Világűrből származó kőzetdarab csapódott be nemrég Norvégiában. A meteorit 0,5-2 kilogramm közötti lehetett, és több mint 50 ezer kilométeres sebességgel csapódott a Földnek – közölte hétfőn a Norsar szeizmológiai kutatóintézet.
A meteorit a január 5-re virradó éjszaka hullott a Földre egy Loten melletti mérőállomás közelében, Oslótól 120 kilométerre északra. Sokan a környéken erős robajt hallottak és éles fényt láttak felvillanni.
A becsapódást egy olyan területtől nem messze észlelték, ahol néhány nappal korábban komoly földcsuszamlás történt, ezért sokan attól tartottak, hogy újabb hegyoldal omlott le.
A norvég meteoritfigyelő hálózat valószínűtlennek tartja, hogy az erdős és behavazott vidéken rábukkanjanak a meteoritra. A Norsar igazgatója, Anne Lycke szerint is óriási szerencse kellene ahhoz, hogy megtalálják.

A norvég rendőrséget hajnali 4 órakor riasztották a földcsuszamláshoz Gjerdrum községben, ami Ask faluban történt, Oslótól mintegy 20 kilométerre északra.
A katasztrófában legalább nyolc ház teljesen megsemmisült. Körülbelül 40 mentőt riasztottak a helyszínre.
A házakat kiürítették, miután mentőszolgálat emberei a helyszínre értek- mondta a helyi polgármester.
A hatóságok a várost katasztrófa sújtotta területté nyilvánították. Közel kétszáz embernek kellett elhagynia az otthonát. Az evakuált családok a városházán kaptak menedéket, később egy közeli szállóban helyezték el őket.

Tudnunk kell, hogy mindenkit evakuáltak-e. Biztosnak kell lennünk benne, hogy mindenkiről gondoskodnak – mondta Anders Ostensen polgármester. Volt akiket mentőhelikopterrel mentettek ki.
Előfordulhat újabb földcsuszamlás, ezért folytatják az evakuálást. Azt fontolgatjuk, hogy kiterjesztjük az evakuálás területét, ezt majd a nappali fényben jobban fel lehet mérni- mondta a polgármester.
Roger Patterson rendőrség szóvivő a reggeli sajtótájékoztatón elmondta: „Amikor egy eseményt katasztrófának minősítünk, az igazán komoly helyzet.” A mentést – amelyet nagy erőkkel folytatnak – nehezíti a rossz időjárás és az, hogy a nappal rövidsége miatt jórészt sötétben kell dolgozniuk a katasztrófamentőknek. A szóvivő elmondta, hogy jelenleg még folynak a munkálatok, nem tudják, hogy az összedőlt házakban vannak-e emberek.

Norvégia fővárosában, Oslóban több mint húsz embert kellett kórházba szállítani szén-monoxid-mérgezés miatt, miután részt vettek egy illegális partin – jelentette a BBC. A rendőrök a belvárosban néhány zavarodottnak tűnő fiatallal találkoztak, így akadtak az illegális bulira. Még néhányan előkerültek a bunkerből és segítséget kértek. A betegek még kórházban vannak, de már nincsenek életveszélyben, állapotuk jelenleg stabil.

Jegesmedve ölt meg egy kempingezőt a Norvégiához tartozó jeges-tengeri Svalbard-szigeteken (Spitzbergákon), ahol ez volt a hatodik halálos kimenetelű jegesmedve-támadás az elmúlt fél évszázadban.
A tragédia péntekre virradóra, hajnali 4 órakor történt egy kempingben a szigetcsoport székhelye, Longyearbyen közelében. Az áldozat egy férfi, akinek állampolgársága egyelőre nem ismert – közölték a helyi hatóságok.
Más kempingezők lövéseket adtak le a ragadozóra, amelyet később holtan találtak a longyearbyeni repülőtér parkolójában. A Norvégia és az Északi-sark között félúton fekvő szigetcsoporton mindenkinek ajánlott a fegyverviselés, aki elhagyja a városokat. Egy 2015-ös számlálás alkalmával 1000 körülire tették a Spitzbergákon élő jegesmedvék számát, amelyek 1973 óta védett fajnak számítanak.
Ez a hatodik halálos jegesmedve-támadás a sarkkörön túli szigetcsoporton 1971 óta. Legutóbb 2011-ben történt hasonló haláleset, amikor egy 17 éves brit diák halt meg és négy másik sebesült meg medvetámadásban egy iskolai kirándulás alkalmával.
Szakértők szerint a főleg fókákkal táplálkozó jegesmedvék természetes vadászterületét jelentő jégtáblák olvadása készteti a települések megközelítésére a táplálékot kereső sarkvidéki ragadozókat. A lakott területek közelében ólálkodó vadállatokat általában visszakergetik a vadonba vagy helikopterrek viszik vissza őket a jégmezőkre.

Az orosz médiában megjelent beszámolók szerint Oslóban őrizetbe vettek egy norvég állampolgárt, amiért olyan információt szolgáltatott ki külföldre, amelyek kárt okozhatnak a nemzet érdekeknek. Az üggyel kapcsolatban egy orosz diplomatát, sajtóértesülések szerint a kereskedelmi képviselet vezetőjét, nemkívánatos személynek nyilvánították.
Moszkvában pénteken a külügyminisztériumba kérették a moszkvai norvég nagykövetet, és közölték vele, hogy a történtekre válaszul egyik vezető diplomatájának három napon belül el kell hagynia az országot. Az orosz diplomáciai tárca destruktívnak minősítette a norvég hatóságok lépését, és Oslót tette felelőssé a történtekért.

A norvégiai Bodoe kikötőjében vesztegzár alá helyeztek egy turistahajót szerdán, miután egy korábbi utasnak pozitív lett a koronavírus-tesztje.
A tájékoztatás szerint a hajó 123 utasa és 85 fős személyzete további utasításig nem szállhat partra.
Nagyon komolyan vesszük a helyzetet – mondta Ida Pinnerodtold helyi polgármester az NRK norvég közszolgálati csatornának. Hozzátette, hogy kapcsolatba léptek az országos közegészségügyi intézettel, hogy a személyzet tagjai mellett az utasokat is leteszteljék-e. A hajó tulajdonosa, a SeaDream Yacht Club arról számolt be, hogy nincs tudomásuk fertőzöttről vagy gyanús tüneteket produkáló személyről a fedélzeten, ugyanakkor minden szükséges óvintézkedést meghoznak. Az egyik korábbi utast, aki még vasárnap szállt partra, kedden diagnosztizálták koronavírussal egy rutinellenőrzés során, amikor megérkezett Dániába. Eközben az észak-norvégiai Tromso kikötőjében veszteglő Roald Amundsen turistahajón már 44 fertőzöttet regisztráltak – közölték a hatóságok. A turistahajó 160 fős legénységét elkülönítették múlt pénteken, miután négy kollégájukat koronavírus-fertőzéssel kórházba vitték. Norvégia a történtekre tekintettel ideiglenesen szigorította a turistahajókra vonatkozó szabályokat hétfőn.

A norvég rendőrség pénteken letartóztatott egy brit állampolgárságú férfit, akit azzal gyanúsítanak, hogy bombával fenyegetőzött a Ryanair Londonból Oslóba tartó járatán – jelentette be Olav Unnestad rendőrségi szóvivő.
A Ryanair légitársaság szóvivője szerint a legénység már a fölszállás után találta meg a bombafenyegetésről szóló írásos üzenetet, ezt követően pedig a kapitány, az ilyen esetekben alkalmazandó biztonsági előírásoknak megfelelően elrendelte az utasok biztonsági ellenőrzését.
Norvég sajtóforrások szerint a fenyegetést tartalmazó cetlit 40 perccel a landolás előtt találták meg. A Boeing 737 típusú utasszállító repülőgép biztonságosan földet ért az Oslo melletti Gardermoen repülőtéren, ahol már készültségbe helyezték a hatóságokat, valamint – a dán védelmi minisztérium Twitteren közölt bejelentése szerint – dán F-16-osok is a helyszínre érkeztek.
A rendőrség egy 51 éves brit férfit tartóztatott le.

A dél-norvégiai Sarpsborg rendőrsége letartóztatott egy férfit, aki három nőt késelt meg kedd éjjel a város különböző pontjain, s az egyik áldozat belehalt súlyos sebeibe.
A támadást követően fegyveres rendőröket vezényeltek az Oslótól mintegy 70 kilométerre délre lévő város utcáira, s a lakosságot otthon maradásra szólították, mivel kezdetben nem tudták, hány elkövetővel kell számolni.
A rendőrség később, hajnali fél kettőkor közölte, semmi nem utal arra, hogy a késelést többen követték volna el. Az NRK tévécsatorna híradása szerint az egyik áldozat felismerte a támadót, akit Sarpsborg központjában fogtak el.
A bűncselekmény indítóokát egyelőre nem ismerik, de a Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad című helyi lap megírta, hogy az egyik áldozat férje szerint a késelő házhoz ment. A férj elmondta, tévézés közben hallották, hogy valaki dörömböl az ajtójukon. Amikor kinyitotta, a férfi meg akarta őt szúrni, de neki sikerült a szúrást elkerülnie. A támadó ezután benyomult a lakásukba, és késével megsebesítette a feleségét a karján.

Nyolc épülettel együtt sodródott bele a tengerbe, majd süllyedt el egy kb. 800 méteres partszakasz Norvégia északi részén szerdán délután – írja az Időkép. A földcsuszamlásról videófelvételek is készültek. A hírek szerint főként elhagyatott épületek, csónakházak és kihasználatlan nyaralók sodródtak bele a tengerbe. A területen csak egy állandó lakos volt bejelentve, őt evakuálták, senkinek sem esett bántódása.
Egy kutya belesodródott a tengerbe a földcsuszamlás miatt, de megmentette magát: kiúszott a partra, és életben van – idézte a Local Torfinn Halvarit, a finnmarki rendőrség munkatársát. A délutáni-esti órákban a rendőrség igyekezett biztosítani a kritikus partszakaszt.
