 Az éjszaka folyamán az orosz erők elfoglalták a zaporizzsjai atomerőművet, most pedig az ukránokat okolják a kialakult tűz miatt.
 Oroszország az éjszaka folyamán bekerítette és elfoglalta a zaporizzsjai atomerőművet, melynek következtében tűz ütött ki a telephelyen, azonban az oroszok most az ukránokat vádolják a tűz kialakulása miatt.
 Orosz védelmi tisztviselők ugyanis kijelentették, hogy az erőműben keletkezett tüzekért Ukrajna felelős, és “szörnyű provokációnak” nevezték az esetet – habár azt ismételten nem részletezték, hogy pontosan mit értettek provokáció alatt, miközben az oroszok foglalták el az ukránok atomerőművét.
 Az orosz védelmi minisztérium mindenesetre megismételte az “erőműre vonatkozó igényét”, és közölte, hogy “az erőmű a szokásos módon üzemel”. A pillanatról, amikor tűz ütött ki Európa legnagyobb atomerőművében, egy felvétel is készült, melyet ezen a linken lehet megtekinteni.
 A tüzet szerencsére el sikerült oltani, a nemzetközi közösség pedig nagy döbbenettel és felháborodással fogadta az oroszok újabb húzását. Az aggodalmak közepette viszont Rafael Mariano Grossi, a Nemzetközi Atomenergia Ügynökség (IAEA) vezetője jó híreket közölt.
 Grossi elmondása szerint ugyanis a zaporizzsjai támadás nem érintette közvetlenül a reaktorokat, csak egy ahhoz tartozó épületet, illetve az erőmű hat reaktorának biztonsági rendszerét sem sikerült tönkretenni.
