint 80 ember sérült meg pénteken, miután számos jármű, köztük három iskolabusz karambolozott az autópályán, Szöultól keletre.
A Gangwon megyei tűzoltó parancsnokság egyik tisztviselője megerősítette, hogy az iskolabuszok fedélzetén 75 fő tartózkodott, középiskolás diákok és tanáraik.
A tisztviselő arról is beszámolt, hogy az incidens Hongcheon tartományában történt, ám azt nem közölte, mi okozhatta a balesetet – írta a Reuters.
Azt viszont kiemelte, hogy az ütközés következtében hárman súlyosan megsérültek, köztük két diák, akiket minden bizonnyal azóta kórházba szállítottak, hogy megfelelő ellátásban részesüljenek. Jelenlegi állapotukról egyelőre nincs hír.

Az incidens során senki nem sérült meg, a férfit pedig a leszállás után őrizetbe vették, de egyelőre azt nem tudták kideríteni a rendőrök, hogy miért nyitotta ki az ajtót – írja a Guardian.
Az Airbus A321-es gép helyi idő szerint csütörtökön, nem sokkal dél előtt indult el a Csedzsu-szigetről a Tegui reptérre, ahova egy órával később meg is érkezett, a landolás azonban a vártnál rázósabbra sikerült, miután a vészkijárat mellett ülő férfi még a levegőben, nagyjából 200 méterrel a föld felett kinyitotta a mellette lévő ajtót, ami a landolásig úgy is maradt. Ez, illetve maga az incidens egyébként azért történhetett meg, mert a landolásra készülve nemcsak az utasok, hanem már az utaskísérők is az ülésbe szíjazva ültek a gépen.
A leszállás során végül senki nem sérült meg, de kilenc embert, köztük nyolc iskolás gyereket kórházba kellett szállítani hiperventilláció gyanúja miatt. A gépen egyébként összesen 48 kisiskolás volt, egyikük anyjának elmondása szerint őket, különösen azokat, akik közelebb ültek az ajtóhoz, eléggé megrémisztette a dolog. Az esetről több videó is készült, ezeken látszik, hogy a szél alaposan megdolgozta az utasokat.
Az őrizetbe vétele után a hatóságok megpróbálták kihúzni az egyedül utazó, 33 éves férfiből, hogy mi késztette arra, hogy kinyissa az ajtót, de egyelőre nem tudtak kihúzni belőle semmit. Az mindenesetre biztosnak tűnik, hogy nem állt semmilyen szer befolyása alatt.

A fedélzeten összesen 25 ember tartózkodott, valamennyien orosz állampolgárok voltak. A dél-koreai hatóságok 21 embert mentettek ki, közülük 19-en épségben megúszták, ketten könnyebb sérüléseket szenvedtek.
A tűz helyi idő szerint 00:43-kor ütött ki, a 769 tonnás hajó, amely 100 tonna tengeri halat szállított, Oroszországba tartott. A vészjelzés beérkezése után a dél-koreai parti őrség mentőhajót küldött.
A koreai fél most jelentette, hogy négy eltűntnek hitt orosz tengerész – egy rangidős kapitányhelyettes, egy szakács és két matróz – holttestét találták meg a hajó fedélzetén – mondta egy szóvivő.

A város kormányzója szerint a tűz azután keletkezett, hogy az erős szél kidöntött egy fát, amely rádőlt a villanyvezetékekre és kigyulladt – mondta Kim.
A közösségi médiában terjedő fotókon és felvételeken erdőket és mezőket pusztító tüzek, valamint füstbe borult épületek láthatóak.
A tűzoltok próbálják megfékezni a lángok terjedését, de a repülők, melyek segítségével oltották volna az egyre terjedő tüzet, nem tudtak felszállni az erős szél miatt.

Jelenleg is folynak a keresési és mentési munkálatok, miután Japán és Dél-Korea között felborult egy fűrészárut szállító teherhajó. Az elsüllyedt teherhajó 22 fős legénységéből legkevesebb 12 embert már kiemeltek, ugyanakkor csak hajótörött volt magánál.
A baleset viharos időben történt Japán és Dél-Korea között, mialatt a személyzet 17 tagja eltűnt. A legénység tagjai közül öt embert mentettek ki szerdán azt követően, hogy a 6,551 tonnás „Jintian” elsüllyedt.
Nagaszaki partjainál süllyedt el a hajó, a hajótörötteket a közelben lévő hajók vették fel. A japán Kyodo hírügynökség beszámolója szerint a „Jintian” közel négy órával azt követően süllyedt el, hogy a legénysége kedden késő este vészjelzést adott le.
A legénység közölte, megdőlt a hajójuk és elkezdett beömleni a víz. A hongkongi bejegyzésű hajó legénységének 14 tagjai kínai, 8 pedig mianmari. A dél-koreai tisztviselők beszámolója szerint a kapitány helyi idő szerint 2 óra 41 perc körül kommunikált utoljára a műholdas telefonon keresztül, közölve a parti őrséggel, hogy a legénység tagjai elhagyták a hajót.
A hajó már teljesen elmerült, amikor a dél-koreai parti őrség megérkezett a helyszínre – jelentette a Yonhap hírügynökség. Az átkutatásra került mentőcsónakokban senkit nem találtak, és egyelőre azt sem tudni, mi okozta a teherhajó felborulását.
Az Al Jazeera azt írja, hogy a baleset idején Japán és Dél-Korea nagy részét hideghullám sújtotta, egyes területeken erős havazásról számoltak be. A mentés helyszínéhez legközelebb eső szigeteken a nappali hőmérséklet mindössze 3°C volt.
A France24 azt írja, mindössze egy legénységi tag volt, aki eszméleténél maradt, de egyelőre egy halálesetet sem erősítettek meg. A dél-koreai és a japán parti őrségi hajói és repülőgépei, valamint két kereskedelmi teherhajó is folytatja a keresést a legénység 10 eltűnt tagja után.
Az erős szél és a hullámok azonban hátráltatják az akciót, míg a 6,551 tonnás „Jin Tian” már elsüllyedt, 3 és fél órával azután, hogy kedden 23 óra 15 perc körül vészjelzést adott le Japán kizárólagos gazdasági övezetében – közölte a japán parti őrség szóvivője, Shinya Kitahara.
Továbbra sem világos, hogy mi történt a kimentettekkel, azok életben vannak-e, és ha igen, milyenek a túlélés esélyeik. Lehetséges, hogy a zord időjárási körülmények okozták a teherhajó elsüllyedését, melynek kapitánya 2 óra 41 perc körül kommunikált utoljára a parti őrséggel a műholdas telefonon keresztül. Ekkor közölte a hatóságokkal, hogy a legénység elhagyja a hajót, ami percekkel ezután elsüllyedt.

Egy dél-koreai gyorsforgalmi úton csütörtökön keletkezett hatalmas tűzvészben legkesebb öt ember életét vesztette, és közel negyvenen megsérültek a forgalomban – közölték a katasztrófavédelmi tisztviselők.
A közösségi médiában közzétett videófelvételeken egy hangszigetelt napellenző látszott, amely nem sokkal azután borult lángba, hogy a tűz a főváros, Szöul közelében lévő második Gyeongin gyorsforgalmi úton 13 óra 49 perc körül kitört.
A nagy forgalom miatt a járművek nehezen tudtak kimenekülni az érintett területről, miközben a tűz terjedt, és robbanás hallatszott – mondta egy szemtanú a Reuters szerint.
A tűz a jelek szerint egy busz és egy teherautó ütközése után keletkezett. A helyszínen tartózkodó tűzoltósági tisztviselő azonban azt mondta, hogy a tűz okát még vizsgálják, de már eloltották.
Összesen 44 jármű semmisült meg a tűzben. Öt ember meghalt, és legalább 37-en megsérültek, közülük hárman súlyosan – közölte egy mentőtiszt.

A kamionosok szakszervezetének több ezer tagja sztrájkol múlt hét óta, követelve a kormánytól, hogy állandósítsák a minimális fuvardíj-rendszert, mely jelenleg csak az év végéig hatályos.
A tiltakozók szerint a jelenleg fennálló fuvardíj-rendszer megélhetési és személyes biztonsági szempontból elengedhetetlen számukra: ha ugyanis nincs biztosítva a fuvarokra kiszabható díjak alsó határa, kénytelenek lennének növelni a fuvarok számát, hogy biztosítsák megélhetésüket, ez pedig kapkodáshoz és veszélyes járművezetési stílushoz vezetne. Emellett olyan kiegészítő támogatásokat követelnek, melyek kompenzálják a rohamosan emelkedő gázolajárakat, avagy enyhítik a „zord” munkakörülményeket.
A koreai kormány kedden rendeletet adott ki, melyben felszólították a sztrájkban részt vevő 2500, cementszállító kamiont vezető sofőrt az azonnali munkába állásra, mondván: munkabeszüntetésük fennakadásokat okoz a nemzeti gazdaságban. Amennyiben „alapos indok” nélkül nem tesznek eleget a rendeletben foglaltaknak, három évig terjedő börtönbüntetéssel vagy akár 30 millió von (9 millió forint) pénzbüntetéssel számolhatnak.
Ez volt az első alkalom, hogy a mindenkori koreai kormány élt azon törvénnyel, amellyel – 2004-es átdolgozása után – jogszerűen kötelezheti a kamionsofőröket a munkába állásra.
A kikötők konténerforgalmát szombaton sikeresen visszaállították a normál működés 80 százalékára – közölte a szárazföldi szállítás, infrastrukturális és közlekedési minisztérium. A hét folyamán a megszokott forgalom csupán 20 százalékát tudták ellátni.
