Dél-Oroszországban az A(H5N8) típusú új madárinfluenza már hét emberre terjedt át – adta hírül szombati moszkvai sajtótájékoztatóján Anna Popova tisztifőorvos, az orosz fogyasztóvédelmi felügyelet (Roszpotrebnadzor) vezetője.
Popova szerint ez volt az első bizonyított eset, hogy az A(H5N8) emberre terjedt át. A vírus genetikai anyagát a Roszpotrebnadzorhoz tartozó novoszibirszki Vektor Központ mutatta ki egy olyan baromfitelep alkalmazottjainál, ahol 2020 decemberében madárinfluenzát észleltek.
Az orosz tisztifőorvos szerint az orosz hatóságok azonnal és rövid időn belül minden szükséges intézkedést megtettek az emberek és állatok védelmében annak érdekében, hogy a kockázatot a minimumra csökkentsék, így a kialakult helyzet nem fajult tovább.
Elmondta, hogy a betegség klinikai lefolyása mind a hét fertőzött esetében gyors és könnyű volt, szervezetükben a Vektor szakértői felfedezték az immunválasz jegyeit.
Noha az A(H5N8) átlépte a fajok közötti határt, Popova szerint az új típusú madárinfluenza-vírusnak emberről emberre való átterjedését mindeddig nem észlelték. A tisztifőorvos úgy vélekedett, hogy a Vektor felfedezése lehetővé teszi a világ tudósainak és hatóságainak figyelmeztetését arra, hogy tegyenek lépéseket az új fenyegetés elhárítására és megelőzésre.
Az esetről szóló információkat Oroszország az Egészségügyi Világszervezet (WHO) rendelkezésére bocsátotta és a Vektor a nemzetközi GISAID adatbázisban közzétette az A(H5N8) genomszintű vírus-szekvenálásának adatait, azokkal a mutációkkal együtt, amelyek képessé tették a fajok közötti határ átlépésére.
A H5N1 kódjelű madárinfluenza-vírusról már korábban bebizonyosodott, hogy emberre is át tud terjedni.
