A nemzeti kiberbiztonságért felelős ügynökség (Acn) közlése szerint vasárnap „tömeges” támadás érte az olaszországi internethálózatokat, emiatt az reggel óta akadozik.
Az Acn szóvivője közölte, hogy több tucatnyi hálózatban már kár is keletkezett, vagy ilyen veszélynek van kitéve.
Az ügynökség arra kérte a használókat, hogy minél előbb változtassák meg a különböző oldalakhoz tartozó jelszavaikat.
Elsőként a legnagyobb országos szolgáltató, a Tim internetes hálózata tűnt el. A legtöbb jelzés a nagyvárosokból érkezett, az északi Milánótól a szicíliai Palermóig: először a vezetékes hálózat állt le, majd a mobilhálózat is rosszul működött.
A Tim kezdetben kizárta a hackertámadást, és „nemzetközi hálózati” problémákra hivatkozott. A postarendőrség is tagadta a hackertámadást, az Acn azonban megerősítette ennek tényét, és vírus terjedéséről beszélt a hazai hálózatban. Stefano Epifani, a digitális fenntarthatóságért felelős alapítvány elnöke a RaiNews24 televízió-csatornának elmondta, hogy az internetes hálózatoknak csak mintegy harminc százaléka működőképes. Hozzátette, hogy reméli hétfőre sikerül megoldani a problémát.

Lezuhant az olasz légierő egyik harci repülőgépe Szicílián – erősítette meg kedden este az olasz hadsereg.
A tájékoztatás szerint a repülőgép a délután folyamán nem tért vissza egy gyakorlórepülésről. A gép feltehetően a sziget nyugati részén található Trapani támaszponttól mintegy 8 kilométerre délkeletre zuhanhatott le. A pilóta keresésére mentőhelikoptert indítottak, a földön rendőrök, tűzoltók és a légierő szakemberei fésülték át a térséget. A pilóta sorsáról egyelőre nem tudni.

A dél-olaszországi Nápolyi-öbölben elterülő Ischia szigetén folytatódtak a mentési munkálatok, miután csütörtökön újabb három holttestet hoztak felszínre, ezzel tizenegyre emelkedett az áldozatok száma – írja a Rai News.
A heves esők és áradások sárlavinát okoztak a szigeten, mintegy 900 épület megrongálódott – mondta Nello Musumeci polgári védelmi miniszter csütörtökön a parlamentben.
Fabrizio Curcio, az olasz polgári védelem vezetője szerint az áradások és földcsuszamlások nemcsak a mintegy 60 ezer lakosú Ischia szigetét fenyegetik, hanem az egész országot, a települések 94 százalékát.
Hozzátette, hogy a gátakat és folyópartokat javítani kellene, építésükkor figyelni kellene a megelőzésre, az embereknek pedig alkalmazkodniuk kell, ha komoly viharokat jeleznek előre.

Róma monszunszerű esőzésre ébredt kedden. Roberto Gualtieri főpolgármester már hétfőn elrendelte a parkok és temetők lezárását. Lezárták a főváros tengerpartjaként ismert Ostia strandterületeit is az erős hullámzás miatt.
A közép-olaszországi Lazio tartományban több város és település iskolája elsősorban a tengerparti térségekben kedden nem nyitott ki. Nápolyban is lezárták a tengerparti sétányokat, és nem nyitottak ki az iskolák, és zárva maradtak Szicília több városában is. Abruzzo tartományban és Szardínia szigetén vörös riasztás lépett életbe: az elsőben rendkívüli havazásra, a szigeten akár 8 méter magas hullámokra is számítanak.
Az országos meteorológiai intézet Nero császár második feleségéről Poppeának nevezte el az időjárási jelenséget, amelyet az utóbbi évtizedek egyik legerősebb ciklonjaként jellemeztek. Ez az előrejelzések szerint felhőszakadást és intenzív havazást hoz az Alpokban, hurrikánszerű szelet a tengeren.
Poppea északkeleti irányból vonul végig a félszigeten, Friuli Venezia Giulia tartománytól egészen Szicíliáig. A sirokkónak nevezett erős szél a tenger vizét a velencei laguna irányába tereli, ezért a városban a következő órákban a tengerszint tetőzésére számítanak. A velenceiek abban bíznak, hogy a vizet a már működő Mose-mobil zsiliprendszer vissza tudja tartani.

Bruno Carbone ellen három letartóztatási parancsot is kiadtak maffiakapcsolatai, illetve kábítószer-kereskedelem miatt. A férfi 2003 óta állt körözés alatt, és húszévi szabadságvesztést kell letöltenie a Spanyolország–Nápoly csempészútvonalhoz köthető nemzetközi drogkereskedelem miatt.
Carbone Olaszország egyik vezető drogkereskedője volt, aki az Egyesült Arab Emírségekbe húzódott vissza. Éveken át ápolt kapcsolatot a kolumbiai drogkartellekkel, amelyek kábítószerrel látták el az olaszországi klánokat. Őrizetbe vételekor hamis útlevél volt nála.

Szombaton lezuhant egy helikopter Dél-Olaszországban. A gép összes utasa életét vesztette – jelentette az olasz médiára hivatkozva az MTI.
A beszámoló szerint a helikopter a pugliai Castelpagano di Apricenánál tűnt el a radarokról. Az eltűnés után a légierő és a szárazföldi hadsereg egységei közösen indítottak keresőakciót.
Puglia régió vezetőhelyettese, Raffaele Piemontese később közölte, hogy megtalálták a lezuhant helikoptert, amelynek a fedélzeten mindenki meghalt.
A balesetben összesen hét személy vesztette életét, közülük négyen egy szlovén család tagjai voltak (sajtóértesülés szerint egyikük egy tizenhárom éves lány volt). A másik három áldozat egy helyi orvos, valamint a helikopter két pilótája volt a Corriere della Sera című olasz napilap szerint.
Úgy tudni, hogy a helikopter napi rendszerességgel tette meg az utat a Pugliában található Foggia és az olasz partok közelében fekvő Tremiti-szigetek között. Egyelőre arra gyanakszanak, hogy a gép feltehetően a rossz időjárási viszonyok miatt zuhant le. A közös önkormányzatot képező szigetek polgármestere, Peppino Calabrese a sajtónak elmondta: a gépen utazó orvos az utolsó pillanatban döntött a helikopteres utazás mellett, és épp a rossz időjárási körülmények miatt nem akart kompra szállni. „Sokkolta a közösségünket. Harmincévi szolgálatom alatt semmi ilyen nem történt” – mondta a polgármester a balesetről.
