Az iraki a fő gyanúsított ismeretségi körébe tartozik, és találkozott vele közvetlenül azelőtt, hogy utóbbit őrizetbe vették, de a merénylettervhez nem volt közvetlenül köze, nincs arra vonatkozó bizonyíték, hogy aktívan részt vett volna annak szervezésében – közölte Gerhard Karner osztrák belügyminiszter.

Vádalkut kötött a 9/11 kitervelésével vádolt három férfi – írja a BBC. Hálid Sejk Mohamed, Valid Mohamed Szalih Mubarak Bin Attas és Musztafa Ahmed Adam al-Havszavi évek óta a kubai Guantánamói-öbölben lévő amerikai haditengerészeti bázison van fogva tartva, anélkül, hogy bíróság elé állították volna őket.

A támadás a nyugat-afrikai ország Mopti mellett található Djiguibombo nevű faluban történt. A településen épp egy esküvő zajlott, amikor fegyveres emberek érkeztek, majd tüzet nyitottak.

Szlovákiában terrortámadássá minősítették át a vádakat a Robert Fico kormányfő elleni májusban elkövetett merénylet ügyében – közölte szerdán Maros Zilinka főügyész a Facebookon.
Azt írta: „A beszerzett bizonyítékok alapján a vád alá helyezett cselekmény a jövőben különösen súlyos bűncselekménynek, terrortámadásnak minősül”.
A szlovák büntetőtörvénykönyv alapján egy terrorcselekmény elkövetője 20-25 év börtönbüntetésre vagy életfogytiglani szabadságvesztésre ítélhető.
Az 59 éves szlovák kormányfő ellen május 15-én, a pozsonyi kabinet Nyitrabányán tartott kihelyezett ülése után követtek el fegyveres merényletet. A 71 éves lévai Juraj Cintulát, aki négy lövéssel sebesítette meg életveszélyesen a miniszterelnököt, a bazini székhelyű különleges bíróság eredetileg előre megfontolt gyilkosság kísérletének vádjával helyezte letartóztatásba.
Robert Kalinák védelmi miniszter és miniszterelnök-helyettes a szlovák köztelevízió egyik politikai vitaműsorában vasárnap azt mondta, hogy a kormányfő a következő napokban várhatóan ismét megjelenik a nyilvánosság előtt és fokozatosan visszatérhet feladatai ellátásához.

A belbiztonsági főigazgatóság (DGSI) 2024. május 22-én letartóztatott egy 18 éves csecsen férfit Saint-Étienne-ben, akit azzal gyanúsítanak, hogy iszlamista ihletésű támadást akart végrehajtani Franciaországban – idézi az MTI a közleményt. Ez az „első meghiúsított támadás, amelyet a párizsi olimpiai játékok ellen” terveztek, a harmadik az év eleje óta, és az ötvenedik 2017 óta – jelezte a tárca.
A letartóztatott fiatal csecsen „az első bizonyítékok szerint aktívan előkészített egy merényletet a Geoffroy Guichard stadion ellen, az oda tervezett labdarúgó mérkőzések alatt” . A közlemény szerint a gyanúsított a nézőket, de a rendfenntartó erőket is szerette volna megtámadni, és ez utóbbiak által mártírként akart meghalni.
A csecsen merénylő tagadja a vádakat
A BFM hírtelevízió értesülése szerint a gyanúsítottat az otthonában tartóztatták le néhány napja, és bűncselekmények előkészítésére irányuló terrorista bűnszövetkezet alapítása vádjával indult ellene eljárás. Ezt követően a gyanúsítottat előzetes letartóztatásba helyezték.
A csecsen fiatal a kihallgatásán tagadta, hogy bármilyen támadást tervezett volna, csak annyit ismert el, hogy titkosított üzenetküldő alkalmazásokon csetelt, de nem állt szándékában akcióba lépni. A BFM szerint a gyanúsított az Iszlám Állam dzsihadista szervezethez és más szélsőséges mozgalmakhoz kötődő emberekkel váltott üzeneteket, amelyeknek témája a szurkolók megtámadása volt.
A rendőrségi házkutatáskor a nyomozók egy számítógépen megtalálták Saint-Étienne stadionjának fényképét, valamint a gyanúsított mobiltelefonjában is találtak felvételeket a stadionról. A jelentés szerint Gyehtyarenko elmondta, hogy a terrortámadások tervezése mögött Oroszország fő hírszerző ügynöksége, ismertebb nevén a GRU állt.

Legalább hét ember meghalt és több mint húsz megsebesült a szíriai lázadók kezében lévő Azaz városának piacán elkövetett merényletben. Autóba rejtett pokolgép robbant a piacon, amely a ramadán miatt tele volt vásárlókkal a késő esti órákban, amikor a merényletet elkövették.
A Reuters tudósítása szerint egyelőre senki sem vállalta a felelősséget a támadásért.
Azaz a török határ közelében található, és az Ankara támogatását élvező lázadók kezében van.
Az utolsó pokolgépes merényletet két éve követték el, azóta viszonylagos nyugalom uralkodott a településen. A Szíria északnyugati térségeiben található városokban azonban gyakoriak a hasonló támadások a civilekkel zsúfolt helyeken.
A helyiek és a lázadók a kurdok vezette Népvédelmi Erőket (YPG) gyanítják az akciók mögött, amely nagy területeket tart kézben Szíria északi és északkeleti részén, valamint az Eufrátesztől keletre, mások a Basár Aszad elnökhöz hű erőket. Az YPG régóta tagadja a vádakat.
Ankara a betiltott Kurd Munkáspárt (PKK) szövetségesének tekinti az YPG-t, és az általa támogatott szíriai szervezetek folyamatosan támadják a kurdokat, jelentős katonai sikereket elérve.

Az Iszlám Állam vállalta magára a mai moszkvai terrortámadás elkövetését. Az orosz hatóságok még nem erősítették meg, hogy valóban az iszlamista radikális szervezet fegyveresei gyilkoltak.
Közleményt adott ki az Iszlám Állam, melyben magukra vállalták a moszkvai Crocus City ellen elkövetett terrormerényletet. Az Iszlám Állam szerint az összes elkövető el tudott menekülni.
Az orosz hatóságok nem erősítették meg, hogy valóban ők követték el a támadást, a gyanúsítottakról továbbra sincs hivatalosan kiadott információ.
Helyszíni beszámolók alapján szakállas, kaukázusi kinézetű férfiak gyilkoltak a koncertteremben, de erről még szintén nincs hiteles bizonyíték. Eddig nagyon kevés hiteles, vagy legalább annak tűnő információ jelent meg a terrortámadás gyanúsítottjairól.

Az al-Shabaab iszlamista terrorszervezet fegyveresei csütörtök este megtámadtak egy hotelt a szomáliai fővárosban, Mogadishuban. A harcok jelenleg is zajlanak.
A biztonsági erők egyik tagja, Ahmed Dahir a sajtónak azt mondta, a fegyveresek helyi idő szerint este 10 körül törtek be az elnöki palotától nem messze lévő szállodába, ahol lövöldözni kezdtek.
A támadás hírét az al-Shabaab is megerősítette Telegramon, a Garowe Online nevű szomáliai hírportál pedig úgy tudja, a terroristák elbarikádozták magukat az épületben.
