A tiltakozók gépkocsikat forgattak fel, legalább egy autó kiégett és kisebb tüzek voltak a place de la République tér, a demonstrációk hagyományos helyszíne környékén, ahol előzőleg a kurdok békés tüntetést tartottak.
Az összecsapások azután kezdődtek, hogy a tüntetők egy része elhagyta a helyszínt. Egyesek megdobálták a rendőröket, akik könnygázt vetettek be. Két óráig tartottak a zavargások, mire sikerült a tömeget szétoszlatni.
Pénteken egy fegyveres férfi lövöldözni kezdett Párizs forgalmas X. kerületében, egy kurd kulturális központ közelében, ahol a kurd közösség három aktivistájának tíz évvel ezelőtti, máig felderítetlen meggyilkolására készültek emlékezni.
A rendőrség őrizetbe vett egy 69 éves férfit, aki a hatóságok szerint nemrégiben szabadult az őrizetből, miközben a tárgyalására várt, amiért egy évvel korábban karddal támadt egy párizsi menekülttábor lakóira.
A gyanúsított kihallgatása után immár fajgyűlölet miatt elkövetett emberölés és lőfegyverrel való visszaélés ellene vád – közölte szombaton az ügyészség.

Egy hatvan év fölötti férfi lövöldözött a francia fővárosban pénteken egy kurd kulturális központ közelében. Eddig legalább három halálos áldozat van és több súlyos sérült. A környéken az eset után zavargás tört ki, amelyben tizenegy rendőr megsérült.
A francia Le Monde című lap internetes portálja arról számolt be, hogy a pénteki párizsi lövöldözésben három kurd aktivista vesztette életét.
A támadó egy hatvan év feletti férfi volt, aki hét vagy nyolc lövést adott le. A rendőrség az elkövetőt lefegyverezte, és őrizetbe vette. A férfit egy évvel ezelőtt már letartóztatták, amiért karddal támadt emberekre egy párizsi migránstáborban.
Az eset után Gérald Darmanin belügyminiszter a helyszínen tartott sajtótájékoztatóján elmondta, az elkövetőt büntetett előélete ellenére nem ismerték a titkosszolgálatok, és nem volt „regisztrálva szélsőjobboldali személyként” – írta a Le Monde.
A BBC viszont arról ír, hogy Anne Hidalgo polgármester állítása szerint a gyilkosságokat egy „szélsőjobboldali aktivista” követte el.
A Le Monde közvetítéséből az is kiderül, ugyan arra egyelőre semmilyen jel nem utal, hogy a támadó William M. kurdellenes török nacionalista lenne, a helyiek törökellenes szólamokat kiabáltak a belügyminiszter sajtótájékoztatója alatt.
Miután a tárcavezető befejezte az újságírókhoz intézett beszédét, zavargás tört ki, amelyben a Le mond szerint eddig legalább tizenegy rendőr sérült meg.

Montpellier mellett Nizzában és Párizsban is összecsaptak a szurkolók a rendőrökkel. A legsúlyosabb incidens azonban Montpellier-ben volt, ott ugyanis egy 14 éves kamasz is életét vesztette.
A DailyMail szerint a fiatal több szurkolóval együtt megrohamozott egy francia zászlós autót. A sofőr erre bepánikolt, tett egy hajtűkanyart, és elhajtott a helyszínről, de közben elütötte a fiatalt, akit egy közeli kórházba szállítottak ugyan, de nem tudták megmenteni az életét.
Belgiumban sem volt jobb a helyzet, ahol az utcákon megint rongálásba kezdtek a marokkói csapat szurkolói.

Miután az amerikai Esso-ExxonMobil olajipari vállalatnál a korábban tüntető dolgozók felvették a munkát, az ellátás valamelyest javult, de a kormány adatai szerint szombaton a benzinkutak 27 százalékánál még mindig hiány volt legalább egyik üzemanyagból, Párizsban a kutak 40 százalékánál voltak ellátási gondok.

Egy 12 éves kislány holttestét találták meg egy bőröndben Párizsban. A lány apja azután kezdett aggódni, hogy pénteken nem érkezett haza a gyereke az iskolából; az édesanya még aznap bejelentette a kislány eltűnését a helyi rendőrkapitányságon.
A francia nyomozók azonnal nagy erőkkel nyomozást indítottak, miután a családi ház pincéjében emberrablásra utaló nyomokat találtak – írja a Sky News.
A térfigyelő kamerák felvételeinek elemzése során egy nőre lettek figyelmesek az épület előtt, aki egy bőröndöt cipelt.
A bőröndöt később néhány utcával arrébb találtak meg, benne a lány holttestével.
A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint a kislány arcát ragasztószalag borította és több vágás is volt a torkán.
Az üggyel összefüggésben jelenleg négy embert vettek őrizetbe, köztük van az a férfi, aki a bőrönd megtalálása után hívta a rendőrséget. A hatóságok nem hozták nyilvánosságra, hogy milyen kapcsolatba hozhatók a letartóztatottak a gyilkossággal.
A nyomozás emberölés miatt folyik, a boncolásra szombaton kerül sor.
