Befolyással való visszaélés miatt vádat emelt négy miniszter ellen a szervezett bűnözés elleni ügyészség (USKOK) Horvátországban szerdán – közölte a horvát közszolgálati televízió (HRT), hozzátéve, hogy négy további személy is szerepel a vádlottak között.
A vádak szerint Darko Horvat volt építésügyi, területtervezési és állami vagyonkezelési miniszter 2018-ban, amikor az előző kormányban gazdasági miniszteri posztot töltött be, helyettesét, Ana Mandacot arra utasította, hogy egy 2,6 millió kunás (141 millió forint) vissza nem térítendő támogatási keret elosztásánál részesítsen előnyben bizonyos embereket. A kis- és közepes vállalkozások számára a nemzeti kisebbségek által lakott területeken meghirdetett programban olyanok kaptak támogatást, akikkel a tárcavezetőt valamilyen érdek kötötte össze, vagy akiknek a támogatására Tomislav Tolusic volt mezőgazdasági miniszter, illetve Boris Milosevic, a szerb kisebbséghez tartozó volt miniszterelnök-helyettes javaslatot tett.
Josip Aladrovic volt munkaügyi és nyugdíjrendszerért felelős minisztert pedig azzal vádolják, hogy 2018 és 2019 között – amikor a horvát nyugdíjpénztár (HZMO) igazgatója volt – két személyt előnyhöz juttatott az elhelyezkedésnél.
Darko Horvatot még februárban saját kérésére felmentette tisztségéből Andrej Plenkovic kormányfő, miután a bíróság egy hónapi vizsgálati fogságot rendelt el számára. Milosevic és Aladrovic még egy ideig hivatalban maradt, Tolusic pedig már nem volt miniszter a 2020-ban megalakult új kormányban.

Özönvízszerű esőzések voltak szerda este Horvátországban, az áradat Fiuméban (Rijeka) teljesen megbénította a közúti forgalmat, pincéket öntött el, és egy ember halálát okozta, de Isztria több járásában is riasztották a tűzoltókat – jelentette a helyi média.
A fiumei tűzoltóság csütörtöki közlése szerint egy férfi egy autó alá szorult és megfulladt. A tűzoltók közel száz autóból mentették ki az embereket, újra járhatóvá tették az utakat, és kiszivattyúzták a vizet az elárasztott épületekből.
A Magyar Szó beszámolt arról, hogy a horvát Mladen Sculac megyei tűzoltóparancsnok a sajtónak kifejtette: szerda este Fiumében két óra alatt csaknem 140 liter csapadék hullott, amennyi átlagosan egész szeptemberben szokott esni. A városi vízelvezető rendszer nem tudta elnyelni a rengeteg vizet, amely épületek pincéjét, alsóbb szintjét öntötte el.
Több helyen evakuálni kellett az embereket. Hinko Manc, a város tűzoltóparancsnoka úgy fogalmazott: Fiume az esti órákban tóvá változott, az utakon, főleg az alacsonyabb részeken, félméteres víz állt.
A hatóságok arra kérték a lakosokat, hogy ha tehetik, maradjanak otthon. Isztria több térségében a tűzoltók műszaki mentést folytattak, kidőlt fákat és ágakat távolítottak el az utakról, valamint vizet szivattyúztak ki elárasztott épületekből.

Az özönvízszerű esőzések miatt Horvátország több területén is árvízveszélyt hirdettek – közölte a horvát közszolgálati televízió (HRT) vasárnap.
A közép-horvátországi Károlyvárosban (Karlovac) reggel nyolc órakor a Kupa folyó vízszintje elérte a 796 centimétert, ami lényegesen magasabb a vártnál – mondta Damir Mandic polgármester. A folyó kilépett medréből, a külvárosban több házat, udvart, pincét öntött el, és utakat árasztott el – tette hozzá. Károlyvárosnál négy folyó, a Kupa, a Mreznica, a Korana és a Dobra folyik össze. Továbbra is a Károlyvárostól északra lévő Ozaljban a legrosszabb a helyzet, a várost már szombaton elvágta az áradás a külvilágtól. A Kupa folyó ott az 1966-ban felállított rekordszintnél mindössze hat centiméterrel volt alacsonyabb. Biljana Zeljeznjak, a Horvát Vizek vállalat károlyvárosi vezetője vasárnap a sajtónak úgy nyilatkozott: a várostól lefelé egyre rosszabb a helyzet, a Gradactól Kobilicig tartó szakaszon több házat elöntött a víz. A jó hír az, hogy az eső már nem esik – mondta, hozzátéve, hogy az árhullám Petrinja és Sisak felé halad. Egyelőre nem tudni, mi lesz ezekkel a területekkel, de minden szolgálat figyelemmel kíséri a helyzetet, és készek beavatkozni – hangsúlyozta. A lakosságot az árvíz sújtotta területeken a polgári védelem és a tűzoltóság is segíti a védekezésben.

A horvát hatóságok és a helyiek megkezdték több kelet-horvátországi város utcáinak megtisztítását, miután csütörtök délután heves vihar csapott le a térségre.
A vihar szakadó esővel és erős széllökésekkel érkezett. A Zágrábtól 60 km-re, keletre fekvő Čazma városában tetőket bontott meg, tépett le, fákat csavart ki és járműveket borított fel.
Egy helybéli középiskola titkára azt meséli, „a vihar hirtelen csapott le, miközben az iskolában rendben folytak a tanórák. Kinéztem az ablakon és rácsodálkoztam, hogy papírdarabok, törmelékek repülnek a sportcsarnok fölött. Aztán rájöttem, hogy leszakadt a teteje. El tudják képzelni, hogy nézett ki? Úgy cibálta a szél a tetőt, mintha csak egy papírfecni lenne. A gyerekek és a tanárok kirohantak a folyosóra, közben betörtek az ablakok, beborítva üvegszilánkokkal a számítógépeket. A földszinti termeket elöntötte a víz. A helyzet súlyához képest mindenki higgadt maradt.”
A vihar mindössze öt-hat percig tartott, de az anyagi kár több millió kunára rúg. A hétvégére további esőzések várhatók Horvátországban.
A szomszédos Szlovéniában a heves esőzések földcsuszamlásokat, villámárvizeket, elöntött utcákat és akadozó forgalmat okoztak.
A katasztrófavédelem több vidéki házból kitelepítette az embereket. A fővárosban, Ljubljanában tulajdonosaik tolták ki autóikat a vízben álló utcákból.

Egy szurkoló páncéltörő rakétavetővel a pályára lőtt a Plitvice–Sokolac-labdarúgó-mérkőzésen. A lövedék majdnem eltalálta az egyik kispadot, de végül senki sem sérült meg a pálya közelében.
A 24sata.hr horvát hírportál értesülései szerint a rakétavető neve Zolja, amely egy páncélozott járművek megsemmisítésére szolgáló könnyű, jugoszláv gyártmányú eszköz, és 64 milliméteres lövedékeket lő ki. Akár 300 milliméteres tömör acélon is képes áthatolni, és ha a rakéta 4–6 másodpercen belül nem találja el a célt, magától felrobban.
Az esetről felvétel is készült, melynek hitelességét a helyi megyei szövetség titkára is elismerte. Vladimir Romic elmondta: a mérkőzés szervezéséért felelős házigazda, a plitvicei csapat ellen fegyelmi eljárást indult.
„Nyilatkozatokat kérünk a küldöttektől, a játékvezetőtől és a két csapat képviselőitől. Az ügy kivizsgálását követően az illetékes fegyelmi bizottság szab majd ki büntetést a történtekkel kapcsolatban” – nyilatkozta Vladimir Romic.
A megyei rendőrség is nyomozást kezdeményezett, viszont a plitvicei klub elnöke szerint a felvétel nem mostani, hanem sokkal korábban készült.
A két megyei csapat mérkőzését 4–1-re a Sokolac nyerte.

Az ügy előzménye, hogy a korrupcióval és szervezett bűnözéssel foglakozó horvát ügyészség letartóztatott öt ember, mert az OMS nevű horvát cég a piaci ár alatt vásárolt gázt az INA-tól, amit kivitt külföldre, ahol aztán hatalmas haszonnal értékesítette. A letartóztatottak között volt az INA egyik vezetője is.

A közép-horvátországi Novska közelében egy személyvonat beleütközött egy parkoló tehervonatba. Nemhivatalos információk szerint a mozdonyvezető és a kalauz vesztette életét.
Sokan megsérültek, legalább ketten pedig életüket vesztették abban a vonatbalesetben, amely péntek este történt Horvátországban.
A Sziszek-Monoszló (Sisacko-Moslavacka) megyei rendőrség közleménye szerint a baleset a közép-horvátországi Novska közelében történt, egy személyvonat beleütközött egy parkoló tehervonatba.
A horvát Index információi szerint a balesetben hárman meghaltak, 11-en pedig megsérültek, köztük akadnak olyanok is, akiket súlyos sérülésekkel szállítottak kórházba.
A lap azt írja, a három halott horvát állampolgár, míg a 11 sérült közül 8-an külföldiek.
