A javaslat szerint Szlovákia ezt az Orosz Föderáció Ukrajna elleni, folyamatban lévő, masszív, ki nem provokált katonai inváziójával összefüggésben teszi, reagálva az ukrán igényekre.

A holland kabinet megerősítette döntését arról, hogy a NATO kérésének megfelelően Patriot légvédelmi rendszereket telepít a Szlovákiába.
A döntés előzménye, hogy Szlovákia beleegyezett abba, hogy amennyiben kap helyette más eszközöket, átadja Ukrajnának az országban hadrendben lévő Sz–300-as légvédelmi rendszereket.
Ezeket a még a szovjet időkben fejlesztették ki, s az ukrán hadsereg katonái is ismerik a rendszer működését. Hollandia mellett Németország is szállít Patriotokat Szlovákiának. Az eszközök várhatóan áprilisban kerülnek be Ukrajnába.
Szergej Lavrov orosz külügyminiszter korábban hangsúlyozta, Pozsony megszegi a Szlovákia és Oroszország közötti egyezményeket azzal, ha Moszkva engedélye nélkül adja tovább a szovjet/orosz haditechnikát.

Megérkeztek Szlovákiába az első amerikai katonák a Saber Strike (Kardcsapás) fedőnevű hadgyakorlatra szerdán a késő éjszakai órákban. A Csehországból érkező konvojt a cseh-szlovák határon tiltakozók csoportja várta – jelentette a szlovák Markíza kereskedelmi televízió hírportálja, a tvnoviny.sk csütörtökön.
A portál jelentése szerint az autópályán érkező katonai konvoj a Lanzhot-Brodské határátkelőn lépte át a szlovák határt, majd a Malacky-Kuchynában lévő légibázisra folytatta útját. A tvnoviny.sk hírében hangsúlyosan idézte a szlovák védelmi minisztérium korábbi közlését, miszerint az amerikai csapatok részvételével tervezett hadgyakorlat „nem tartozik azon intézkedések sorába, amelyek az aktuális ukrajnai biztonsági helyzetre reagálnak”.
Több egymást megerősítő médiaközlésben is beszámoltak arról, hogy az amerikai konvojt a határon tiltakozók csoportja várta. Andrej Danko, a szlovák parlament előző elnöke, a Szlovák Nemzeti Párt (SNS) vezetője, aki maga is részt vett a tiltakozó akcióban, a közösségi médiában megjelent posztjában néhány száz tiltakozót említett.
A CTK cseh állami hírügynökség jelentése szerint a Németországból Csehországon keresztül Szlovákiába tartó amerikai katonák 5 – egyenként 3-5 kisebb csapatra oszló – csoportban haladnak át Csehország területén, miközben ezek közül az utolsó várhatóan kedden hagyja el az ország területét.
A szlovák védelmi minisztérium e heti közlése szerint a Saber Strike hadgyakorlatra megközelítőleg 2 ezer amerikai katona és velük együtt mintegy 600 harci és műszaki eszköz érkezik Szlovákiába. A szaktárca szerint a gyakorlaton a szlovák fegyveres erők közel 1300 tagja vesz majd részt.
Daniel Zemko, a szlovák fegyveres erők vezérkari főnöke a gyakorlatról azt mondta: ennek tervei 2019-re nyúlnak vissza. A TASR szlovák közszolgálati hírügynökség csütörtöki hírelőzetese szerint a délután folyamán a kuchynai légibázison a hadgyakorlat előkészületeit bemutató médianapot tartanak.

10 kilométerre Kárpátaljától, Szlovákia területén halálos kimenetelű baleset történt, melynek következtében két ukrán állampolgár is életét vesztette.
Az információk szerint egy 42 éves nő és egy 20 éves fiatalember Ukrajna felé haladt Seat Leon járművükön, azonban egy pillanatban a nő elvesztette uralmát a jármű felett, egy árokba zuhant, ahol egy vasbeton hídnak ütközött. Mind a járművezető, mind pedig utasa életüket vesztették.
Később kiderült, mindketten ukrán állampolgárok, s az ünnepekre tértek volna haza.

A csapi határőregység munkatársai letartóztattak egy nigériai állampolgárt, aki illegális úton akart Szlovákia területére jutni.
Az eset Palágykomorócon történt, a járőrök egy ismeretlen személyre figyeltek fel, aki a szlovák határ felé haladt. A határőröket láttán a férfi megijedt, az Ungba ugrott, azonban hamar rájött, hogy a menekülés nem fog sikerülni. Megpróbált visszaúszni a partra, azonban csak a hatóságok segítségével sikerült kijutnia a vízből.
A férfit azonnal a határőregységhez szállították, nem találtak nála okmányokat, azonban azt állította, nigériai állampolgár. Az ügyben folyik a nyomozás, a bevándorló sorsáról a bíróság dönt majd.

A rendőrök röviddel csütörtök délután azért vitték el Robert Ficót, az ellenzéki Smer-SD elnökét, mert a tiltott gyülekezésről szóló rendeletet megszegve tiltakozó gyűlést szervezett a pozsonyi Tyrs rakpartra.
Fico kedden sajtótájékoztatón harangozta be, hogy autós tüntetést szervez az államfő ellen, mert szerinte Zuzana Čaputová „eltemette a demokráciát“. Fico akkor azt állította a tiltakozást a törvényekkel összhangban szervezik – számolt be a Paraméter.
A Duna partjára meghirdetett tiltakozó akcióra mintegy 50 ember érkezett
A résztvevők közül senki nem ült gépkocsiban, nyilván a tiltakozás kezdetére vártak – írta a Paraméter. Amikor Fico a helyszínre érkezett, hogy szóljon az emberekhez és az újságírókhoz, a rendőrök közölték, hogy velük kell mennie. Fico eleget tett a rendőri felszólításnak, beült a járőr autójába, az pedig elhajtott vele a gyülekezet élénk tiltakozása közepette – áll a beszámolóban.

„A jogállamért folytatott küzdelem a csúcsára ért Szlovákiában” – közölte Eduard Heger kormányfő az országban zajló rendőrségen belüli tisztogatásokkal kapcsolatban.
A szlovák belügyminisztérium belső ellenőrzési osztályának nyomozói őrizetbe vették saját igazgatójukat, előtte pedig a Nemzeti Bűnüldözési Ügynökség, a NAKA négy nyomozóját, akik a Tisztítótűz fedőnevű akcióban nyomoztak. A gyanúsítottakat a tanúk manipulálásával vádolják.
Rendőr rendőrnek farkasa – akár így is lehetne jellemezni az egyre nehezebben értelmezhető helyzetet, amely jelenleg uralja a szlovák rendőrséget. A belügyminisztérium belső ellenőrzési osztályának nyomozója hétfőn elrendelte a legsúlyosabb gazdasági bűncselekmények feltárására létrehozott Nemzeti Bűnüldözési Ügynökség, a NAKA négy nyomozójának őrizetbe vételét, később pedig saját igazgatóját, a belső ellenőrzés megbízott vezetőjét, Peter Scholzot is. Scholz júniusban felfüggesztette hivatalából Diana Santusová nyomozót. Ő vezette azt a speciális csoportot, amely annak a gyanúnak a megalapozottságát vizsgálta, hogy a nyomozók a nagy sajtóvisszhangot kiváltó korrupciós ügyekben állítólag hamis tanúzásra beszélték rá a tanúkat. „A gyanúsítottak kihallgatása után elemezni fogják a vallomásokat, és a további bizonyítékok alapján döntenek a következő bírósági eljárásról” – tájékoztatott az üggyel kapcsolatban Dalibor Skladan, a pozsonyi kerületi ügyészség szóvivője.
Az igazságszolgáltatás akadályozása miatt háromtól nyolc évig terjedő szabadságvesztést is kiszabhatnak a vétkes rendőrökre.
A szlovák belügyminiszter szerint a nyomozók megfélemlítésére irányuló cselekedetről van szó. Robert Mikulecnek nincs büntetőjogi hatásköre arra, hogy visszaállítsa a helyzetet, de megüzente, miniszterként élni fog a törvényes eszközeivel, hogy ezek a módszerek ne térítsék el a tisztességes rendőröket és a nyomozókat attól, hogy feltárják a korrupciót és más bűncselekményeket. A kialakult helyzetet a parlament védelmi és biztonsági bizottsága is megvitatja.
Eduard Heger miniszterelnök a rendőrségen belül folyó harcot keménynek minősítette. Úgy fogalmazott, hogy a jogállamért folytatott küzdelem a csúcsára ért Szlovákiában.
A polgárokat pedig biztosította, hogy kormánya nem adja fel a harcot. A közösségi oldalán közzétett videóban továbbá azt üzente, hogy győzelmet aratnak a maffia és a korrupció felett. „12 év alatt egy olyan szervezett csoport alakult ki és erősödött meg, amely számára a rendőrség, az ügyészség és a bíróság csak eszköz a büntetlenségük biztosításához. Mi fokozatosan megfosztjuk a pozícióiktól ezeket az embereket. A törvényesség kormánya elleni ellenállás azonban erősödik” – mondta a szlovák miniszterelnök.

A portál arról ír: az igazgató őrizetbe vételét Juraj Chylo ügyész parancsára hajtották végre. Chylo volt az, aki a megbízott rendőr főkapitány, Peter Kovařík ellen is eljárást indított. Scholtzot saját irodájában vették őrizetbe.
Hírügynökségi jelentés szerint az esettel kapcsolatban egyelőre sem a legfőbb ügyészség, sem a kerületi ügyészség nem kívánt nyilatkozni.
Scholtz 1994 óta szolgál a rendőrség kötelékében, ideiglenes megbízatását még júniusban vette át, miután elődje is korrupciós ügyekbe keveredett (Adrián Sz. ellen jelenleg is folyik a nyomozás). Scholtz sokáig a szenci rendőrkapitányságon dolgozott, 2002 és 2004 között annak igazgatóhelyettese volt – írja a TASR. 2004 óta szolgált a belső ellenőrzésnél.

Lemond posztjáról és távozik a rendőrségtől Peter Kovarík szlovák országos rendőrfőkapitány, aki ellen a múlt héten indult büntetőeljárás hatalommal való visszaélés és igazságügyi eljárás akadályozása jogcímén. Távozási szándékát maga a rendőrfőkapitány jelentette be keddi pozsonyi sajtótájékoztatóján.
A rendőrfőkapitány már hétfőn benyújtotta a belügyminiszternek lemondási nyilatkozatát, amely szerint szeptember 15-i hatállyal akar távozni posztjáról és a rendőrség kötelékéből – számolt be a TASR szlovák közszolgálati hírügynökség.
Kovaríkot idén januárban nevezték ki rendőrfőkapitánnyá, egy éven belül ő volt a harmadik személy ezen a poszton, aki ellen eljárás indult. Döntéséről Kovarík azt mondta: függetlenül attól, hogy mit gondol az ellene indított eljárásról, elképzelhetetlennek tartja, hogy úgy töltse be a posztját, hogy közben büntetőeljárás van folyamatban vele szemben.
Kovarík ellen a múlt héten indított eljárást a pozsonyi kerületi ügyészség egy idén júliusban történt incidensre hivatkozva. Akkor a rendőrfőkapitány ideiglenesen meghiúsította, hogy a belügyminisztérium belső ellenőrzési hivatala (ÚIS) végrehajtson egy akciót a rendőrség egy speciális egységében, a Nemzeti Bűnüldözési Ügynökségben (NAKA). Az akció során az ÚIS három olyan úgynevezett „vezeklő tanút” akart őrizetbe venni, akik vallomásai alapján a NAKA több eljárást folytatott és folytat. Akcióját az ÚIS azzal indokolta, hogy szerinte a NAKA rendőrei befolyásolhatták a vezeklő tanúk vallomásait. Az országos rendőrfőkapitány viszont az ÚIS akciójának meghiúsítását azzal indokolta, hogy – állítása szerint – az ÚIS nyomozótisztje az akció végrehajtásához nem rendelkezett megfelelő engedéllyel. Az őrizetbevételeket célzó akciót némi késéssel később sikerült végrehajtani, de a három személy közül akkor már csak egyet tudtak őrizetbe venni.
Az elmúlt közel egy évben a szlovák rendőrség több kiemelkedő korrupciós ügyben is kizárólag „vezeklő tanúk”, vagyis a bűnügyekben személyesen is érintett, ám a tanúskodásért cserébe engedményekre számító személyek vallomásaira hivatkozva vettek őrizetbe gyanúsítottakat. Ezt a módszert sok kritika érte a bűnüldöző szervek berkeiből is, de főként az ellenzéki pártok részéről, amelyek képviselői több eset kapcsán is azt állították, hogy a „vezeklő tanúk” a nyomozás irányítóival egyeztetve célirányosan változtatják vallomásaikat.
Kovarík a személye elleni eljárás megindítását követően visszautasította a vele szemben felhozott vádakat, illetve közölte: panasszal élt az eljárás ellen, illetve elfogultságra hivatkozva óvást emelt a pozsonyi kerületi ügyészség valamennyi ügyészével szemben. Keddi sajtótájékoztatóján Kovarík az eljárásról azt mondta: nem elégíti ki a bűncselekmény fogalmát az, ami a vele szemben felhozott vádakban szerepel, de készen áll arra, hogy megvédje magát, akár a bíróságon is.
